Nice.
Loved the presentation and the rotation went hand-in-hand with creating a sense of urgency and action. SFX, Music, Graphics were really good as well. Just a small note, the final boss bugged out on me and got stuck in the wall, no longer doing anything.
All in all, I'm glad that I played that game. A little seasick, but glad. Would love to see a longer version.

This was very fun to play. Using the gun was satisfying, the multi shot was great, rotating the camera almost made me vomit, but it fit in nice into the game regardless and I had genuine fun while playing it. I had a possible bug during the boss battle where the screen froze and a small screen with the game appeared in the middle of the frozen screen... that was weird. Liked the simple, yet nice visuals as well.
Interesting game, nice old-styled graphics, but my only complain is that rotating camera around player axis is a little bit confusing and can make some people feel sick. To sum up with it's a fun game but laks a little polishing.

I'm sorry to say this but your game made me feel sick after about 1 minute, which is a shame cause it seemed liked fun, I didn't want to turn it off but I had to. I now know why these games are generally fixed perspective hehe. Can you try a version that doesn't rotate?

Love the art style. Game has a nice feel to it, the enemy designs are super cool. Mechanically was a little simple, kinda feels unintuitive that locking on to more enemies kills them slower, I feel like you should reward that behaviour with more damage or a combo or something since it's hard to keep lots of enemies locked on. The rotating camera kinda disoriented me a lot too. Really like it despite that stuff though, the enemy designs are super distinctive and cool.

The game is good! I like killing those cockroaches with the zap. It is satisfying. I have some trouble with the camera and with the aim... I don't get why you didn't let the user move the target freerly with the mouse instead of the up/down and left/right thing. BTW good game, keep up the good work! :)

The game is fun to play! Although I think the boss had too much health.

Well that was a hell of a lot of fun i felt like playing a top-down doom for some reason and it was amazing. at fist the camera moving with the mouse was strange but later it just became epic. I would surely continue work on this its really interesting. Also didn't really understand the point of energy. You get it from enemies and form those stations and then what. Just killed everything and the boss without thinking about energy.

@3mpty The idea behind that was to introduce a tactical factor to the fight, but I agree it doesn't work at all, especially in the current version where the gun's range is indeed not infinite. I'd change it but it's a jam entry.
@reggnos The energy works kinda like backup health, it starts going towards real health if you don't get shot for a while. I had a hunch doom pros would never get hit and thus not even realize.
Also I'm sorry everyone who got sick, I had no idea that could happen. My previous games with rotating top-down camera didn't get anyone sick to my knowledge, I reckon it may have to do with the introduction of 3D walls.
It's really an interesting phenomenon deserving of investigation.
I made the masochistic choice of playing this game with a trackpad, and I still had a blast. It has a very interesting control scheme and a truly old-school vibe. Not just retro in aesthetics, but in level design philosophy.

Nice concept! I thought it was completely a twin-stick shooter game, but not exactly like that, eh? :) Pretty fun to play and the visual style is great, really fast-paced and challenging!
That scorpion boss's lasers were kinda hard to dodge and, don't know if it's because of the way the game plays or the striped pattern, were kinda difficult for me to see them properly sometimes.
But really nice to play! And kinda remembered me a bit of Machine Hunter, in style!
Good work there! ;)
*NICE*
Reminds me of [Take No Prisoners](http://www.mobygames.com/game/take-no-prisoners), except actually enjoyable (tried replaying that and it does not live up to modern standards).
The dodging and fighting work fine. I too would have liked an incentive for targeting multiple enemies as it is a cool idea. Regenerating health based on the energy you have is neat too. At first I though it was plain old magic regen, but luckily that was not the case!
The energy beam broke near the end of the first level and it didn't show up until getting to the boss fight. It still worked, the graphics simply disappeared.
Good work!

Wow, that was disorienting! The perspective really messed with my brain. I had a bunch of fun though, really well done!
The camera rotation felt a wee bit jarring to me but aside from that the game plays really well and i enjoyed it!

Nice game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DrJOSU_FjM
