LD39 — Running out of Power

Ten Little Letters by blinry 2017-08-14T22:58:54Z

Great game! The idea is great, the sound effects were good, the energy gain/reduction seems balanced, and for a game made in just 24 hours it seems solid! I would add background music to the whole game, and maybe some upgrades that could be unlocked.

Overall, I enjoyed playing! It didn't seem like a 24 hour quick sandbox prototype, but like a solid game! Hope you get well soon!

Shoulda, Coulda but Didn't by Budaniel 2017-08-15T18:19:54Z

Nice game! The theme didn't really fit though...

Some more backstory would improve the game, and the loading could be improved, so you don't see the world loading in as you drive. Maybe some fog could improve the situation?...

Also I found myself out of power way to quickly. Maybe some more energy pods?

Overall, nice game, but there is still a lot more that could be done to improve it!

CHAINED by Mr. Chelnoque 2017-08-15T19:19:39Z

Very nice game! The music was awesome, the graphics were well made, the story lines were great, and the whole gameplay felt solid! It could be improved if you allowed screen customization, so we could make it go full screen if we wanted to.

Overall, very nice game! Well done!

Goyom by stefvanschie 2017-08-04T09:42:49Z

The idea seems nice, the puzzles seem possible but also quite hard. The explanation button is way too hard to read (at least for me. Some letters are half drawn). The graphics could use more work and the difficuly scale should be lowered a bit (or have an easy/normal/hard mode button somewhere).

There is definitely some strategy to this game, but the candy isn't clear enough. The green ones seem to fill it all the way up, and the red not at all?

In my opinion, this is a great idea. It just needs more polishing and more balancing of the levels. Some more explanation of what each candy does would be appreciated too!

Galvanica by icxon 2017-08-08T08:36:03Z

Verry nice game! The dialoge was funny, the graphics looked nice, and the game even remembers my choices and gives answers that depend on them!

The music was great, the inpacts were nice, I enjoyed the mini games and the dialoge was both funny and sometimes helpfull!

I can't find any negatives. This is a very well made game, and it feels completed! Well done!

Flip The Switch by madalaski 2017-08-15T20:50:13Z

Very nice game! You could show the controls a little better though, so it would be easier to play.

Overall, nice game, great music and great idea! The gameplay felt solid and enjoyable! Well done!

Wired Game by zzq 2017-08-15T19:51:49Z

I like it! The art is nice, the puzzles seem fair, you have kept the balancing curve nicely, and is a unique idea overall!

Some music would improve it. Maybe if you made a smimple loop you could use that?

Overall, very nice game! I really like it! Well done!

FRIEND-1 by everythingWasBees 2017-08-04T09:31:56Z

The game seems nice, but it's quite hard to play. I always find myself hitting an asteroid or something, and I never see it coming. Maybe you could increse the scale of this game, so we can see obstacles easier and have a chance of avoiding them!

Mr Mayor's Energy Crisis by HuvaaKoodia 2017-08-09T20:44:17Z

Very enjoyable game! The graphics looks nice, the music was great, the story and events were all both funny and troubling, further adding to the overall challenge of the game, there were multiple endings which I enjoyed (I got the low popularity one and the nuclear catastophy one!)

I can't find any negatives, the idea was brilliant making you choose between popularity and crowd, and balance these two things together, the music was enjoyable and fitting, the details were nice (like the eagle showing up and the duck actually having a sound when clicked!) and I really enjoyed playing it! Well done!

Power Restoration by tinfoilboy 2017-08-03T12:11:20Z

Nice game! The idea of restoring power is fun and unique! The parkoor needs a little bit of work though. You get used to the controls quite easy, but I got stuck at the third level, not finding the exit and not being able to reach the second lamp post... thing... that thing, anyway!

Overall, I enjoyed it!

If you want to see some actuall candy, check out my game called Candy Wars! I just need three more ratings to have a final score!

The Journalist by mato26 2017-08-16T18:43:42Z

Nice game! The sound effects and music are awsome, and the idea seems nice too! The articles are super random and you have kept the difficulty curve between levels! This game feels completed! Well done!

LittleBots by Joe Cowman 2017-08-18T17:41:34Z

HELP! I'M STUCK! Screenshot_283.png

I really liked it! The graphics look nice, the physics are good, a jump button would be nice but overall very solid gameplay! The audio was fitting, the story is acceptable, and the whole controls thing just adds up to the challenge of the game!

Very nice game! Well done!

REAMS by CameronPenner 2017-08-21T18:10:05Z

Nice game! The graphics seem nice, and the start screen was well made! The music was awesome, the sound effects were fitting, and the voice acting was clear and easy to hear, something rare for a game made in such sort time!

The idea isn't fully original, but is made in such a way that it can't be called "unoriginal".

