Really nice gameplay with simple but good graphics. Good Job!

nickzangus 2017-08-02 10:30

nice idea, but once you lose you can't restart the game, the button doesn't work.

xsior 2017-08-02 10:33

Nice idea but it would benefit from a bit explanation for buildables. Also I feel (thou i may be just my own thing) that camera angle makes it harder to notice where exactly are atoms going. I think that full on top-down view would be better. Also the jump in speed between first and second atom is too much, maybe all heavier atoms should be a bit faster?

coauctor 2017-08-02 12:48

I didn't figure out what to do with the buildings but enjoyed the mood and audio. The game about stars, yay!

surovyi 2017-08-02 18:05

As it was said, you can't restart once you lose. Anyway interesting idea, basic graphics but it works

alex-tantum 2017-08-02 18:05

A cool simple idea, but it's not entirely clear what to do, I just put objects and got fun, fun game, I liked it.

condensate 2017-08-02 18:14

Pretty fun. Spent my time trying to get the heaviest elements possible, got to chromium before I lost. Camera angle is a bit of a problem though, makes it hard to keep track of everything that's going on.

Nice mood and music. I'm not very good at this type of game but it's enjoyable. Great job to do it in 15h!

wisstopher 2017-08-02 19:42

Great work for doing it in 15 hours!

jason200101 2017-08-03 11:57

Just for 15 hours, this is great! The music was nice, the goal was clear, you have set up 4 core mechanics to use and a whole identification system in place!

I had fun playing it! Good job!

I think you should have made the little constuction icons in the bottom left cllickable to select what you want to build. I kept trying to click them to select what I wanted to build.

gistnoesis 2017-08-03 16:17

I didn't figure out how to use the building to have a noticeable effect and building keeps disappearing. Probably you need to confine them to produce fusion but as I have set number of atoms to the max, I already had plenty of fusion happening. Nice audio and animations. Not very fun to play but audio make it pleasant to watch.

mcjammydodger 2017-08-03 16:32

The game is simple and the objective is clear. It fits the theme well. I liked the music as well.

The buildings didn't seem useful though, since they disappeared far too quickly after placing them. I kept finding myself clicking on the buildable icons in the bottom left instead of using the numbers. It would have been nice if they were buttons. The buttons in the menu at the end don't work, which means one has to sit through the loading screen each time one loses.

The idea is good, but the game could use some work to make it more fun.

Good entry though!

pixzleone 2017-08-03 17:59

Even though the gameplay is simple, the concept is interesting! I think the gameplay could be a little more directed, because right now it all feels very random. Even though they have different pairs and such, focusing on single matches seemed ineffective. I ended up using the green boosters to spin all the atoms around the edge of the area, making them collide a lot and pull new atoms with them. I had fun just watching my atoms grow though! Music gets a little bit repetitive after a while, but it's not too bad. I like that there is music!

With some work, this could be really good! Well done! :D

joskineide 2017-08-03 18:18

Very interesting pitch, I felt I had 0 control over most things and I think more ways to control the movement of the balls would realy help.

rootpew 2017-08-03 18:50

Very unique concept - but definitely aiming for an amount of complexity that would likely benefit from a longer development period than the Jam allows for :)

Definitely a very novel idea, and an excellent use of the theme. Great entry :)

There is a few rare things you can do with this game... I liked it! BTW I have found a little bug :) ld39fusion300px.gif

I enjoyed your game and thought that the idea of making a game out of nuclear fusion was very creative. However, I wish that the buildings were explained in the instructions.

sokette 2017-08-03 20:33

I have no idea what I'm doing but things are moving everywhere, and I can learn about which atom likes to fuse with which other atom :D

eshudra 2017-08-03 21:15

Nice sandbox! I feel myself meditative...

zdeno 2017-08-04 19:05

Hello guys, I must say that your take on the theme is excellent! Gameplay was really innovative and you should continue building on this!

I think that the way you used camera is in this case just overcomplicating the game. Your idea is very good and in my opinion it would benefit the most from simple static camera above the area(controlling the atoms is already difficult enough on itself :grinning:)

Also maybe I found little bug..on HTML5 version buttons on the ending menu didn't work form me :slight_frown:

But overall this is a great game..and for only 15 hours? Super amazing game!

Thank you for sharing it with us!

For a big chuck of me playing I thought the stuff on 1 and 2 were actually deactivated and needed some condition to be used due to the color on these. It was also a bit wonky that there were no click-drag indicator. Otherwise I found the idea really cool and the while I didn't really get what my interactions were doing or not doing, the game does stand out quite a lot from the other games I've played. And sciency games are always a plus. So good work!

ledez 2017-08-04 20:43

Nice game. I love everything that has to be with science. I found a bug the score still running after the "No energy left" message. Also the Web version on the same message -- Restart and Main Menu button does not work.

somnium 2017-08-05 06:40

Interesting concept!

It was a bit hard to keep track of the current atoms, but the tools were efficient once I got used to them. I kept clicking on the images for the tools, instead of using the number keys.

I think that the barriers lasted for a bit too short a time. The speed tools felt just right. As has been mentioned, the restart-button did not work.

The view angle made it a bit hard to keep track of the atoms, but otherwise both the art and music worked well, and enhanced the mood.

>Juggling the atoms, >the fusion must continue! >The star lost its light.

zenmumbler 2017-08-07 21:22

I didn't really know what to do or if anything I did had any effect, but seeing that gif of a whole bunch of massive atoms circling around I was doing it wrong, clearly. Good thing getting a whole sim out there in 1/2 a day.
