Loved the music - so soothing =), the minimalist graphics worked great, maybe consider making more interesting color schemes? other than that i really enjoyed it as an art piece =)

LOVED the radio
I loved the idea of sperm as "a small world", the animations were rickety but charming, but i did love the story!
Liked it apart from the steering being pretty difficult on a pc, for noobs like me at least =P
wow, this game is so minimalist, the only way of life is death. You have opened my eyes for what a true work of art is. I am whole.
I loved the amount of detail you managed to put into the game, parallaxes, rain, that the signs followed perspective. The twist in the middle/end/start(:P) really made the game interesting, all in all great game!
liked the game but only got 2 endings, it was definetely a nice take on the theme.
nice game! The game over could have been a bit flashier (i know, overkill, but would tie the game together more), maybe having different sprites for obstacles would give more of a change in scenery. I liked the different bars that you had to keep track of :)
I loved the graphics, they fit with the game, the idea was great. Must say it was shocking to see my guy keel over and die from lack of caffeine, i think if you'd made him spurt blood or something it would have been even funnier :D
Fun experience, more of a music simulation but still cheered me up for sure!
The music was so cheerful! maybe making the background blue instead of black would have fit more with the outdoorsy feel, but the growth mechanic was really fun.
such sudden ending, the birthday card and brofisting was nice touch, also just sayin there could have been much more fluff, at least some hugs. So nice playing a text based game where you NEVER have to type! (i am lazy)
It seemed like the bribing was kind of random, two creatures that looked alike seemed to have different demands, i agree about the mobile game idea though. Also kudos for the Bill!(probably were other refences i didn't catch but oh well)
I had so much fun with this game! All the alternating missions were cool (quelling that rebellion was very satisfying), not to mention how fun exploiting humans for power turned out to be, having won at lv 10 makes me feel like i truly did someting great today with my surprisingly dubious morals.
It was good for being so short, would have liked to have a quit button on the levelmax screen. Sound was AWESOME!
I love puzzle games so i gobbled this one right up, the idea of interrogation was super fun. Side note: The icon is amazing, seriously nice looking, as are the graphics in the game.
Cool concept, the sound effects were a bit too loud but i like how you had to time everything nicely.
I liked that the game was very easy to get into, the follow mouse function got pretty "slidy" at times were character did not follow mouse. Other than that it was an easy way to control(would fit great as a mobile game), the whole recharging and gathering food was fun! I know sound is pretty hard to make, but you could consider using a sound generator like BFXR for the next jam, make things a bit more interactive with sound effects and doesn't take much time ;)
Loved the graphics, seems like i suck at the game tho, never even made it past lv 1 X), would have been even better with some light background music, but i totally understand time issues. You made a very polished game which is great!
pretty fun game, would have been nice if the hitboxes of meteors behind the ship weren't active. I liked the backstory and graphics, i turned out to be lousy at playing the actual game though X)
OH GOD FAMILY I AM SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT. One life your spouse hates you for disageeing with you and the next they hate you for being sarcastic for agreeing. Truly loved this game, as hilarious as perpetually making people hate you can be.
I suck at minesweeper, but great first game!
It was kind of boring, but if you'd put something in the environment (obstacles, people, sidequests), or some way to fins more water and food it would make it more engaging, Still liked the aesthetics and progressbar at the top.
Loved the music and audio bits + the dark story, it got pretty annoying to be clicking constantly, but the story kinda just had you hooked. I did feel like the choices didn't matter, but even so it would have been fun to have some more choice scenes. Great mood!
I enjoyed the different controls for the game, the map was a good guideline and the only real downside was that the music got pretty annoying
@elodeon Thank you! I know the controls turned out unstable but I'm not sure which typos you're talking about, if you could elaborate then i know what to change in the future! =)
Nice game, for a noob like me it was naturally very hard making me ragequit. I enjoyed the controls and rules, and the mood was nicely creepy and orwellian, fit great with the theme :)
This was soooo addicting, seriously good game, gave total Papers, please vibes :) not to mention the graphics were very nice, great game!
I don't see how this fits into the theme, i liked the graphics and the relaxed mood, maybe have some more competition vibe between the pidgeons? Animations were great :)
liked the easy controls, the graphics and the level design, it's a very solid entry with a nice connection to the theme!
couldn't get past the stairway glitch despite several tries, i think it's still a good entry for being your very first game. A pretty easy improvement you could do would be to apply an effect that changes a clickable object while it's being hovered over, like making them slightly grey of something. Some games ofc don't want that but it would make things clearer. My favourite part was definetely the killing animations, they made things really interesting. "what am i gonna do with this sign hmm... oh no jeff i'm so (not) sorry!, muhhaha!"