It combines object finding, maze and power management, but you can eliminate the maze feel with the use of the phone, that you need to manage, in order to achive the main goal. Mixing those aspects that much can't exactly be called original, but it can't be confused with another game. Well though!

Overall, the game seems nice, the gameplay is solid, it gives you the right feel for a horror-type game, and is well made! I can call this game completed, and not a prototype of some kind! Well done!

The Liberation of Liberatia by Somnium 2017-08-21T17:31:02Z

Great game! The graphics look nice, the music is amazing, the story is great, and the actions deserve good thinking before you can take action! A great strategy game overall!

I would suggest for a post-game, to add actual missions, like a minigame, that you have to complete! The randomness factor would determine the minigames difficulty, and the randomness factor will be your actuall skill over the game!

Overall, a great game that deserves more votes! Well done!

LudumsWitch by Tommy 2017-08-06T14:52:04Z

Nice idea, but it could really use some more power ups, and an actuall winning end.

The graphics were awsome, the music was more than good, and the idea was great!

You should remove the infinite world generation, and just teleport the player on the opposite side of the map instead. Also, more enemies would be nice, if they would do less damage to the shield.

Also, if the witch takes enough damage, she just insta kills you. Is this intentional? If not, it's still funny!

I was expecting something better by a game made by 5 people, but good work nonetheless!

A Thirst For Power by bobsleigh 2017-08-01T05:17:58Z

I like it! Nice graphics, great story, lots of small details, like the paintings in the walls not being all the same, and your sprite changing as your health goes down!

This is a very well made game!

Hello E-Lia by edomiyamoto 2017-08-07T15:14:31Z

The controls feel wierd, like slipery...

The music was incredible, the fact that there was a whole story made, and a lot of details, like the glass actually having a glass-like effect was amazing!

I liked the voice acting, but it was kinda hard to understand, and at the start the text disapears before the speach is over.

I liked that there was a battle system, even though I don't see the reason of using your hands to do anything, since there doesn't seem to be a penalty for using energy consuming methods. I guess they were there just to fill in the space!

The mouse flickered a lot, but other than that, I had no problems playing!

I didn't understand the story, but it was a good game nonetheless, espacially since it was made in just 48 hours! Well Done!

I/2idium by vados 2017-08-15T21:02:35Z

Nice game! The idea seems intersting, and the gameplay feels solid! Well done!

Buddies Bad Day by elit3dgaming 2017-08-20T14:27:17Z

The graphics fit to the simplicity of the game. It's a smiple path-finder-game in my opinion. The sound effects were great, and the puzzles were nice. Not too difficult, but not too hard. A nice balance I have to say!

Overall, I liked it! Well done!

Mothership by Almax 2017-08-21T22:11:11Z

Great game! The graphics seem nice, the music is great, the gameplay is solid, and the overall idea is nice!

I have no negatives to point out! Great work!

Keep your sanity by Lorthal 2017-08-02T13:52:27Z

Awsome game! The characters were well made, the puzzles were nice, you were rewarded for smashing those cabinets, the backstory was nice (even though she would have to murder someone in order to have lost such amount of sanity, in the extend of feeling pain by it!), and there was a lot of detail went to it too! (Like when you picked up the key in the room full of pianos, they made a circle around you!)

The sounds also fitted the game, enemies can only spawn in the dark by what I realized (which is cool!), and the "game over" scene was well made! (but you can still fire at them and the moving animation keeps playing. You can't kill them, but it would be nice to not be able to shoot them either)

Also the ending fading white is wrongly positioned. The far right corner of it is at the middle of the screen, so only a quarter is turned white. And you can keep the red key after you die. Probably the other ones too, but I didn't check...

Overall, this is an awsome game! I just have bugs to report. In gameplay I found nothing wrong, and that is very hard to achive! Good job!

Out of Power by Piotrek 2017-08-21T22:52:27Z

Nice game! The art seems nice, the "static kind-of music" getting louder with lower battery was a nice detail (and the blinding at the end), the controls are way too unpredictable, but overall a great game!

Battery boy is running out of juice ! by Batheo3000 2017-08-03T22:06:46Z

Nice game! The artwork is nice, but could use a little bit more on the background. The levels are nice, making you think outside the box, and the sprite change is a nice way of telling how much your battery has left!

Overall, good work!

Clone Colony by tmpxyz 2017-08-06T05:36:26Z

I tried downloading the game and extracting it, but the file is not working. I can't extract it, and I've tried both the post ld, and the normal one, both seem to be corrupted.

Here is some of the error log if it helps you (The whole thing didn't fit). Don't know if it does...

Clone Colony by tmpxyz 2017-08-06T13:37:27Z

Very nice game! The graphics look nice, the gameplay is solid, there is a lot of containt in this game, lots of different options, and the strategy involved is great!

