The art and the sounds are amazing. The controls were a little bit hard though.

The art and the sounds are amazing. The controls were a little bit hard though.
That was awesome, I really liked playing it.
I can't really tell what the point of this game is. I just lost GB when rolling around as a circle.
The game is a little bit short.
I would like to control where I can shoot.
The game is nice, however it's quite easy. Make yourself tall and spam spacebar. I think it would be better if you could only press space when on a platform.
I really like the idea of a network game, but maybe you could've added a solo game as well. It's kinda hard to find a opponent when not many people are playing your game.
It was a fun game, although the collision with enemies wasn't perfect.
This game is really though, but I like that.
It was fine, but I lost interest after a few minutes. Would been nice if there was more to it.
I liked it. But I think it started a little bit too hard.
That was a really cool game.
It was quite fun, but a little bit hard. I got stuck on the second level.
I couldn't play the game. It said 'openal32 is missing'.
Good game. I like how the graphics get worse when you get hit.
This was pretty challenging I like that.
It felt a little bit boring, there weren't any sounds, there wasn't an attacking animation or something. The game is really strategic though.
It was a little bit confusing.
Nice game. I really like the puzzle aspect of the game.
The game is nice, however it is kinda short. After ten attempts I was a shark and won the game.
It is too easy. I was just staring at my screen waiting for the next one.
My computer can't run this game, but the grapchis are amazing from what I've seen at the start menu.
It was a little bit too hard.
The sounds and graphics were amazing. As said earlier the game gets harder when it needs to.
You really have to study the attacks. Don't know if that's good or bad. However the texts were a bit blurry and hard to read.
Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I'm currently making an improved version where your suggestions will be included. I'll upload this improved version after the judging has ended.
The game starts a little bit too hard.
It was a little bit easy. Just change to shield, wait until you are recharged, perform 3-5 hits and turn into a shield again. It was quite fun however.
This is quite challenging, I like that.
The game is a little bit simplistic.
I didn't have anyone to play against with, but it was really fun to just defeat the second player.
That was a fun puzzle game. I would have liked it if it lasted a bit longer.
The game was a little bit too short.
It's a good game, but I don't really see what the shape shifting part is.
I really liked seeing computers play against each other. It was fun to play. Hopefully you'll do more things with AIs in the future.
There isn't a download link?
The level progression was a little bit strange, but I like the concept.
That's a fun game! It would be nice to have some explanation at the start on how to play.
That games is amazing.
The graphics were amazing. The voice (I don't know if that's your voice) is a little bit hard to understand some times.
It is a fun game, however it felt a bit short.
It's very challenging, I like that.
It's hard to control, but the idea is good.
It is not very clear what you have to do and how it works.
When making the game full screen, the buttons have incorrect bounds.
Are there any tools in the map? I couldn't find any...
I liked the game, it's a nice platformer, but I didn't really feel like the theme was represented in the game. The sounds and music was very good though.
Nice game, I would prefer it if the WASD moved them in that direction instead of turning and then moving forward. The turning made it a little hard to play. But overall good job.
It may be easier for others to add a single player mode in next time. That's why I couldn't play the game. But I did find all those text boxes and messages a bit annoying.
It's an interesting concept to say the least. It was fun, but I don't think you can really play this for more than 5 minutes, because of the lack of content. Maybe you could have expanded it a little bit.
The game was fun, but I couldn't progress past the first floor. I think you had to do something with the ladders or something? Anyway the game was fun, but some sounds/music would have been nice and the guards could do with an AI.
Thank you for all the feedback everyone and taking the time to play and review my game. As I did last Ludum Dare (LD35), I will make an improved version of this game with the feedback I've gotten and release that one as well.
This game is the hardest game I played so far. The graphics, sound and music were absolutely great. My highscore was 70.
Very nice game, the sounds and music were good and the progression of the levels was nicely curved. I got 677.6 m as highscore. I do think that giving the player a higher penalty for hitting the red barriers would have been nice, cause I can get really far while hitting al these barriers.
The game looks good, and the music as great, but for some reason I have insane lag when playing this game (could also be because of my computer, of course).
The graphics were good (from what I've seen), but I got a couple of issues. The blank screens were extremely confusing; I had to read the known issues for me to know what to do. When the game started and I was trying to work out how I'd have to play the game, I died. And when I died it stayed on the empty screen and enter didn't help.
The sounds were good, and the levels have a good difficulty curve. I didn't like the graphics however. I feel like they could be a bit better.