Oooh absolutely loved the music! it really egged me on while i was desperately running from like 20 ants and 5 mushrooms, it would be cool if there were some kind of pickups such as health or speed as the difficulty was so high otherwhise
Wow i spent a super long time playing the game, it got sort of addicting. Final score was 7967 but could not for the life of me figure out how to breed dryland herbivores, perhaps those are just doomed to fail? Really fun and simple game with a lot of potential
@kessutinnu Haha yeah, don't have a destroy condition and compensated by toggling visibility for objects (should have crosschecked visibility against current inventory)
@reheated Thank you so much for the thorough review! Would have loved to have more sounds and more puzzles in the game but ended up not balancing time between art/programming properly, btw i agree that escape the room games have weird logic (e.g. the mouse does nothing but please the cat)
@ynneblack you are basically done after that, just need to light the log by the big fire and light the cauldron :) i've resized the itch.io embedded viewport (didn't even realise i could do that at first) to be browser friendly, thanks for bringing it up
like the idea of having shorter levels witch specific tasks to learn to continue and backtracking to find new things, but would have liked to have a better game over screen when failing (consider using sprites over the default buttons?). Impressed that you made it with construct 3 as i've heard there are still many bugs and such in that game engine.
Loved the graphics and animations! had some issues with the collisions and movement but it was still fun to bounce around in nature
Ahhh to find someone else who enjoys EYEZMAZE! really clever use of the theme and obviously super fun to try out different scenarios and enjoy FLAVOUR TEXT, great job!
Great game, i really enjoyed being a cat! usually don't enjoy surrealism but this game felt really nice and comforting to play, and spot on for a weird dream. The browser version worked fine for me btw.
Wow! Voice acting!! Enjoyed the unintentional humor of stepping out right in the middle of everyones' evil monologues, and casually stepping over dying people to keep looking around. Enjoyed the unsettling art, the interesting symbolism and the metaphors speaking to you. But oh gosh voice acting in a compo jam game though!
super fun lil game and great idea for theme! be sure to play & rate other peoples games so you get more feedback and ratings, as you can only find the game in the zero ratings section
Fun little game and relatable for starting a drawing on a blank piece of paper, i particularly loved the choice of font :)
I am overwhelmed by cats, am i a magician cursed with uncontrollable cat summoning powers? ah the answers elude me. Great lil clicker owing mostly to the WONDERFUL audio, meow and music alike.
Really liked the short flavour texts and the music. Was slightly confused over the attacking vs. defending but the easy meachanics were a plus, never got to the goal so can't comment on how balanced the game was. Thumbs up for the calming music combating the frustration of trying to navigate to the square !
Text game with varied font! Wibbly wobbly time stuff, yes please! Wanted to play much more of this aaand it fits great with the theme, Kudos!
wow! you made me realize i suck at both asteroids and minesweeper! :P
it was pretty satisfying to hit that bowling ball with a racing car not gonna lie, while it was short the base idea was pretty fun, make sure to play & rate some other games so you can get more ratings and feedback for your game though!
@desdemone @t8kk i'm probably the most bummed out that i couldn't fix up a proper ending to the game, which is a priority i'll definitely be applying to future jams :) the object stacking was both unfortunate and stupidly easy to fix in hindsight
Happy to hear it was entertaining though!
Wow! reminds me of Welcome to Night Vale :] and i won/escaped(??!!) on the first try while only getting one question right, but i totally owned the rock, paper and scissors so that tells me i could totally win actual game shows :) we should have more game shows like that IRL
I cannot believe you made this for the compo, -the art, the coding, the writing- they're all amazing. You're such an amazingly dedicated person to be able to make this, which is underlined by your time lapse (so inspiring *^*). In terms of constructive feedback i'd say that you could have maybe made your clashing of genres more proounced? it was a bit hard to catch the humor when i was so immersed in the psychological aspect of it (owing to the great writing). Awesome game!
Nice fourth wall break there, and i romanced the dude! *fist pump* Also please take better care of that graphic designer because the game totally said so. I liked the story part of it, so much that i would have loved to see another character just tripping in on the date and lore bombing in a very interrupty way (obviously i only played one ending so this might very well happen :]), Fun game!
i really enjoyed the art and the idea! the cute pets were a fun clash with "typical" tower defences. It does have the already commented bugs(for example the "bullets" for the goldfish don't disappear), but was still enjoyable, the thing i missed most was knowing the prices of the pets. A fun little game and i hope you learned a bunch, (usually LD is when i learn like 500+ times new things i can't apply anywhere :] )
Really liked making sandwiches, it was a surprising amount of fun. Would have loved to get a goal number to work towards though, but i understand your time issues (i myself had to sacrifice a bunsh of text to get my game mechanics working properly)
i don't know what happened but i do know i liked it, did accidentally eat all them mushrooms tho
liked the art and especially the colours! Gameplay wise it was a bit vague. You could for example add some sort of shooting animations so you know that you're shooting to make it more fun, very unique game with a good clash of genres