Really liked it! Well done!

Ministry of Synthesis by impbox 2017-08-16T22:31:57Z

I liked it! The idea seems fun, the puzzles are nice and the whole game feels completed! The graphics look great, the music is nice, and the sound effects are good too! Just a little bit sharp on the sharp waves but that is to be expected I guess!

Overall, awesome game! I have no idea how you managed to make it just 3MB, so that is an achivement all on its own! Well done!

How I Met Your Great Great Grandmother by PeachTreeOath 2017-08-15T18:01:32Z

The game seems nice! It is original in multiple aspects, and the puzzles were nice too! The music was great, the graphics could use a little bit more work, but other than that I have no negative feedback to give! Well done!

We Made A Game While Camping by loadsofmana 2017-08-01T05:50:55Z

Really like it! Lot's of detail, like generators making sound if you're close to them! Like the side quests, like the beer one and the wind generator (Even though I can't find the 4th piece..., also what is the axe and that fishing rod used for?)

Great idea, great challenge, more than great game!

Edit: Found the 4th piece. You need to use the fishing rod on the lake... Don't know why I didn't try that. Also found where the axe is useful. On the top right there is a solar generator and you need the axe to get to it

We Made A Game While Camping by loadsofmana 2017-08-02T05:19:54Z

Hey! I found the best way to win! Okay, you need to grab the axe, combine it with the fishing rod, and forget all that that I just said and press 3.

I think you forgot to remove the debug play buttons, and when you press 3 all the battery meters go to 100%, and you can press it as many times as you like!

Edit: Pressing 4 will fill the progress bar of all characters. The quick way for a "Game Won" scene, and pressing 5 will close the game. It's the quick way to a "Game Over" scene

Dance On The Wire by foodzilla 2017-08-08T08:48:06Z

I like the idea of it! Wan't able to complete it though because I'm not good at rythm games, but I can see where you were going with it!

The music was great, both in terms of hearing **and** in terms of being the main game mechanic!

It's a well made game! Sorry I wasn't able to complete it! Well done!

Tip: I would suggest playing and rating other games to get more attention. When you rate, your game shows further up on the game page. When you leave feedback, creators will see your game in return. It would be good to do both of these in order to make your game more visible to the wider audience.

Nex Machinan by MestreRothLD 2017-08-05T07:53:40Z

Awesome game! The idea seems unique and fun, and the execution was done perfectly! The animation when the enemies spawn in is great, there is a variety of enemies and even different levels with obstacles!

I would only add difficulty buttons. Easy so the enemy die quicker and the range for picking up the energy is larger. Normal, that would be exactly like the current version, and hard, that would take longer to kill the enemy, but the energy that you recieve is better, so it wouldn't become impossible.

I don't have any negative feedback to give. This is a great game with a great idea, and you managed to make it perfectly! Well done!

BRAINZ ARE POWER by iovorobiev 2017-08-06T14:26:14Z

I liked it! But if you are below 3 brains there's nothing you can do to keep going, so you lose nomatter what!

The idea of using people both as more zombies **and** as the actuall power source is great!

I like the graphics, the sound effects and music were good too, and the idea is awesome! Well done!

Extend that cord! by Zirrrus 2017-08-07T10:49:46Z

Nice game! It gets almost addictive, and some of the levels are either too hard or too close, making each little turning mistake cose the entire level. Also, the turning controls were kinda frustrating!

Overall, I like the idea. I think the controls make it a little too hard for my taste, and some music would help a lot, even if it's not made by you. Since you're on a jam entry, some music from others, or even free to use music from websites is allowed, and would make your game a lot better!

Tunnel Bad Trip by bellatrion 2017-08-15T18:46:45Z

The art style could be improved, the game should have some backstory, the controls would be really helpful, a main menu could provide that if added, and the whole game needs massive improvements before it can be played. Using english would also make your game more accessable to the public, further improving your game.

It was a nice try, but I can't call this game completed. Better luck next time!

Low-Speed Internet Space Robot Adventure by Toulou 2017-08-01T09:43:05Z

I like it! Just the controls are kinda unforgiving.

On what engine did you make it? It reminds me of a .bat file, like those old games where you could only display graphics with text!

For just 4 hours, I'd say this is great! You managed to create the controls, story, random spawning of objects, object interaction and a whole game withing the game, all that just with text graphics! That is a lot for just 4 hours of work! Congrats!

Corrupted by Shess 2017-08-15T19:10:41Z

Nice game! the graphics were nice, I really liked the story, the tutorial was super helpful and easy to understand, the gameplay looked solid and there is defintly some strategy involved!

Music and sound effects would really improve the quality of the game, even if it's not yours. Since you're on a jam, you can use music others have made. I suggest royalty free music, and incompetch.com has you covered in a lot of varieties! If the game would save after each battle it would be very helpfull.

