Your team made a full text based game in just three days. The game is actually really quirky and cute. I liked the ending I got, having a perfectly mowed lawn with puppies frolicking doesn't sound that bad to me. I'm not a mildly evil overlord though, so maybe that has something to do with it.
I really do like the concept a lot though, and the execution of that concept is quite decent as well. The art really brought a lot of life to the already solid writing. Overall very good game.
Thank you, @circle, this is so nice to hear! Everybody in our team tried to keep our inner perfectionists in a cage and kept an eye on time spent on each task. Like we were working at a startup and were waiting for investors to come and check us on Monday :)

I go on to live scarily ever after... First game I played after submitting. I loved it. Audio and visuals are on point. I loved, how you mixed criticism of the digital ages, with me being the evilest Thing on earth. Very good work.

great work, and very profound, even though i'm not the type of player of that genre, i recognize the amazing artwork and script

Out of curiosity, what tool did you use to create this? The amount of content in this game is really impressive. Great art style as well!

Oh man, everything about this is great! This has been one hell of an experience. I was a little bit surprised when I saw the interface for the first time, but it is really nice!

@baknik thank you! We used Twine :)

Wowie, this is good. I adore the writing, and I love how the options you have don't make it completely obvious which stat will decrease at a first glance. And the theme of "Unstable" is briliantly used here. All around, super impressed, this is such a charming little experience.
@baknik and a real timesaver for us was to plan "the games bones" in Miro (https://miro.com/). Nobody paid me for this advertising, not a legal advice either :)
I loved it, the only detail is that it's hard to keep track of stat changes, but then again it's not that important. Curious how many endings there are

@crispypin thank you for the feedback! there were five endings, one of which was kinda maybe the winning one, although that really depends on your point of view :D
@sasha-v oh cool, I might try finding the other ones later then. I got the ending where some 19 year-old signed a contract that they were scared, does that mean I "won"? Excellent writing anyway

@crispypin haha yes that is "winning" insofar as the main character sees it! Some of the "losing" endings sound pretty good to me though...
Really fun game ! You wrote a lot more than us and with a lot of humor. Good job, it's really cool !
Love the game guys, the art style it's simply amazing, combined with the music it gives a nice vibe. The narrative is great, what you guys manage to accomplish in just 3 days is amazing. A thing that I would've liked to be different is the stats to be integrated in the game screen, somewhere on the top screen in line.

Very well written! I included it in my Ludum Dare 49 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/IO7T3gBWVBc

So impressive! Really charming art and writing, and an incredible amount of content for a small team working on a jam timescale :)

I'd really love to play this game, but when I start the web build on Itch.io, I receive a popup with the text "Error: no valid storage adapters found". Is that a bug in the build or is it just me using Chrome?

Hi @danae, thank you for the interest! I have just tested the game both in Chrome and Opera, looks like all is working; I googled the error and it looks like it's connected to cookie settings in your browser! Twine needs cookies to store the game info, so if your browser blocks cookies it's impossible unfortunately. To enable cookies only for itch.io, go to Chrome settings -> privacy -> cookies and there's a list of websites that are allowed to use cookies, and add itch.io there. Although if that's too much of a faff or if you'd just prefer to not change those settings - no worries, completely understandable :)
Really well written and very funny! Loved the small jokes everywhere. I really enjoyed the spoof of startup culture during the scene where the minions wanted kind bars (instead of mean bars) and vegan flesh for the zombies. The art for each page was also well done and helped boost the mood over being just a bunch of words. Overall, this was great!
A really fun game.I love the graphic

My next life as a villain. I feel accomplished!
@danae my friend wrote me about such bug yesterday:
By the way, when I first went to play One Dark Day, I got a weird error message: "no valid storage adapters found". It turned out that I had to enable third-party cookies, and then it went away
ooh a story driven game that's pretty cool, I generally love this game as a fan of story based games, well done

Wow! The content seems overwhelming. A text based game of that size is super impressive. Unusual for an Jam entry, but i loved the Art, setting and stories. Well done. :)

Thanks for playing our game! I cracked up at this: "Maulmart? Accostco? Targeted? Unsafeway? Best Buy?" The music is amazing

I love art, I love music, I love history and I love this game. Just an excellent job. Congratulations.
And I went on to live scarily ever after :)
Very nicely written - it was a joy to read and play through. The illustrations are also very cool - the sketchy style really fits the setting.
I'm not sure how challenging it was supposed to be to keep your stats over 20%, but it seemed to me like it just happened semi-effortlessly.
Great job on the game!
Why no rating in audio? It was quite charming, otherwise plenty of text could be skipped. That's an interesting take on the theme and some cool lore within, but still feels too much of a narrative (even for me, being a writer). But that's a great foundation for a proper game, so, please, keep up! The art is cool here).

Nice art style, but too much text for me)
@ardorugus the music is not ours, I'll ask Leonius where he got that and add all the credits :) If you liked the music choice, I guess you can express it in 'mood' grade
@gerrrard I think in ideal case we should have offered choices "twitch version" and "I dont hurry, can read lots of letters" :) Maybe next time :)

@natalia-dushkina очень хорошая идея. Даже странно, раньше как то не встречал такую механику
The writing is excellent! The illustrations and music add a lot to the experience, but the biggest strength is the story. I loved the humor. Really nicely done.
What a mood, what a writing! I felt compelled to keep going until the very end. This is my kind of game! I know the music used is royalty free and not made during the jam, but still, you chose the perfect match.