The concept was good, but I think some sounds and music could improve your game a lot. Other than that, the concept is rather enjoyable.
This was pretty fun, but there weren't enough levels if you asked me. Also it didn't feel like there was a strategy to it. I just pressed a button and see how it went and usually it ended up with a victory. Some harder levels would've been nice.
The game looks cool and very nice, but a FOV option would be nice. And setting the mouse sensitivity lower by default would help a lot.
Nice game, very tricky and definitely very fun. I wasn't really able to get the correct flowers to any customers, but I did my best :)
Hitting enemies didn't feel that great. It seems like they always have the upper hand while playing.
Fun game, it's challenging nad not too easy.
Very polished game. I find it to be quite difficult, but perhaps I'm just really bad at this game. Also, the first message for the instruction confused me a bit, I think it would be clearer if you changed 'use the arrows' to 'use the arrow keys'. Other than that, great game.
It felt like the red balls hit the hamster even when he isn't touching them at all. Perhaps you should shrink the boundary of either a bit.
The graphics are great and the animations are really smooth. The gameplay is very fun and pretty difficult.
Great game, there is a slight issue with different screen sizes, though. I had it set to windowed at first and then it was impossible to see the glasses at the left hand side.
Well, this surely is a quite interesting game. I had a hard time figuring out what the right thing is to do with each individual victim and how it would help me. I think it would be easier if you made the goal clearer and started with people who are a little easier.
Nice game, the waves weren't impossible, but not too easy either. I couldn't pick up the last gun for some reason, though, which made it a lot harder.
Pretty fun idea. I'm not great with these type of games, but it was very fun. Perhaps lower the amount of ingredients? The list was quite overwhelming.
I didn't really have a clue on how this game worked. It took me a long time to figure out how to 'go' to work and at work I didn't know what to their as well. Perhaps add some more explanation to the game. I did like the 3D style of the game, that really added to the idea.
I've got the same problem as @kptemre. I pressed every key and button, but nothing happens. So the feedback is going to be based on the title screen.
The spinning room could use some better graphics. The pixels are clearly visible and aren't very nice to look at. The font isn't always readable. For example, the 37 at the top looks more like an 'n'.
My PC has a hard time handling the 3d graphics, but I got through it. The game looks amazing, but it isn't really clear when you get hit by an enemy.
This is very hard, perhaps add some explanation on what you're supposed to do? I was just randomly pressing buttons hoping to find a solution. It definitely suits the theme, though,
Great game, the animation was very good and the graphics weren't that bad either.
Never laughed so hard in my life once I saw the penguin slapping the fisher in the face. An explanation at the beginning could be useful because I didn't really get it at first. Also perhaps show how many lives you got? Didn't see that anywhere.
The movement didn't seem to be very smooth. Sometimes I got stuck walking while there clearly is nothing in front of me. The concept is good, though.
Great game. It took some time to figure out you had to press the corresponding letter, but after I figured that out, it was really fun.
Great game, it is very challenging and it took some time to get the hang of it.
Very challenging. Also, the first gun (forgot the name), wasn't very powerful. I think it would be better if you made it a little more powerful.
The purple floor appearing and disappearing constantly is great, really give it a nice touch. I didn't really find the inspiring part of this game. I just walked around to the placed the yellow things led me and eventually ended in a corridor. And perhaps make it a little longer, cause the game ended very quickly.
For some reason the game crashes instantly when I try to open it.
For some reason, the game instantly crashes after the title screen disappears.
Apparently, we had the same type of game in mind to create. The graphics look amazing and the game is very polished. It took me a little to figure out that I could click on the different sentences when talking, so perhaps make that a little more clear? Other than that this is a great entry.
Very nice little game. The hamster could go a bit faster, though. It was hard to kill enemies when you had to run from the other side of the room. Also you can pick up stuff after you've died which happened to me with a 2x tile.
The game is a little too easy. It felt like I never lost any lives even though I bumped into enemies multiple times. Graphics look good though.
Pretty fun game. The first time I played it my score counter wasn't visible, though. And the fat meter obscures the lives text. However the game is very enjoyable and very polished.
The game is very long, but that isn't that bad, though. The art and story are very good, but the character is very fixed to the tiles. You can't walk diagonally for example. That's really the only downside to this game, other than that I would buy it if you sold it.
madjackmcmad: There is a clue, but it's pretty hard to find.
JulianMH: All languages are machine translated actually (except English). I wanted to experiment with different languages, but as I don't speak any other language fluently except my native language and English, I used machine translation to do the work for me.
Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I'll be making an improved version (as usual) where all your feedback will be implemented in.
For some reason Adobe Flash Player doesn't recognize your project as a correct file type.
Awesome little game, it was really fun and fast-paced. Absolutely loved it.
Great concept, it takes some time to learn to control your movement, but it's definitely fun.
Good little platformer, sometimes the collision detection was a bit clunky and I could jump into moving platforms and get on top of them. I could also jump in the air if I just walked of a block, I'm not sure if that's intentional. I really liked the particles on the fireballs in level 3, they looked really cool. The theme was a bit vague especially if you've to explain it. Still, very solid entry.
The game is interesting but lacks content. Other than keeping the temperature around 20.0 degrees and reaching the max amount of food and water, everything just happened on its own. After five minutes of clicking, I got 100 of each animal (it seemed like that's the max.). The game could become good but has to have more content in order to achieve this.
I quite liked the game. It was pretty fun. I did find it annoying how I couldn't see any health or something like that. Also when the second phase began, my screen went black and then the first phase kept playing over and over making the game unplayable from that point.
That was a fun game. Easy to pick up, but hard to become good at. The audio fitted quite well, the only thing is that the bars on the side are a little small, perhaps make them a bit longer to make it easier to hit the objects.
That is a really nice game. The graphics look good and it has really nice music. It took a while before I understood what to do, but once I got it it was really quite fun. Perhaps a tutorial would be nice. Also, the sound is quite loud when you play the game. It would be great if that would be a little quieter.
I really liked the game, although it was a bit simple. I just pressed launch and started spamming spacebar. If you've upgraded your health and damage a bit you are practically undefeatable. I reached level 34 using this technique. Also, your game consumes insane amounts of RAM. After 15 minutes of gameplay, it was using 2.1GB RAM, which is over half of my total RAM, leading to my internet browser crashing and the SFX in the game stopped playing. But the fact that you kept me entertained for 15 minutes is quite good (I usually stop after 5 minutes of gameplay on these entries), so good job.
That was quite fun actually, even though I'm not a fan of shooters. The game feels very polished and the weird gravitational forces make it quite challenging. Good job!
A fun little game you got. It took some time to learn the basics, but not too long. The gun system feels a bit counter-intuitive to me, but I got the hang of it after some time.
I'm unable to get this game to work. With VK disabled I get an ISE: There is no OpenGL context current in the current thread. And with VK enabled I get an NPE.
The windows build says that there are missing folders and the WebGL version doesn't run either.
I loved the graphics and music this game has, really great job on that. I feel like the shooting is (like others said) a bit buggy, and the game has very little content. Also as your health gets reset every room, you can just walk through the enemies to each door to complete it as well. Perhaps put a door their that opens once all enemies are killed, so players actually have to kill the enemies. Really good entry overall.
Why is this game still showing on the front page, despite it being made for Ludum Dare 38 (as the front page and the url say anyway)?
I never thought taking over the entire solar system was this much fun. The game is very solid and a lot of fun to play. And I managed to keep ~3.4 billion people alive which is a plus. Oh and I got rid of the sun cause nobody need that thing.
Most fun I had in a while, great game.
I didn't really understand what to do in the game. Collect the green blobs and...? It'd probably help stating what the objective is. Also, it was really hard to control your character with a delay of ~1 second between each input.
The concept is really interesting, but the mouse is way too sensitive and makes it really hard to play this game. Even the slightest movement with the mouse made my character move is head to the complete opposite side. Also the story line seems interesting, but it doesn't really guide you enough to keep it interesting. Still this is a really good entry for three days of work.
The idea is pretty solid and I liked the levels. However, the first few levels were too easy and the last level was too hard compared to the previous levels. Also, it was impossible to die in the first two/three levels which made them quite easy. Perhaps the points of the pencil and scissors would kill you as well? That way there is a little more challenge to it.
Nice game, it feels very polished and is pretty fun to play. You did a great job at the AI as it beat me twice (or I'm just bad idk). Very solid entry.
I like the idea of a multiplayer game, but after a while the game became boring, just because there was too little action going on. The fire nearly killed every plant and then the plants overtook the fire and that was the gameplay for 10 minutes. I feel like if there is more stuff to explore and more objects it could become a really interesting game.
Sadly my old computer had a hard time handling this game (it probably was around 1-3fps). But from what I've seen from the few minutes I tried to play it looks quite nice. I did notice the text was cut off on either side so I couldn't read the text completely.
