Graphics are good enough, but what I really liked is system involved with using elevators. Nerfing your character instead of buffing it - that is really cool idea, even though most people would probably prefer the latter :D Btw losing accuracy on first elevator was the best thing to do because it allowed me to eliminate enemies much easier :p Good job!
Pretty fun to play, but it was pretty easy. In some levels I just walked to the end and finished it that way. Making it a bit more difficult would've made this game a lot better I reckon.
I liked the graphics and sound a lot! They created a great atmosphere. The idea of powering down various systems was neat but made the game brutally hard at the end. Aliens with blasters were very difficult for me, because they could shoot in 360 deg while I was limited to 8 cardinal directions.
Interesting idea, having players sacrificing an ability in order to progress to the next level. The ability one chooses to lose really impacts the next level which I like.
Although, losing the accuracy module actually benefited me as the bullets would spread and kill more enemies without me having to much. So maybe that ability should be reversed as having it be accurate is harder than it being inaccurate. Once I had figured out the best order to sacrifice powers, the levels became quite easy, I just had to hold down Z whilst walking forwards.
Overall it was a very good game and an interesting concept. Well done!
Forcing the player to choose how weaker they will be is a very good idea ! Well done.
Fun little game, but definitelly needs more polishing: - enemies can stuck in walls - maybe adding some kind of limit of shots would make it better to play - rotation of player would be awesome, because now he can only face one of eight directions
Nice game! It sure needs polish, but for a jam game I enjoyed it. I especially like the nerfing mechanic, as other jammers have already pointed out. It's very uncommon and makes for interesting, strategic choices. Good job!
the idea of reducing the 'stats' of the player is nice.
