I actually thoroughly enjoyed this! It was quite entertaining trying to match the patterns. Job well done!

looking-eye 2017-04-26 21:04

I liked it!

zorg 2017-05-02 21:02

Looks good, sounds good, but i don't know what to do. It would be great for touch controls, i guess.

iluvatar 2017-05-09 10:39

Very interesting idea. One of the most original games I have seen so far. Good job :)

chupachu 2017-05-11 18:44

Very awesome program!

agentparsec 2017-05-11 19:48

I'm a fan of procedural music, so well done! The graphics also suit the purpose of the game very nicely.

occultone 2017-05-12 02:32

I played this on Livestream Today at the request of the Developer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zCqO_O0iIo

Really amazing procedural audio and getting to hang out with the developer. I really look forward to seeing this as a tablet game, or maybe a tablet-based instrument. (Really want to dig into the code and see how it all worked)

zirrrus 2017-05-12 14:48

I have no idea what is going on and wasn't able to achieve anything. But it looks and sounds great. I like it!

sagarpatel25700 2017-05-12 16:55

- Wow the Music is so awesome to listen. - And with that graphics is its really feel so good to listen - I wasn't actually able to figure out what is the Gameplay But i enjoyed the music

alex-williams 2017-05-12 23:07

Very cool man! Love the beat. Would really love to see more gameplay to it, but very cool.

kodiqi 2017-05-13 01:31

This is pretty cool. Having seen what it has developed into on your Twitch channel makes it hard for me to judge your compo entry as a separate thing. Obviously there isn't a lot of "game" to be played here but that's not what you were aiming for. I'm not musical at all and this makes me feel like I am, which is a big achievement. With my lack of musical knowledge I don't know how far this could go as an actual music production tool but I would think the ability to export what you've created would be a useful feature.

I really enjoyed playing around with the music on your Twitch channel but found the inputs a bit overwhelming. Again that comes down to my lack of knowledge but the multitude of options left me sticking to the basics. That could be helped with better UI if you were to release it as a standalone application, maybe with some explanation of what does what for the Level 1 musicians like me :)

ajayajayaj 2017-05-13 03:22

So cool, the music made is really nice, and I really like the effects made. I wish I knew how to create something like this (I struggle with music) :)

mooncalf 2017-05-13 04:11

It looks and sounds very good. I enjoyed playing with it for awhile, but after I sampled all the variations I ran out of things to do. Nevertheless, it was fun to play with for awhile even without goals.

Thank you for making it for us.

thrillho 2017-05-14 03:29

It certainly looks and sounds interesting, but I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm sure that's mostly a failure on my part, but a tutorial would have been nice. Other than that, nice job!

kate-kligman 2017-05-14 06:01

Very soothing to play! Thanks for releasing this.

btwj 2017-05-14 08:14

I realise this is not really a game, but more of an experimental plaything but it was still pretty cool. The way the graphics synced with the music looked good, and the procedural music generated wasn't bad either. Good job! :)

porcus-pie 2017-05-14 08:15

Nice work, the game sounds really cool and the looks fit the style of the music as well. Although I am not sure if you would call it a game, or rather a generator, as I found very little interaction within the program. However this didn't stop it from being fun and entertaining, and I enjoyed it. Very innovative

mhgamework 2017-05-14 10:48

minute 1: Super psyched about seeing the modal scales in a procedural audio game minute 2: Trying to decide which pattern I like best minute 4: Attempting to predict how each scale will sound before clicking it minute 5: Wondering how you are displaying the scales on screen minute 6: Discovered you can click the notes, randomly bashing the notes everywhere

I think you are definitely on to something here, its very captivating as is. Its probably not really a "game" but it definitly is a Toy, and toys are the things use use to make games!

Great! you got some 5ves from me :)

alexrose 2017-05-15 16:16

Needs more sexyback.

bomb-x 2017-05-15 17:26

I loved it ! As a musician it's stunning to see the regular patterns of the different modes of known music ! It's a way to put some visual into what feels like only audible ! Great job ! As some ideas i would personnaly put in the game : - I would have loved a no music pattern only to test some melodies by myself, i would have take some HOURS with a mode like this ! - Please develop this for mobile, it would be a blast without a doubt, there are already some apps like this, but not on this theme nor of this type ! I don't like this follow the theme either, but i don't mind actually !

Great job !

feltip 2017-05-15 19:24

Not a clue what im doing but looked and sounded cool haha. Defo a cool little project. Good job :)

gamepopper 2017-05-15 19:33

Really nice visuals and audio, although I kind of wish there was a bit more interactivity. Still though a great concept for procedural audio!

julian-creutz 2017-05-15 20:29

Sound and Graphics are awesome! But the gameplay... I don't really know what I have to do. An introduction would be great, but still, nice entry!

nicruo 2017-05-15 23:26

This is not a game, it's a toy. A really well made music toy. It's a good experience to have none the less. Keep it up!

csanyk 2017-05-16 02:58

Really cool. The graphics and audio are top notch.

random-storykeeper 2017-05-16 05:31

Well I finally checked this out...it's an interesting concept, it seems, but the one thing I question is, *is* the game supposed to look like this?

Drone 01.png

I've tried reloading the game several times, tried different settings for the scales and patterns and such, but I only see this blank screen with no hexagons as seen in the screenshots. Am I missing something?

The audio is pretty interesting, how you can contort the melody into different iterations and even input some notes yourself, but I don't know if there was supposed to be more of a display than that, which is all I see.

atmospherium 2017-05-16 14:59

@random-storykeeper, thanks for giving it a play. Not sure why none of the graphics are showing up for some people, but no, it's not supposed to look like that. Glad you were able to at least have some fun with it in spite of the bug.

acuity 2017-05-17 17:43

This is pretty neat! There are so many different keys to try, I had a lot of fun playing around with it.

annagavaldakedavra 2017-05-18 13:49

Nice, i like it, nice beat! I's interesting to chose your mode. Also i like that there is even less things to do than in my game :). I'd have like an ingame sampler so i can record my own patterns.