Overall, I really enjoyed playing! Well done!

Eclipse by SaraMartins 2017-08-15T19:31:36Z

Very nice game! The graphics look amazing! There isn't any story though, and I don't see a lot of variation between the levels.

I don't see the power mechanic within this game, but my game doesn't include that either so I can't criticize that a lot.

The music was nice and fitting!

Overall, I enjoyed it, but I can't say that it is complete. Changing some of the levels more would improve the game, and adding a small story behind it would make your game even better! Well done, and better luck next time!

Cave of no Return by JasperDev 2017-08-07T15:49:13Z

That was an awsome game! The character kinda reminds me of Link...

The graphics were great, the music was awsome, and the main mechanic was suprizing and great! I really liked it!

The gameplay felt solid, the transitions felt great and it's a great game in general!

I can't find any problems to mention, so I'll just leave it to the chicken overlord! Well made!

Wires and Robots by MiltonNH25 2017-08-02T02:46:42Z

I found my self over-thinking the 3rd level, thinking that I had to make some sort of loop or something! (I even managed to die by getting crushed into a wall!)

Really cool game, very well polished, the puzzles are nice and the music is fun too!

Power City by TheWGBbroz 2017-08-02T07:39:36Z

I like it! The gameplay was nice, the amount playing it is a lot more than what I expected, and it's easy to play!

I think that some music would improve it, and maybe add more space. This is my world, and as you can see, I run out of space quicker than I run out of power! Screenshot_222.png Also, more factories don't seem to make more money. Is that a bug?

Candy Wars by Jason200101 2017-08-01T12:51:38Z

ToadieTechnika

Okay, let's take this one by one

1) I'm using Game maker 8.

2) I could have changed the settings for F4 and F1 but I forgot.

3) I never fill the information section because nobody is supossed to see it in my games, and it never comes useful for me

4) The graphics can't be the same for all. I can't give the eyes of General Donut to a candy corn without resizing it, and it's much easier doing this in-code, therefore, inconsistentsy

5) Once you press the run button the player will move to the next section really fast. If the light on the player gets red during his movement, he will fail. You need to move right after the red light turns off.

6) The story being random is how I made this game, and is a key factor to the humor it makes. When you say "Ok", and accept it, even though it is super random, that is the goal I was aiming for when it comes to humor. 7) If you get stuck to a part and just feel like cheating your way further, and skipping the mini games, change the "ending" variable to 1,2 or 3. Then add the object "ending_scene" to the room. This isn't a valid way of getting there, so expect some bugs.

Hope this helps! I'll remove the F1 and F4 button options! Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Candy Wars by Jason200101 2017-08-02T09:22:01Z

Every path changing option takes a full day to add. There will be three options, each one with an additional path on its own, that take you to a scene that ties those three paths together. For that tie up scene to do that, it needs the correct dialoge, so the story makes sense, and that dialoge depends on the path you chose.

So, 3 options, 3 scenes plus the tie up scene that is 3 scenes with the same background. That is 6 scenes for just one interaction, and a single scene takes almost 4 hours to add, polish and animate.

That is the reason there aren't a lot of interactions with the story. I tried to make up by adding to the dialoge more funny parts, and I think it balances it out! Especially with the ghost busters one (tell the truth first interaction) and the 4th wall breaks as well! (Also, for the final path changing interaction I had to make a mini game for each one of those paths! That took a lot of time on its own!)

Oh, and I can't give more cherries. All 20 crates are... I SEE A CHERRY!

Candy Wars by Jason200101 2017-08-03T02:06:42Z

@bobsleigh Thank you!

I'll try to fix the controls/credits buttons (They are the ones causing problems) and also post the controls online as you suggested.

I tried to make it fade away after the song ended but it didn't work, so I'll have to fix that bug now and post a new version of it.

If you find any other bugs/glitches, such as characters staying in the screen while they're clearly not supposed to, send me the error log (if it's a bug with the code), or a screen shot at the scene with the glitch. I'll try and fix them as soon as possible!

Candy Wars by Jason200101 2017-08-03T21:36:11Z

@batheo3000 @Toone

The fact that you didn't finish the game is a major factor to what you want!

I made it possible to skip the text, but I don't want someone new to just fly through it, so if you complete the game at least once, you are then able to skip the text and progress quicker!

I can't add more interactions because they take almost a day to add! Just think of all the scenes that need making just by one interaction, and all the dialoge changes on a single scene! Half the scenes are probably unseen by the most, since you only take one path!

I may make it possible to use the mouse almost exclusivly, but for now, it's still Z and mouse!

Thanks for your feedback!

