Exellent game. I love this kind of strategy and the idea that meets "homeworld" makes it really good. Well done!

Exellent game. I love this kind of strategy and the idea that meets "homeworld" makes it really good. Well done!
Good graphics and audio. I found that the ship moved a little too fast to keep up with it and protect it
Could you post a Jam version?
Quite the fun small strategy game! Unfortunately a bit laggy in the WebGL version.
Had a good time with this, but sadly hit an out of memory error before what appeared to be the end.
Wow, i'm really impressed with the amount of game you managed to get out in three days - it's a good take on the theme, the gameplay fun while managing to be a little different and the graphics are good too. I hope you're really satisfied with this!
Really creative idea! I wasn't able to get very far, but I really enjoyed the squad management aspect. Felt like an RTS/castle defense mashup. Thanks for sharing!
Hey! Love the idea! Did manage to crash the game by having large amount of ships xD Anyway I flew a long distance and I like the style and mechanic. The AI is simple but smart. Great job, guys. :fist:
Wow!!! this game has a huge potential! Amazing game. very, very, very fun ! The gameplay reminded me Galcon, although very different in essence. There is a difficult part at the beginning but once you pass it you have enough ships to go smoothly very far. I had a 'not enough memory for webgl' message. Probably to many spaceships on screen! Thanks for this game. Currently this the one that gave me the much fun. 5 stars everywhere!
I'm impressed how much you managed to do in one weekend. Great choice of audio. Very old school. The pace slowed down for me quite a lot past the 3rd wave as I had more than enough ships but it was fun.
Amazing work. I love these types of games (even though I am terrible at them). Also, the idea of your mothership moving around in space is brilliant. Nice Job!
I really like this idea. I've never played an RTS like this. Still rough, but I think think this could be made into something really cool.
An RTS game. That is ambitious. Graphics and colors especially are gorgeous.
I like your take on the theme! For me it felt like RTS/Tower deffense only I wasn't the one defending. The graphics is really nice and polished and the music and sound effets complimented the game. Gameplay was also nice - classis RTS. Grat job!
Nice 3d models, good AI, fun. Well done!
Probably the game I had the most fun playing so far.
As I'm into space games anyway (and combined with strategy, I find it even cooler), I really enjoyed this game.
All in all, I don't have any criticism to offer, so let's just conclude:
**Very cool game, great job and thank you for sharing !**
Very impressive entry, in a genre I've rarely seen on Ludum Dare and never seen in a so polished implementation! This is quite an achievement. The gameplay is pretty cool, ambitious and polished (fleet movement, etc.), but what takes the cake is the graphical aspect of the game: the 3D models, lighting, the FX (missile art & trajectories etc.) and overall cohesion/sense of detail only calls for respect :O
While this is a really great LD entry I did found some things that could use improvement:
* I don't seem to be able to select more than 9 units at the same time. For a game that ends up with 100+ units on the screen that's a bit frustrating. Yeah there's the control group mechanic to compensate, but it's just not as fun as simply grabbing 50 units and go swarm a pack of enemies. * That's a more minor thing but it would have been fun if the level had more variety, and maybe a boss at the end. Here the difficulty feels constant, thus the game linear & slightly repetitive. Maybe the time spent on the control group system could have been replaced with more level design. But honestly I'm not criticizing, what you managed to release is already pretty high to LD standards.
As a final advice, I'd suggest you simply remove the Web version and just leave the Windows one: the latter parts of the level, where there's a lot of units, start to make the game very laggy & eventually barely playable, even on decent computers. It just doesn't do justice to the game!
Very impressive. It's rare to see strategy games in Ludum Dare especially RTS games. The mechanics were really well implemented and it was a blast playing the game. Everything in the game together is what made it such a fun experience.
The fact that this game had control groups was also really astonishing. It was very useful when you wanted to send a group of units to attack a group of enemies far away before the mothership reached that area. My only wish was that you could hold shift to add to a selection like in Age of Empires.
The game was really well balanced too, I thought that when I had reached a critical mass of units there would be no way to stop me from reaching my destination but I was wrong.. I was literally a second away from the end of the path when I lost all my power to the enemy ships. I tried again but wasn't able to come as far. I'm gonna have to try again some other day, I really wanted to see what happens when you reach the end :p
This was my favourite game so far and really impressive for a LD game, excellent job!
Very nice graphics and general idea. On seconds try I got pretty far and kept running onto FPS issues, eventually it started updating only two times per second due to number of my ships, it felt like running out of FPS was bigger problem than running out of power. Was eager to try desktop version expecting framerate will be better but I see it is not uploaded, would you consider uploading Windows version?
Very good game! Graphics were very good, and once madness is unleashed they become awesome, so many ships, everyone with their lasers/bullets at the same time. My computer started to suffer once I passed about 50% of the game since there was so many action going on. Always good to play a RTS, and as Linus here says, it's rare to find them at LD.
... For the swarm!
Cool Style!
Wow, great game!
Very polished for a LD entry. I just miss a main menu, but this is totally understandable because of the short time. The mechanics are very easy to learn (since that your ship came near to the enemies), and the graphics... Wow! Amazing graphics! I love it!
I think I 've nothing to complain... awesome entry! Congratulations!
Nice game. The mechanics was really good and easy, at least I was able to get it after 2 tries only which is really good compared to most entries I have tried. I never made it far into the game since I suck in RTS games but it was really fun and fast-paced compared to old RTS games I used to play where I needed a long phase of building before combat. The art and audio are really good too. Overall, I enjoyed this game a lot.
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this game and how engrossed I got trying to beat it (but couldn't lol)
like darkorbit and awesome modelling , are these yours?
First and the only RTS I played this jam, very well done.
Solid entry! The graphics were nice and crisp and when coupled with the atmospheric soundtrack they made for a good space-y mood. The gameplay was simple, but it worked well for the most part. I'll say that at times it felt a little unclear exactly which enemy the units were attacking and how much free will they had (whether ot not I had to manuallly select each enemy to attack or they had a certain amount of autonomy). Other than that, very solid entry!
Great entry! Beautiful graphics, great sound and music, nice gameplay! Although I'm not good at RTS games, I had quite some fun with your game! As already mentioned the mothership was a bit too fast for me - or at least a way to stop it for a while would have been cool. Nevertheless an impresssive entry!
I enjoyed this one! The graphics are beautiful and I really liked this tower defense/escort mission mix. It got a little crazy at some point, because I had so many units on screen (even the FPS got hurt a little) and I felt like I lost control over it. Polish it, add more variance to the gameplay, balance it, and hit the market!
Really cool game guys! I like the art style and the gameplay. I think that with more time you would improve the balance between your units and the enemies to make the game more addictive. Good work!
Could we get a native Linux64 build too, please? Going to try the WebGL port later if not, but looks nice, would like to give it a proper try.
Great game! The graphics seem nice, the music is great, the gameplay is solid, and the overall idea is nice!
I have no negatives to point out! Great work!
This was fantastic, I played through the entire thing. It's a nice simple experience for Ludum Dare and it was very fun. The graphics were great. It was actually kind of fun to spawn hundreds of ships and lag the game
A surprisingly addictive game!I like the strategic feel of the game but will it ever end?!If it had some music,It would improve the mood fairly.8/10 If it had music I didn't hear it.
