The controls could get some tuning, it is very hard to control this game.

I liked how you implemented the theme, not killing player by running out of power but just make it harder for him.

Graphics and music great too, goes nicely together :)

A pretty good result for the time. You should focus more on getting the controls on point for a 2D platformer, however I know how hard it can be and for the time you did really good actually. I like the whole style of the game and the music was only getting slightly annoying after a while. All in all very good job. I hope you keep working on it.

Pretty well developed platformer, reminds me kind of of Super Meat Boi. I like how player is forced to act quickly, as at the beginning you have way more vision, yet even if you 'ran out of power' you can still complete the level. Platforming was fun though it required some getting used to time at the beginning. One thing though, it seems that when you hit top border of the screen you lose, not sure it that was intentional. Graphics are neat and background music fits them. In overall pretty solid platformer.

The idea is cool and graphics are nice. however, the controls come off as very awkward. I think i would like it more if I could control the character, but nevertheless good job.

I like the art of the game and also like the sounds. However, I think the controls are horrible and main problem spoiling this greatly crafted game. Overall, this game is great but needs more tuning.

Very nice! The idea of the light shrinking over time is cool and well implemented, the graphics are nice and fitting, and the music is also quite fitting! Only thing I would change is making the levels a bit more challenging, and maybe adding some more mechanics!

Keep up the good work! :)

Amazing game. I loved almost everything in this game. A special mention goes to the sound effect (mainly the end level sound) and the music.

The core game idea and mechanic is unique, and never played similar one before. Also the controllers was almost okay. Sometimes the wall jump was driving me crazy, but eventually i knew how to handle it, but still it was not consistent with all other wall jump controllers out there.

Good job, and good luck.

This is great. Just great. The graphics are P-H-E-N-O-M-E-N-A-L, the sound is fantastic, and the idea is brilliant. Very original use of the "running out of power" theme. The only thing that's bugging me here is the wall jumping. It stopped me more than helped me, and it just doesn't work that well. But overall, this is just an awesome little platformer, and the idea of your visibility slowly decreasing is just great.

The graphics and sound design is great, platforming is good enough too. The biggest issue would be the conrols, I think, they are very important for a platformer and I found myself frequently sticked to walls when I didn't want to. Also if you try to move midjump you would suddenly stop, which is not very intuitive. Overall a rather good entry, you did a great job!

Very good and well done executed! I have just a little problem with the wall jump controller.

thetatautau 2017-08-05 17:26

My antivirus goes crazy with this game, probably a false positive but I wont risk to try it.

willbl3pic 2017-08-05 17:29

Great graphics and sound, but the player sticks to the wall a bit too easily.

davideperozzi 2017-08-05 18:38

Great graphics but i had my problems with the player movement. Music fits in the game and creates a good combination with the look!

pnghasemi 2017-08-05 23:31

At some platforms, I just preferred killing myself rather than trying to continue. I think you need to avoid unwanted climbings. not using them as obstacles. But you know, the visuals really got me. I really wanted to play just as I saw the screenshots. keep making more levels and adding more hazards. I like it.

dotsquid 2017-08-06 00:24

the thing that impresses me most about this game is the graphic design! as others have said the wall jump could get frustrating, but other than that the controls were fine.

david-broz 2017-08-06 04:37

Nice game but controls are kinda rough.

jason200101 2017-08-06 05:18

The game is nice, it's kind enough so it won't kill us if the light grows dim, the graphics are nice and the controls are okay too!

The level restarting by just leaving the room is kinda annoying though. if you jump out the room from the top you restart, and that can be a problem with some levels.

I suggest if the player walks of the sides of the room, to just push him back and not have to do the whole level again. If he jumps out the room from the top, do nothing. Only restart the room if he falls out of the room, where it's immpossible to keep playing.

Overall, I really liked this game! The idea was nice, the levels weren't too hard and the graphics are good as well! Good job!

pedro-miranda 2017-08-08 11:52

Great game, I like the art style and the fact that we can wall jump. Nice job!

azlen 2017-08-18 00:04

Needs more fluid controls (a perfect example would be *Super Meat Boy*), at the moment the current controls detract from the experience and [Game Feel](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_feel).

I enjoyed playing the game, it got easier once I noticed that there aren't penalties for letting the light weaken which lent more towards a slower and more careful play style.

I also really like the effect when you finish the level. It adds some nice polish to the game.

Cool game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zttkWtUJU-8