Candy Wars by Jason200101 2017-08-09T20:57:21Z

@huvaakoodia

Thank you! I'll consider that for future story type games, but also for an update on this game. Planning to finishing it, and all the funtions that would make the game more enjoyable are always welcome! When there are no other negatives to be found by anyone, and that includes me, I'll consider the game finished and leave it for a new one, so this comment and every other mentioning possible fixes are massivly appreciated!

Candy Wars by Jason200101 2017-08-21T23:19:36Z

@Somnium

Thanks for the feedback!

The mini-game isn't bugged. I tested it almost 10 times with each change, and it worked perfectly every time. I think I just didn't clarify enough the minigames, and is why everyone is so confused with them.

So, Officer Pops minigame: It's automatic and your choice doesn't matter. Deal with it.

Officer Lollipops minigame: There are 6 sections, and you are the disc with the flashing green-red light. If the light turns red and you're still moving to the next section, you fail. As you progress further to the next sections, the red light will turn on more frequently. You just have to time your presses with the run button.

Officer Donuts minigame: The top-left side is (1,1), the top-right corner is (1,6), and the bottom left corner is (1,4), making the bottom right corner (6,4).

You have to hit the yellow buttons in order for it to count as being pressed. For technical information, the first target gives you 4 seconds to be clicked. The second one gives you three, and the last one gives you two.

With each replay, you recreate that timeline, meaning that the targets are in the exact same positions. That may come in handy, as you can have your mouse on the spot before hand, making it unfair for the enemy!

Hope this helps and clears the confusion

No Sorcerer's Sky by TheFlyingKeyboard 2017-08-07T18:07:01Z

I really enjoyed playing it! The graphics are nice, the music is great, and it's a nice relaxing game! Only the beggining can be a little touch if you don't know what you're doing!

The only problem I have to mention, is that the gui in some cases is over the edge. I can't see what I'm making with the upgraded crafter, and I can't see the buy button on the second tier of that building! (Also the crafter has some recipies broken. The coal for diamond one seems a little glitchy, and the last one doesn't give you anything from what my tests have showed)

Also, after you make all the buildings and upgrade them all, the game basically ends, since there isn't anything else to do. Enemies can't hurt you, thanks to the shields, you've got power over the roof (I think I had something like 500%!), the greenhouse is kinda useless, since time doesn't move in-building, and you have to stay there the whole time, the crafter has some broken recipies, and it isn't clear from where you get crystals. You just seem to get them after some time. Maybe the mines? I don't know. They got destroyed anyway (I think...)

Overall, I enjoyed the game, even though I just mentioned all these problems. I really did enjoy the game, the music was great, and all those problems I just mentioned are just minor details I would like to see fixed. Nothing else. They're not game-breaking problems. They would just add to the overall image! Don't take this comment as a negative. It isn't, at least not from my prespective, and I just want to say, Well made!

Edit: Oh, yea. I also forgot. The crystal exchange for power at the solar panel doesn't seem to work!

Lucido by Gabet Games 2017-08-06T05:18:11Z

The game is nice, it's kind enough so it won't kill us if the light grows dim, the graphics are nice and the controls are okay too!

The level restarting by just leaving the room is kinda annoying though. if you jump out the room from the top you restart, and that can be a problem with some levels.

I suggest if the player walks of the sides of the room, to just push him back and not have to do the whole level again. If he jumps out the room from the top, do nothing. Only restart the room if he falls out of the room, where it's immpossible to keep playing.

Overall, I really liked this game! The idea was nice, the levels weren't too hard and the graphics are good as well! Good job!

Power Defense! by Rushar 2017-08-04T09:26:08Z

The idea is nice, but you lack a main menu.

The controls were easy to learn, but my hand got tired very quickly since I'm right handed. Maybe you could make it possible to press other keys as well, like J and L.

Also, you can't sustain the power that you're making, so if a hord comes up and your guns take all your power, you can't keep firing, so they become useless. Maybe some way to store some energy so they can fire for longer periods of time?

The upgrades were hard to buy as well. Each time I bought something I triped, so if you could conect a key to that it would become easier?

The idea is nice though, just some mechanics need a little more work to make playing the game a better experience!

Temple of Illumination by Johngun 2017-08-15T17:17:40Z

Very nice game! The music was nice, the art was good, the theme was ok, and all the details that went into it were awesome! (Like the light from the portal leaving a shadow behind you, and getting dimmer when the timer runs out!)

I really liked it, but I couldn't really see the whole screen at once, so I just didn't see the timer at the top. A downloadable version would be nice! Other than that, no negatives! Well done!

NOT ALONE by Xephrys 2017-08-06T13:44:55Z

I really liked it! The graphics look awesome! The story needs a little bit more work, and at the end of the game some of the text is covered by darkness. It is a little short, but the art is so good, I can see why it would take so long!

Overall, I really liked it! Well done!

