I love the concept. I think that this idea is amazing! I would buy this game if it had 100 levels and was polished some more. Great work!

Interesting idea and quite difficult! The only issues I had were with having to recall the level from memory and it resetting the order of the shapes every time. Still, nice work!

pretty nice game here. when i figured out you can change the position of the shapes the game was more entertaining.

estrelsteel 2016-04-18 21:36

I really enjoyed this game. I felt with the menus made to look nicer, this game could have done really well. I also thought that the order should be kept across restarts, so that I knew what I did last time. I'm unsure why all the categories have been removed.

Fun, but could look more appealing.

Well done! Even though it's a bit unpolished, there are many ideas which I like. The level graphics are pretty!

floatingghost 2016-04-18 22:02

Pretty difficult game, and I do agree that choosing the order when being able to see the level would be better :)

thunderklaus 2016-04-18 22:04

Interesting concept.
Why did you opt out all but 2 categories?

qweentyne 2016-04-18 22:05

This game has a cool concept ! But it lacks a lot of polish. The menu selector for example is not very pretty...

Another thing that could be improved is be able to select your shape order on the same screen as where you play the level. It that case you can think and order the shapes at the same time, and if you failed the level, the order shouldn't be reset.

Good ideas are present (having to go back to change to the right shape, +1 shapes, doors etc...) but sometimes (level 4 - if finished it by just walking strait) you should watch-out for overly-simple solutions you didn't expect.

Congratulations for submitting a game and good luck for future ludum-dare-s.

Nice mechanics. I rushed in and didn't realise you are supposed to change the order, I thought it was just showing you. Agreed should see the level when choosing order.

goffmog 2016-04-19 22:36

Terrific, I wish there were more levels. A bit of polish would go a long way in a post-compo version. Then you can monetize it ;)

Really cool gameplay! Great work. I think you spent time on the right things with this.

When I read the game description, my first thought was "wow". As in, "wow, that's some unusual puzzle idea, will it work?"

So, I ran the game, and I must say that the graphics could use some tuning; I don't even mean making the sprites more polished or something, but at least choosing something different than bright red background and blue buttons for menu. The game itself feels a little clunky, too, mostly due to suboptimal way the reordering phase is handled. First of all, it'd really help if reordering was made with the level state visible, so that I can see what I'm getting into (it's particularly important in the level with reordering checkpoint). Second, it'd be nice if the game remembered what was the last combination I started with, so that I can just do a single correction or so. Finally, the reordering phase uses mouse while the rest of the game uses keyboard, making controls a bit bothersome.

As for the puzzles, they weren't as great as I'd hoped (in particular, there were not shape-specific abilities or anything; just walls that reacted to specific shapes), but still provided a little bit of a challenge. I particularly found the one-time passes and +1 shifters curious.

Generally, kudos for the idea (and interesting theme usage), but execution could use some reworking.

When making the game full screen, the buttons have incorrect bounds.

redpillgamedev 2016-04-20 14:48

Very simple, but interesting concept! It took me some time!

cicanci 2016-04-20 14:54

Great concept, you should keep work on this game :)

zombieritual 2016-04-20 15:00

Cool puzzle game. There is a bug when you restart 6 level the game closes.

dringy 2016-04-20 15:14

This was really fun, I really like the concept. Found a bug on level 6: after changing configuration, click restart and start to crash the program. Regardless very good game, well done.

pixelretro 2016-04-20 19:59

Really nice idea!! But reordering of the shapes should be on the same screen as the level and the order should not be reset every time you restart the level (I had to make some notes, because of that).
