Cronus' Tomb by Mr_Field 2016-09-03T17:29:00

Very very impressive for a game jam game. The art is great and the ambition of the game design is commendable. Combat works pretty well but some hit boxes are pretty brutal (the axes hit you throughout their entire swing despite appearing to be "up" and out of your way) and in general things are a bit difficult (I suspect you played a lot of your own game and got quite good at it c:). The (first? only?) boss fight was really tough and I ended up giving up. Does a lot of damage and doesn't really telegraph where she'll appear very well. Overall though this is an absolutely impressive entry and a great base to build an amazing game from!

Cronus' Tomb by Mr_Field 2016-09-03T17:29:00

Oh and I really liked the music puzzle that was cool! Wish the lights that indicated you got the right note were a little brighter and easier to see but otherwise was neat!

Fall of Babel by walkupandaway 2016-08-30T00:17:00

It's a cool mechanic that could easily be expanded on. Sad to only see two levels but I understand that's usually the hardest part to make in a game like this.

Ancients Home by Tygrak 2016-09-02T18:10:00

I think the sheer ambition of this is commendable. No one was really leaving helpful notes though :). I didn't get very far, I think the puzzles need more work which is understandable because trying to make good puzzles in 48 hours is always going to be very difficult. The note mechanic seems like it could be neat but the notes can be pretty hard to read and it seems like the blind leading the blind a lot.

Ancient Blocks by dpumford 2016-09-03T17:34:00

It's a neat concept and it plays well. Wish the interface was spelled out a bit more in game but obviously the time pressure makes stuff like that harder to get to. Good job!

Rolling Time by austintradr 2016-08-30T00:20:00

I really like the mechanic. It's clever and forces the player to make smart decisions quickly. Would really like to see a more fleshed out version with more refined jumping and additional obstacles.

Petroglyph by Jonpul 2016-08-29T23:46:00

I like the general idea of the core mechanic but I feel like the player needs something to mitigate damage they take as they beam a player up. You basically just have to sit there and take whatever damage the dudes shoot up at you. Also I didn't like how you had to line up the bottom of the beam with the characters. It might have been a bit more clear if the bottom of the beam was a circle and the characters had circular shadow blobs under them. Anyway the idea is goofy and fun and I enjoyed it overall. Good job!

Reinvent the Wheel by Linus123xbb 2016-09-03T23:36:00

The shape of my wheels didn't seem to do much or maybe I'm just good at inadvertently drawing good wheels :)

The leaderboard is a nice touch, had fun.

S**ON by jakatpemadi 2016-08-29T23:55:00

I clicked a tree a bunch until a cloud shot lightning into the ground and gave me a spoon to give medicine to a guy who was pooped on by a bird.

10/10

Hand Cranky by tedajax 2016-09-03T18:04:00

@Vaiaphraim yeah audio was one of the last things I did and I just ran bfxr and found sounds that sort of fit lol. I'll make sure you give them a pass in Audacity next time and make sure they're not so obnoxious. Also while in the air the cart spins if you're holding a direction down. If you release while in the air you should just float for the most part. Thanks for the detailed feedback.

Hand Cranky by tedajax 2016-09-03T20:38:00

@BestNickname I really should make it so that you don't turn the cart until you've released the arrow keys after jumping so that you can keep the key held without accidentally turning.

Escape From Earth by Stending 2016-09-03T21:47:00

Haha I like the twist of the "ancient" game within a game. Played pretty well for something so simple too. Movement felt really good. Good job!

The Huckster by MrBrenan 2016-08-29T23:29:00

Impressive atmosphere and production for a game jam game. The puzzles are well designed and the core mechanics are solid. Managed to get myself in a no-win condition in the 3rd or 4th level when I managed to drag a block through a door as it was closing that was required to keep that door open.

Egyptian sniper by PnDAA 2016-09-03T17:48:00

Really good! Art looks great and there's a great amount of polish in general to the whole thing. The camera movements and everything are great. The keyboard + mouse mechanic is cool. With a mechanical keyboard it almost sounds like you're reloading the gun. Definitely get overwhelmed at a certain point but that's the fun of it. Really nice job!

The Puzzling Pyramid by AlexLamarche 2016-09-02T18:23:00

Really good puzzle mechanic. I would really love to see this idea expanded out a bit more. There's definitely potential here for more mechanics and feedback you can give the player. I also liked the polish you put into this, the fades between menues and gameplay help make it feel a little nicer than a typical game jam entry.

Temple Quest by Vaiaphraim 2016-09-03T17:57:00

The programmer art is great! Like the music too. The gameplay is simple but works well. The later levels definitely have you juggling decisions a bit more than you'd expect and it can be pretty challenging. Kind of wish the different actions were centralized a bit more. Stretching between space, shift, q is a bit much. Anyway I had fun and thanks for your feedback on Hand Cranky!

Homecoming by adaFish 2016-09-03T17:59:00

The controls were a little difficult but I just think it's impressive that a game built so quickly can have such great atmosphere. Thanks for your feedback on Hand Cranky!

Wheel It! by rodancheg 2016-09-03T20:43:00

It's pretty goofy and funny. Felt like a rock star when I got over that first hill! Basic but has good humor, good job!

Goblin Defence! by Senor Salty 2016-08-29T23:51:00

The music was pretty rough to be honest. The core game is simple and there is some potential fun there but you would have been better off with no music I think.

20000 Pixels Into The Sea by blinry 2016-08-29T23:38:00

Very impressive production and the sailing mechanics seem to work really well. It takes a little getting used to but I like that you can actually tack. My only real gripe is I wish there was more of an effort to lead the player into rescuing survivors in the direction of the wind. Maybe the goal to drop them off could be at the northern end? With the first group of survivors I shot off north and had to slowly come back south against the wind then make my way back to the mainland. Just a thought, great job!

<< FIND REWIND by cakeknuckles 2016-09-03T17:41:00

I really like the art style. Something about it took the relatively simple gameplay and made it really interesting. Honestly knowing how well fruit ninja manages to do you could probably make something pretty compelling out of the "shooting" minigame alone. Nice quirky writing and all around charming entry!

Little God Academia by Linver 2016-09-02T18:35:00

It's a goofy concept but pretty fun with good production value!

The Crush by joemag 2016-09-03T17:45:00

Wish the objects would sit still a bit better and I feel super short. The concept is pretty cool though.

Hello Hello by celia14 2016-09-03T23:28:00

A nice clean simple design that fits the theme well! Plays really well but I think it would have been nice if the red plug was automatically selected after selecting the white plug. I get that it would take away a bit from the hectic nature a bit but it would be a bit nicer on my wrist :). Anyway good job!

Janissary by BestNickname 2016-09-03T20:47:00

Ha I like the concept. Makes you feel really good when you do finally down a zeppelin. Wish there were more steps with the ramrod like mashing two buttons to actually push the bullet down instead of just scrolling the wheel. I like the idea of shooting down a zeppelin with a musket, just a funny mental image.
