I like the style!
The controls are not explained and a bit confusing.
Im also not sure what objective I have (Story)
But with those mechanics and graphics makes me want to play it with a deep story :P
Great Game!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD36 → Homecoming

Great Game!
It looks like a good base for any game, but I wish there was some kind of objective or maybe I'm just missing it. The movements are a bit wobbly but I liked the reading parts and the sound effects. I'm a big fan of Life is Strange so I see where this is coming from!
Thanks for playing and giving such constructive feedback, muit and Seizar! We have some time tonight, and so we will work in some more control and objective instruction based on your comments. :D
Wow. I think you on your way to a great point and click adventure. Keep at it. Or rebuild it when you come up with more story.
I think you guys did a good job with trying to establish a story, especially in the short 72 hours! I'd love it if there were more ways to interact with the room (more belongings, perhaps?). The interpersonal relationships in the game read clearly; I especially love the mother's sense of humor.
In the web version of the game, the music didn't play when I put the cassette into the player. I also occasionally had some issues with the player throwing objects in random directions when I tried to drop them into the boxes-- I'm just treating that like it's canon and assuming that he has poor motor skills.
Good game. More story and more things to interact with would be great!
I put everything into the "keep" box because that's what I would do in real life I guess. But when I was trying to put the cellphone into the box it bounced off the wall and fell somewhere under the bed so I couldn't get it ):
Anyway, nice game and I love the concept. I don't know if there are any more rooms but it's good project managing if you guys planned the game to have only one or a few rooms in it, due to the time you had to do it.
Great ambiance and mood! Loved the way the background stories came out through all of the little pieces of memorabilia.
Does feel like it needs a bit more of a goal or direction though. The ending actually kind of let me down compared to how cool the other elements of the game were. Think this can be expanded into something pretty awesome. The world-building was super on point.
I enjoyed the small little story that was told through items that were found. I enjoyed this very much! One thing you might want to look into is making movement speed a little bit slower. Another thing was that sometimes the look sensitivity felt a bit inconsistent.
nice little narrative adventure! i liked being able to interact with the items like put the cassette in the player but the floppy disc didnt seem to do anything aside from open a window so that was a bit disappointing. the music was nice on the cassette and went well with the games mood. the style was nice and the story was interesting to uncover so overall i'd say good job!
Great game actually!! And in such short time.. nicely done i like the style of it and the humor it has, the throwing is a bit weird.. it needs a tad more power i guess ;) Keep working on it :)
The object pickup is a bit wonky, the wsad controls are quite floaty, the fps camera is good though. Some of the texts are too small to read. Also the goals are not so clear. Good work though.
This game has a great story, but to be honest I would have liked different endings based on what you did and didnt sort. The art was nice, but the physics engine was a bit wonky(sometimes dropping something near a wall would cause it to jump across the room. This actually made me have to restart my game one time XD)
Hi, nice game and congratulations ! We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description.
Had to brace myself for a screamer when I opened that closet, the internet has ruined me.
Great job! It was really nice piecing together the background story from the items.
The floppy disk looked a bit weird for me when inserted in the pc on the web version.
Very Nice i love your Game Good Works )=
I like the atmosphere but i miss some sort of objective. Also the floppy looked a bit strange as @slam_nine described it and sadly the game crashed as i tried to get the audio cassette to work :|
oh, on of my favourite type of games :) Good job, it was fut to play :)
Very cool and atmospheric, nice little story, like a mini-Gone Home.
Very cool. I just got done playing Firewatch which is very Gone Home-eqse, and I could definitely use more games like this.
Nice experience, the music on the cassette really helped to solidify the mood. I liked the short story that you put together and was interested in seeing where it could go from there.
Did find the dropping controls a little finicky and had one of the items fall in such a way that it got stuck under the bed, but overall I had fun with the game.
My favourite part by far would have to be the dad joke!
Hi, all. Popping in to say thanks for playing and for all the feedback. We are working on the issues with the cassette and the controls and hope to have some fixes up by the end of the week. :D
The game idea is great, and the story is fine. I had no real issues with the game, so overall well done.
The controls were a little difficult but I just think it's impressive that a game built so quickly can have such great atmosphere. Thanks for your feedback on Hand Cranky!