That was a great game. I really liked managing my own planet and a final score of 94% on my first try isn't that bad (hopefully). The background music was very subtle though, perhaps make it a bit more engaging. Overall great entry.
Really fun little game, although it was a bit hard to control your bug. Perhaps make it follow your cursor instead of turning with the arrow keys to make it a bit easier.
I love breaking my mouse every once in a while and this game definitely manages to do that. The management part of it is really interesting and makes this game more interesting.
Good game, really liked the graphics. It was a bit hard to understand at first, but after some time I got the hang of it.
The game is very interesting but has a very steep learning curve. It took me quite long to figure out the basic mechanics and it still was really hard. Perhaps minimize the amount of options at the start and later on add more to them?
The game controls seem to have a bit of input lag, not really sure if that's my pc but thought I'd mention it. The game is pretty fun, although with the randomness of the asteroids there is a chance that basically you're entire path is blocked and you're unable to avoid damage, which happened to me.
Anyway, apart from that it was a solid entry.
It seemed like whatever I did I was always under attack, no matter what I did. Or I'm just terrible at these types of games, which is probably more likely. Anyway I enjoyed the game it was pretty fun. The narrator was sometimes a bit hard to understand though, I think text and voice together would've been a little easier.
Quite a fun game. I wish you could see how far each tower's power reached however, because not every tower seemed to reach as far as the grid indicated. I also ran into a Runtime error while playing the third level, so that's something you may want to look into. Anyway nice game.
Pretty fun to play, but it was pretty easy. In some levels I just walked to the end and finished it that way. Making it a bit more difficult would've made this game a lot better I reckon.
It may be just me, but I had a severe case of input lag, with controls sometimes taking 5 seconds to respond (it may just be my crappy pc), which severely limited the game play for me. Despite that the game seems quite nice and the stars are really well created. I'd suggest adding some kind of background audio to the game, cause it currently felt a bit empty.
Pretty fun game. It's pretty challenging to manage everything, and it was definitely fun.
Wow, this is great game. The graphics and the music fitted the atmosphere really well. One thing I did find a little odd was how easy the game is. I didn't found anyway to die or whatsoever. Bumping into a wall just stops you without any real consequences. The background music could be a little louder, because I only noticed it after three minutes of playing. But overall, great entry.
Nice entry. The visuals and the music definitely created a fitting mood. The interactive tutorial is really useful and helps a lot. I felt like you didn't regain that much power from killing enemies, cause I ran out pretty quick without really getting enough back from the enemies. Or I'm just terrible at this game, either way good job.
That's quite a fun game. I feel like the player character wasn't really necessary and overall just annoying. Also the icons could be a bit more descriptive as it's sometimes kinda hard to tell what's what.
I quite liked the game. The artwork is pretty good and the story is pretty interesting. The lack of audio made the game feel a bit empty though. I also noticed some tabs on the main menu didn't do anything (like About), and the preferences section contained some movable stuff, but I didn't really know what everything did (or if it even does anything at all).
I liked the concept of the game. I felt like there was a shortage of batteries, where the batteries didn't fall fast enough to keep my battery full (even if the spawned directly above me, I would still lose more than I gained) which partially defeated the strategy part. Also some levels could have been a bit more interesting, for example the circle one. The character sprite is quite tiny and hard to see form time to time, perhaps make it a little bigger. Overall nice entry.
This was an interesting game. You definitely have to think wisely about your actions. Something I found a little annoying was that the game stops itself whenever you run out of power. Perhaps just go back to the start menu? That'd be certainly a lot easier. Anyway nice game.
No matter what I did I kept being executed. The game certainly seems to have potential, but the constant defeat didn't help with that. The characters looked nice, but the rest of the world seemed a bit boring. Also a little bit of explanation about what stuff did wouldn't hurt.
As others pointed out the game's a bit short. The graphics are pretty good and the music is better than the usual I see around here, so good job on those.
Really nice game, one of my favorite genres too. I think you did a great job visualizing the emotions of Edgar in the game, good job.
Thanks for making me hate cats.
Seriously though, that was the most fun I've had while playing a LD entry. The voice-over is hilarious, the game is challenging and is well-designed. I'm looking forward to your entry next LD (you will be going to participate next time as well, right?).
Decent game. I couldn't restart my game when I died though (or at least I didn't find out *how*to restart). Some music or sounds would've been nice and really add to the game if you ask me.