Hominem Ex Machina by pushxtonotdie 2017-08-01T03:44:59Z

I like it! Lots of combinations, in-depth actions, the game just feels nice!

For just a team of two, this is great!

Fear Of The Dark by ArttuK 2017-08-16T22:50:39Z

Great game! The graphics look amazing, the sounds (both music and sound effects) are great, the idea seems nice and the game looks completed as well!

No negative feedback to give. Overall this is a great game that I can call completed! Well done!

Ultimate Fusion by Thirrash 2017-08-03T11:57:53Z

Just for 15 hours, this is great! The music was nice, the goal was clear, you have set up 4 core mechanics to use and a whole identification system in place!

I had fun playing it! Good job!

Sunseeker by Surovyi 2017-08-20T14:34:44Z

The music is amazing, the graphics look awesome, the story is rich and the font shows that greatly! The gameplay seems solid, the barrier actually breaking is flawless, and the overall ojectives are simple to follow in order to have time to defend!

Overall, amazing work! Well done!

Sparkman Adventures by Lamm 2017-08-20T14:22:47Z

Nice game! The art style looks amazing, the music is both fitting and great in quality, the controls are simple but challenging (a great balance in my opinion), and the overall mechanic seems simple.

Overall, I liked it! Well done!

The Last Question by xaedes 2017-08-21T22:38:08Z

I've seen similar games. I haven't done any research, but I'm quessing there is an engine that allows you to creare such stories, and maybe pre-made art. If you're going to make a story type game, I suggest actually programming all of the interactions, and not just writing the script on a programm made specifically to save time.

Based on other comments I saw, the story wasn't even yours. I'm demotivated to read all of it. Nice idea, but you lack originality and programming. I can't call this an actual game, and it defintly doesn't meet the level that the jam requieres. Better luck next time.

Pathfinder by Invixel 2017-08-04T09:16:34Z

I liked it! The puzzles were nice, there was a twist in every level, and you can plan your moves from the beggining, giving it extra strategy points!

The music is fitting, the art is well made and the puzzles are well balanced!

You only lack the main menu. Other than that, it's great! Well done!

The Fall by Badosz 2017-08-02T01:15:23Z

I don't even see the link! There is a blank line in its place!

Edit: Okay, I found it. I'm guessing you changed it since its structure is now different!

The Fall by Badosz 2017-08-02T03:28:39Z

Nice game! Like the idea, but after a point it gets very repetitive. The music was awsome (but I'm guessing not yours since you opt out for it. Not criticizing, I did the same)

Don't get the +1 gold. It needs 150 gold to just get 1, while you could spend 50 gold and make a new world full of coins!

Also, the spawning needs a little bit of work. I spawned in on top of a bomb or something and instantly died! Also, sometimes you can get the +1 speed just by spawning in. After you stop moving it resets to 0 though. And, lastly, if you buy 10 shields you'll only have 1, which breaks on impact, but you still pay 200 gold!

(In other words, the shop and spawning needs work)

Banic by Hugimugi7 2017-08-06T12:59:51Z

The graphics are nice, and the level seems fair too! The controls were easy to understand, but it didn't say that you need to press space to transfair power to the battery.

Music would really benefit this game, and the hitbox wasn't clear enough.

I see that you didn't rate and comment any other game. In order to have people notice your game, you need to leave feedback on their games, as a way for them to do the same to your game, and rate their games, so the website can recomend your game.

Better luck next time!

Fading Points by SMILEY_4_ 2017-08-15T20:42:11Z

I've got no idea how to start the game, and I can't find any executable files anywhere. Just game information. Can we have a playable version that doesn't require downloading the source code, becuase I'm really confused on what's going on here!

AI; ace intelligence by baconsenpaii 2017-08-03T13:02:32Z

A very well made game! The cards were nice, the abilities easy to understand and learn, there was a custom game option which I really liked, and even a turn log recording all of the cards played!

On the curtom option you can set the number of humans to a very high number, making the game impossible. Maybe you could make it so the deck size is relative to the number of turns estimated, just to make it possible.

Other than that, I can't find anything wrong. This is a very good game, very well polished and very well made. Good job!

Rats will kiss the gunner's daughter by Mr.Houdini 2017-08-15T17:42:30Z

Very nice game! The graphics were nice, the music was great, the story was well thought and the fact that it is always random, with random characters and names, and a different mutineer each time gives this game a ton of replay value!

I don't have any negative feedback! This game looks solid! Well done!

daemon by bombjack 2017-08-15T17:49:05Z

Nice game! The graphics look awesome, the music is good, but it lacks some of the basics of any game, like a main menu explaining the controls and an exit button for a quick end of the game. Some story would also improve the game a lot, and the screen fading out and then fading in again when you die instead of a sharp teleport would also be good, and to be able to see your lives all the time, so you know which jumps are possible with the amount of health you've got!

