A cool take on a strategy game, and I respect the stable pun
Had a blast playing and finishing the game. Good depth to the game, very unique idea, art is pretty nice. The hay carts very little problematic since horses would sometimes struggle to pick up the spawned hay and were instead just pushed around by it. Stampede :racehorse: :racehorse: :racehorse: is really cool but also pretty dangerous many horses escaped because of it.
unstable literally hahaha love this!
Cool game! I think it could be good timekiller for mobile
Cool game, i enjoyed the gameplay
Loved the concept of having to set the horses up for a good path and then praying for them to make the best of it. Well done! :D
Thanks for playing my game! I tried out yours and at first I was a bit overwhled by all the tutorials, but after playing for a minute or two, it became pretty clear how the game worked, and it was fun to try to strategize a bit!
I got to level 5, and then I got a bug where one of the horses got pushed off the map after the round, and I couldn't open the stables again though.
The graphics were really well made, and the game played well. Good job on the game, and good luck with the ratings!
Great game! It took me a second to get a hang of everything but it was fun playing through it! Everything blends together really well and the horse sound galloping is satisfying!
I thought for sure I'd be the only person to call their game "Unstabled". Great minds.
This is a lot of fun, and I like how the difficulty ramps up with the removal of fence sections.
I think you could have gotten away with fewer instructions -- I found that screen a little overwhelming (and actually gave up on reading halfway down). The screen makes the game look much more complicated than it is... in my opinion, all a player really needs to know to start playing is: 1) drag and drop your horses to move them into stables; 2) click the stable doors to release them; 3) collect these things, avoid these things.
I love the game! First I was overwhelmed by the instructions. But trying it out and it was well accessible. Nice idea!!! Fits the theme unexpectedly. And a lot to see and consider: different types of things to collect the open gates at bottom, the direction of horses (little thing: the arrow shows a bit off the actual direction, which makes it a bit difficult). And I love the stampede :-) One other little thing: The dividers of the stable at top are a bit misleading: block horses from start and hide them. Very fitting music. Great game! (and very fair to get more horses later, as I lost three due to the chaos in bottom). Note: One horse got stuck outside the screen once and I had hard time clicking it. And I made it. Finished a game! Made me happy, as I never finish games.
Didn't expect such a well thought-out strategy game, but this is what it is. Had a lot of fun managing this horse ranch. Also, I gave Your podcast a listen and I will probably be back for more.
Instructions seemed hard at the start but actually were very intuitive after starting the game. Interesting take on the theme, well done.
I was impressed by how intuitive the game is and the situation variety kept me playing this one for a while. The sound design and the presentation are very clean and the moving parts come together so well. About the only problem I had was the wall of instructions at the start.
Loved the theme, its a neat little idea and game. The wall of text instruction were a bit much, probably would have worked with a few pictures
A fun, interesting, unique strategy game! I think it particularly shines because of its charm - the music, clopping of the horses and nicknames all help to create a relaxing feel and I felt attached to my horses.
Some interesting drawbacks with the bushes, fences, and horses getting in each others' way.
And I quite liked the game art.
I think a couple of things that would've been helpful (I know you were probably very crunched on time, being a game jam): - Tutorial levels that slowly introduce mechanics and number of horses - Labeling horse attribute above them, so you don't have to click on them to see, like the way you did the arrows
And one fun little thing would've been to be able to nickname the horses yourself, to further personalize the game and provide attachment to your pets.
Overall, awesome stuff!
Really enjoyed this game. I was worried by the wall of text at the beginning, but the game was easy to understand once I started playing. The audio adds a lot to the mood of the game. Great job.
It was definitely a fun time.
