Very fun! 7/10
Cool idea. some kind of check point system would help this a lot. though, in saying that, i liked it enough to push past some annoying set backs. the lights took a while to get the hang of and by then i'd got a good sense of the controls.
I love soundtrack
Really cool game ! I advice you to put some other books on the shelf between the desk and the bed, because it looks like i can jump on it, and i fell a lot of times before i realise i can't go there. Just make it visually obvious maybe.
Good job!
Really nice looking game, I'm amazed you created it all in a weekend!
I found the controls a bit clunky though. When you let go of the W key, you don't seem to always stop straight away, like it's out of sync or something.
Super cute idea and great graphics, loved it :D
Very fun, and pretty hard too. The movement is a little bit odd, though, because when I left hold of a key it would still move in that direction for a second.
It's beautiful and the look and sound kept me playing for a while, but IĀ found the controls and layout of the room infuriating.
Unless you want to make the player tear their hair out (which doesn't seem to fit with the pleasant mood of the room) there are a few tweaks that might help with playability:
- give the player a short 'grace period' after running off an edge when they can still start a jump despite being technically too late
- stack the books on the second window ledge a bit higher so it's more clear that you can't jump over them
- arrange the first series of lights so that they're spaced exactly right for either a running or non-running jump. You could put the harder version of those jumps further along, above a shelf or something to catch the player and let him walk back and try again quickly
- generally have something underneath later jumps to catch the player and not just drop them all the way back to the start.
I did really like the feeling of being in the room and the idea of climbing around on all the features around the walls, though.
Nice use of lighting to guide us through and music was really relaxing but the awful controls killed this game for me. The character doesn't stop when you let go of the movement keys, it slides a lot meaning that sprinting then jumping wasn't ideal most of the time so walking, jumping then sprinting midair was seemed to be the best way to go about it. I kinda got used it towards the end but I could only reach as far as the top of the windows.
The graphics on this game are beautiful. I love the mood. I found the jumping on the lights too hard. I was only able to jump on the first one, and that was after a lot of tries. Still this is a very solid entry, and just beautifully done. Wow.
I really enjoyed this. Jumping with shift is little hard. And there could be some checkpoints. Otherwise than that it was fun! :)
I love the visuals, and the music is absolutely incredible. However, I couldn't make it past the first light after the first windowsill - which was really quite frustrating. I think this game should be slightly easier, especially considering how serene the rest of it is.
Fun little game bit too slippery controls to my liking otherwise brilliant!
Really nice and beautiful! Nice work on the room! :D Kinda challenging to jump on the lights, but too challenging! :P
Graphics are beautiful, though I found it a bit too dark, audio creates an amazing atmosphere and completes the package in a really nice and relaxing way! :)
Great project! :)