Overall, I enjoyed it. It just needs some more improvements!

Lost in Translation at Space by elmismopancho 2017-08-16T18:34:34Z

The idea seems nice at first, but I'm on vacation, and I don't have a microphone with me. Also, the background noice would probably mix the commands anyway...

I can't give a fair rating as I can't fully play it, but the graphics that I saw at the beggining seem nice, so extra points there, I guess...

Greenhouse Dystopia by DeadlyAlive 2017-08-16T22:56:34Z

Great game! The graphics look nice, the music is great, the idea is also great and the game feels both solid and completed! No negative feedback to give! Well done!

Think before you jump by Delalandii 2017-08-06T14:16:49Z

The idea is nice, the level difficulty curve need some work though. The story is nice, and you should keep developing this game! More levels and an actual end would be nice!

Overall, I enjoyed playing! Well done!

< Mr. Plug > by Drachmor 2017-08-18T17:56:55Z

The graphics look nice, the puzzles were fair and kept the balancing curve, the hunney was floating and overall it was an enjoyable experience!

The story was well written, and the ending was suprizing!

The audio is the only negative feedback that I have to give. Even some sound effects could easily be generated, but not even those were implemented. I suggest bfxr for sound effects, and BoscaCeoil if you decide you want to add background music as well. I won't judge if you don't make background music (I'm no composer either), but some sound effects can be generated within seconds.

Overall, a very enjoyable game, with rich story and fair puzzles! For a game made by one person within 48 hours, this is above acceptable! Well done!

Trap in the dark by azziliz 2017-08-15T19:40:53Z

I liked it! The graphics look nice, and the tutorial was easy to understand!

Some actual levels would be nice though. Being randomly generated makes it kinda repetitive, and it throws the difficulty curve right out the window. Some more puzzles that are actually made and not randomly generated would be nice, and some music would also improve the quality of the game, and the same if you added some backstory into the mix!

The game still needs some improvements, but it is a solid start! Well made!

Light Switch Crusader by TedScottPilgrim 2017-08-07T21:17:58Z

Very nice game! I enjoyed playing it, even though there is only one level, it's still very fun!

The music was nice, the graphics were good, the sound detection needs some improvements and balancing, but overall it's a well made game! Well done!

THE STORY ABOUT THE ROBOT THAT WAS ON LEVEL 1 WHEN SOMETHING HAPPENED by Mesuko 2017-08-02T06:12:36Z

I was suprized with the voice acting on the start! The jumping mechanic needs some work. Some of the jumps need to be almost perfect to land, and the robots hitbox isn't clear.

Overall, I liked it! It was great, great idea, and an intersting concept to say the least!

Runnerbot LD39Entry by Pixel Game Wizard 2017-08-03T10:35:12Z

Nice game! I found myself playing for a long time! The controls are nice, there is a variety of enemies, the game isn't inforgiving, and you can recharge your battery if it gets too low, giving you a second chance!

I'm guessing you have an endless generating world too!

Overall, I liked it! Nice concept!

Torch Boy by FloBar 2017-08-20T14:17:27Z

Nice game! The graphics look nice, the main mechanic is usefull and stratigic, the fact you can rapid fire as long as you're charged is great, and you can avoid lots of fails using the time-slow mechanic when you're recharging!

The sound effects are good, and the only negative that I have to say is the lack of content. More than one level would be nice, and would improve the quality of your game, making it look more completed, and not just a prototype.

Overall, I enjoyed it! Well done!

Deep Space Nine Volts by Boxfort 2017-08-02T02:23:33Z

I liked it! It got a little repetitive towards the mid-point though. Maybe if your ship takes enough damage, the systems won't be able to do their job 100% efficiently, draining batteries quicker. That would also give an extra reason to keep that system up, changing the priorities!

Character Building by Badly Drawn Rod 2017-08-16T18:29:42Z

Very nice game! I got all the endings and had great fun doing so! The music is nice, but the font used could be a little more clear, as I often mixed M with other letters...

Overall, I had a great time playing! This is a very well made cat I mean game! Yea, game... Well done!

Industria by rb2750 2017-08-16T22:41:51Z

The graphics look nice, but there is no music and no in-game tutorial. You're just thrown right into the action with the power bar going down and no idea what to do.

Maybe there should be a grace period, so you can make everything you need without the rush of "What do I do now"*100

Overall, good game that needs more guidence, more content (I think you only have 4 buildings so far with one being WIP), and some music so the players don't rage quit too quickly. Right now this game doesn't have a lot of play time, and adding all the above would increse that by almost 10 times, or even more!

It's a good idea, but it needs more work before I can call it completed. Better luck next time.

