Very cool game. The mouse-clicking become frantic. Dialogs are fun, but they cut the flow of action. Alternative sprites for cooked ingredients would have been a very nice addition.

Gotta love a "Fired-o-meter". I actually found it quite tough to cook the meals. Good job
this is a real game! initially didn't realize the middle part was for cooking stuff (maybe if it had different graphics then more clear, without having to read docs).
Got score of 358 and completed orders of 30! Very difficult but quite addicting and fun hehe
Burger time!
I had try to cook a lot of things in the same time but the boss it's no happy when all are overcook
This game is very fun! Very satisfying to fulfill each order, and I really like the design choice of allowing items to be grilled half way. The only thing I would add is some light bgm. Bravo!
@zantze Not bad! At some point you get a feeling for how many burgers/eggs to keep at the grill at a time :D game.png
I enjoyed this game. It works well and the graphics are good for the timeframe - okay maybe not the boss but the rest ;)
Sound was good but I think this would be a great area for depth in this type of game. Also, a backing music track would be a great add. I know how limited the time is and I only recently started pushing myself here but feel it adds a lot.
The difficulty (for me at least) was tuned such that it was hard to get a flow going in the normal game. I saw your suggestion for easy mode and it was a good idea to add that feature. I always struggle with where to set the difficulty given the wide range of people. I think giving options in the game works well.
Great job making a game in 48 hours!
@blockerz Thanks for the feedback, Graphics are not my strong point and certainly making sprites for people is just impossible for me ;)
Good point on the sound, I really should look into making better sounds and music tracks, so far all I've used is just SFXR to generate basic sounds.
I love cooking games ! Adding easy mode was def a good idea, well done for adding it in the small time that we had. Good job ! (and if you struggle to makes sprite for people, you can always not make humans, make a robot, an alien or an animal ! I find it easier to find alternate solution instead of trying to draw things that i don't know how to draw (or that i don't want to draw, like backgrounds, i hate them))
I don't really like cooking games but this one got me with the fired-o-meter and the diversity of phrases said to me when I messed up. And I messed up a lot.
Gotta love the panic-inducing gameplay of food service games! Definitely felt the good kind of stress that comes with the genre. The flow of the game was easy to grasp, but the game itself was far from easy. I lasted for quite a while, but inevitably, I made enough mistakes to fill the "fire-o-meter."
Also, the manager portrait made me giggle :)
The beginning is a little too intense with three orders right away. Maybe it could start with one and create the other two when the first is delivered for the player to get the hang of it?
A music would help a lot to get in the mood too!
Overall, the game is solid. Great job!
I've worked on a kitchen during some Expo events. This game feels like that experience. It brings me some good old memories. Loved it!
Very cool game! The only thing I wished was that it supported touch controls, I would love to play this game either on my iPad or on my Android smartphone, but sadly on both devices I only could touch the buttons in the menu, but not drag the ingredients in the game. :( Nevertheless it's really fun, great work!
Haha I love this manager ! And his face is hilarious ! Really good entry and I had quite a lot of fun playing your game!
Great job.
That was a lot of fun! I did find my hand getting pretty cramped from all the clicking and dragging. I also tried it on an iPad. It didn't work but I think this would be great on a touch screen!
@binarydiv @machwerx Good feedback on the iPad/phone support, this was my first ever web game (have always used Java), I'll definitely look into making future entries work with touch!
That's a lot of clicking!
I was a bit afraid that I would eventually either break my mouse or my hand. This game is definitely not for prolonged gaming sessions
Maybe it would help to add an alternative control scheme alongside drag and drop? I'm thinking about a modal approach, kind of like selecting different tools in Photoshop/Krita/GIMP: - click (or press a shortcut) to select the meat - you get into "meat placing mode" - further clicking on the gray area would place a new meat - clicking on a different icon could get you into "assembling" mode - then you could click on the icons below the plates or the cooked stuff to place it
And so on, hopefully the idea is clear, not sure if it's any good . Also it might probably require tuning the difficulty afterwards.
Maybe it would also be good to somehow highlight the plates with little time left? Also I would like to have a progress bar on the things that I was cooking. It was hard to tell how long everything will take.
The game itself is fun, and balanced pretty well. I'm getting solid Overcooked vibes, which is a good thing
Great job!
Nice game! It would have been nice if there could have been some kind of indicator on the burger meat as to how long it had left till it was cooked/burnt but apart from that it was a pretty fun and well made. Nice job!
This game has a lot of potential! I had fun with it for a bit but in the end I did feel like the difficulty hindered my enjoyment. That being said, I don't think this game needs much tweaking to make it great! For example - like you wrote in the description - a smaller grill and overall game area would be great. Nice job!!
It's a solid game! I liked it but at some point I realized I'm useless in the kitchen :D Dragging the ingredients is my biggest "problem" with it as it started to hurt after a while. Click to grab then click to drop would be a lot easier, for me at least. And some more feedback on when things are cooked etc would be nice. But other than those things it's a nice game, good stuff!
