Well polished game that has its replay value by trying to beat your previous score.

Just a quick note I wanted to add after watching some people play this.
You need to get he bottom end of your beam on the person or animal you are trying to beam up. I probably could have made that hit zone a little bigger.

Nice game, I liked that you added a story!

It's a really good game and I like the "replayability", I found the spaceship sprite funny

Pretty good. I liked the graphics.

Nice concept and story! After we had grasped the mechanics of beaming, it was rather simple to play. We had a funny moment: When beaming up the last person, we cheered that we beat the game, but then the next iteration started and the whole civilization came back :-P The story screens were a bit wall-of-text like, maybe some graphics would help there. We didn't really like the repetitive soundtrack.

HIGH SCORE: 210

Very fun concept and story, had a lot of fun! Love the ending too.

Would have liked different font choices for the text that wasn't the title - felt a bit out of place. Definitely a graphical version of the story would have been better as well.

I feel like the only gameplay problem for me was that the optimal strategy was to focus on dodging, since there was no way to recover shields and the primitive people were surprisingly accurate with their rocks and spears! So I ended up getting a bit annoyed at how much dodging I was doing, since dodging doesn't really make you any progress of get any points. This could be remedied in many ways - perhaps shields regenerating, making the player have a time limit, or making the primitive people less accurate...I'm sure you could come up with more ideas as well!

Overall, a very solid LD game! Bet nobody can beat my high score!

I like the general idea of the core mechanic but I feel like the player needs something to mitigate damage they take as they beam a player up. You basically just have to sit there and take whatever damage the dudes shoot up at you. Also I didn't like how you had to line up the bottom of the beam with the characters. It might have been a bit more clear if the bottom of the beam was a circle and the characters had circular shadow blobs under them. Anyway the idea is goofy and fun and I enjoyed it overall. Good job!

A very cute, little game. Only issue is that the range of the tractor beam should be extended,in order for the player to have a better chance of dodging the small projectiles.Giving the projectiles gravity would be a welcome edition as well.

Your graphics look cute, unfortunately I cannot run your 64 bit executable on my 32 bit system.

simple and fun :D good work!

Nice! Fun, challenging, and replayable. However, I do agree with johnbjuice that it could use some more durability options, one or two more mechanics would really increase the strategy and play time. I enjoyed the challenge though, nice work.

Fun and nice simple mechanics! It seems like there's not anything you can do to avoid taking damage when beaming someone up. I also couldn't figure out how to quit the game: Esc? Q? Alt+F4? Ended up alt-tabbing out and quitting from the taskbar.

Oww, a UFO game, that's nice. Shield is good idea, but better to visualize it somehow (may be an semi-opaque sphere around the saucer?)

Good start.

Good simple graphics and concept, the game is very polished so well done :D.
I like the idea but I feel like its a very repetitive concept for people to create games of.
Still well done