Fleeting powers by Stracker 2017-08-02T06:05:14Z

I like it! Nice Art, awsome powers! Just make the special enemies, the ones that give you power ups spawn more frequently! I found myself using that weak dagger attack almost constanly, and in a hord of enemies, you can't even reach the special dudes!

Power! by Martyxgames 2017-08-07T10:27:28Z

If you need more reviews, you should rate and comment on other games as well. I see that you've got 0 feedback from games that you've commented, and haven't rate almost no game.

Leaving feedback means that people can view your game in return, earning you some more views.

Rating other games can help put your game at the top, since there is a karma, or coolness variable that determins your position of the game, and that number incresses with each rate given.

Five Nights in Biah Village by Ye Yu 2017-08-02T05:56:41Z

The art was nice, and the music was cool as well! Gameplay felt solid, easy to learn and understand!

The ghost is always after you and you can only rely on it getting stuck on something to stop running.

You can't get the energy filled up, so it is very limited, since you've got to keep running in order to avoid the ghost.

It's not clear when you get the winning end, since the time doesn't go to 0 after 12 o'clock.

You could make the bed useful by making it possible to interact with it. When your laying down, time will move faster and the fire will burn out quicker, but you'll gain some energy up.

You should also make the AI for the ghost better, by using line of sight, and spawning it somewhere else other than the front of the house!

Also, after your first death (ending), you could also make it possible to skip the initial dialoge scene! I know you can just spam z all the time, but why not make it automatic?!

ANSWER ME! by Viliar 2017-08-07T21:04:06Z

I liked it a lot! The idea is nice, and you made it very well! The music is great, the game mechanic is well made, and there are a lot of different outcomes that can happen just by typing different things! I really liked it!

The only thing that I would like changing, is at the end. You don't have enough time to properly read all of the text that one person sends, so you just start typing! I don't suggest giving more time, but instead, at the end of the game, make it possible to see the text dialoge that you send with each person, and maybe add a scoreboard system? Even a local one that just remembers my previous score would be nice!

Overall, Very nice game, the story is rich, the music is great, and the game is fun **and** rewarding as well! Well done!

Winter has come by GistNoesis 2017-08-21T22:48:20Z

Nice game! The idea seems nice, but it lacks some basic stuff for games, like music. I can't really say anything about the graphics since you only used text, but the strategy involved makes up for it!

Overall, it's a great strategy game, and I'm guessing you didn't have a lot of time to create it. Good job!

3eV by Naarakah 2017-08-06T13:54:35Z

Great game! The puzzles were nice, the story behind it was cool, the difficulty curve was fair, and I enjoyed playing it!

You should continue making it, making more levels! It's an awsome idea that just needs some more containt!

Blood Blender by seanwiles0 2017-08-02T06:19:10Z

No music, no menu, no story. The controls are a little wierd, and you can't pick up poeple that easily.

Add some sound, allow the picking to be done using the space bar, a small menu would be nice and create a smiple story behind it!

The details are a big part of a game coming to light. As your light meter goes down, the light around you should be getting smaller as well.

It was an intersting idea for power to use people, intersing to say the least. Just add some of the things mentioned above and it will improve a lot more!

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Looper's Arena by Jason200101 2020-10-10T04:25:50Z

@le-don I've already added that fail safe actually because it was driving me nuts while play testing. For you to select an upgrade you need to both click AND release the left mouse button on it, otherwise it does nothing. So accidentally selecting an upgrade after a wave clear is impossible. Now for the tutorial part, yea, it needs WAY more work. But this was just intended to be a small jam for me, where I don't give it my all. Just make a game and relax. I even took a day off. It could improve, but I just didn't bother. I'll try to put some more work on the tutorial section next time!

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Stellarium Charting by Jason200101 2022-04-06T02:05:08Z

@perion I'll try to add that light up idea for future versions, thank you so much!

@zimny11 nope, no secret ending or anything. It's inevitable that you'll lose. Just a high score number if anything. as for the chart... it does nothing during the game. it's just a reset mechanism for after the nebula dies out. should probably have hidden that to not confuse people so much.

@fromage you're not the only one, this idea just isn't working for a game. I'll probably turn it into a constellation charting tool or something. The idea of a goal doesn't work in this instance...

@exevirus controls and such were not explained clearly sadly, and even after they were to some of my friends it still felt like that. I'll remove the gameplay aspect of it in future versions and just transform it into a drawing tool or something.

Thanks for trying it out everyone, even if the actual game part of it is nonexistent

I will say that the Evil Attribute is too powerful though. And the limitations don't do much when you can just edit them out. Still fun!

Don't Kill Your Darlings by scalliondelight 2022-04-05T23:21:16Z

incredible art, and beautiful storyline. This game just has it all, there's no feedback I could give for improvement. Good job!
