The art for this game was so cute!!! And the music was definitely a head bopper! I only wish that there was a setting option to turn down the music a bit... BUT THAT'S FINE BECAUSE THE ART OMG and this concept is soooooo cute :')

The art is really cool, I felt the combos didn't respond to the prompts at times, when there are two people speaking from both sides it hard to tell what they both require, but I liked the mood and aesthetic overall.

Yeah we wanted to do so much more but didn't have time! We were way too ambitious having never made a rhythm game before :joy:

this game is so adorable :>

I love the art style in this game. The animations match the music wonderfully and moves at a very comfortable pace.

The rhythm elements worked great most of the time, there are a few times where you're expected to hit a beat while you're listening to the prompt from another window, and that always felt a bit off. Having said that, when windows line up in a way that you can actually decode it's really fun to be able to hit them in quick side-to-side combinations.

I feel like this is an interesting combination of beat rhythm games and note track rhythm games, and I'd love to see it expanded upon. Really nice work.

it took a little while to get down exactly how the rhythm and response should feel but once i got it it was really fun, and i love the art style, this is great

This is so cute and unique! I don't think I've every seen a rhythm game designed like this! I love the sketchy graphics and stylish animation, a very cute concept as well~ I can imagine Kira delivering flowers across the whole city and spreading lots of colors.

I think text boxes for different people, or maybe an indicator for when they were approaching, would make the combos easier to reach. For the combos I did get, I think the little happy sprite change is was the most adoreable thing!

art is so beautiful ! it could use some way of knowing when you should press the buttons though. music is great and animation is wonderful !

What an ambitious take on the theme, I've gotta appreciate it. It's kind of hard to get to grips with what to do even with the makeshift tutorials but maybe it's just not clicking for me haha. The music and art are great, good job.

This game is so wonderfull and adorable! I love the art and people! The best thing is when that one person turns into a flower, haha! But I am so bad at rythm games, and I did not know what to press at what times? Also when you spam F & J, it looks like she's hitting herself on the head, haha :D

The premise of spreading happiness even to those that yell that they hate you is really cool! The music is nice and the art is what drew me in in the first place.

Gameplay wise, it's a bit shallow as you can just mash both buttons very fast and still get everyone a flower.

Still a fun and quite different experience, this one :)

What a different and unique style you have, I love it. It feels like something straight out from a cartoon (and I mean that in the best possible way). I am terrible at rhythm games so it took me quite a while before I was able to start spreading flowers, but it felt very rewarding when I started to manage.

There is something strangely motivational and uplifting about this game. Thank you for creating this gem, it's entries like this which make Ludum Dare special!

The gorgeous art and fun music help create a wonderful atmosphere. It's cute and charming!

Well done

I loved the art, atmosphere and the idea of the game. My only wish is to have a number of "healed" people in the upper right corner of the game window.

picross 2021-05-03 05:07

Adored the graphics and music. Reminds me of a Rhythm Heaven minigame. I wish the prompts didn't overlap as much because it was hard for me to wrap by head around. Nice work!

Lovely experience! Creative approach to rhythm game :) The graphics and music are really pretty and stylish. Good job, keep up the good work!

Loved the hand drawn art and the point of view perspective. Good stuff.

Wow!! Cannot believe this gem of a game slipped under my radar for this long.

- Love the music and how it interacts with the gameplay and voice lines of the townspeople. The "I hate you!" happening so often felt a bit harsh in contrast with the overall upbeat feel of the music and gameplay.

- Excellent visuals, extremely polished gameplay and I love the unique perspective from which the game is played.

- Such a unique take on a rhythm game! Would be cool to see a score total at the end or have some effect from successfully/unsuccessfully throwing flowers at people.

- Not sure what it has to do with the jam theme but either way I loved it!

peterfiftyfour 2021-05-04 02:13

@quite-good thanks! we had a whole story planned with multiple things becoming deeper and deeper but it took SO long to get the actual rhythm stuff working we could hardly do any of it :D I hope we can expand on it some time as any excuse to show off min's art is great hehe

bitsandcrafts 2021-05-09 20:34

Awesome. Very cool art and gameplay. Fun. GJ

This one's got some styyyyyle :sunglasses:

I think the rhythm aspect is a biiiiiiiiiit wonky, but to be fair, rhythm games are really hard to implement in a single weekend. I really enjoyed the beat that went along with it though. Would love to see this expanded upon!

I think communication is key in any relationship, but especially in marriage. It's important to be honest and open with your partner, and to be willing to listen to their thoughts and feelings https://angel.co/u/erryn-tyni . It's also important to make time for each other, and to show appreciation for the little things. Lastly, don't forget to have fun together and to laugh!
