Nice, never played a turn-based shooter before. I like the idea.

Nice, never played a turn-based shooter before. I like the idea.
This was more fun than I expected. I really liked the idea that the game takes place inside a planet and that the core attracts the missiles. Bugs that I encountered in the Artillery mode: Sometimes a player glitches trough the ground. I once got blasted partly under a rock and after that it was hard to see around with that player.
Wow that is a really neat game! well done man! I wish I had someone around to play this with, a player announcement similar to worms would be neat. The gravity system was slightly strange to start off with, but soon I was flinging rockets around the "core" no problems at all!
I can imagine this being really fun with a couple of people! Music is great, some cool gravity skill shots can be done, 10/11.
Very good game, very creative. Like Worms but with a whole new 3d upside down gravity take on it. I once fell down through the map, playing artillery, but that's about it for the negatives. Well done.
Very solid entry. Simple yet fun! It felt very rewarding shooting a rocket to the other side of the map using the gravity of the sun!
Thank you @jazzpah & @rabbittortoise for finding out that bug ! It occured to me once, but I could not reproduce it (guess I was not playing in artillery mode). I'll look into it today.
This as a multiplayer game would have been amazing!! It's so much fun! The sound effects are so silly, which makes them awesome! Love the game
Good game. We really loved the sound of the gun :D and the other vocies too. You should give some pause time or use a button when players change. The sphere map is a cool idea.
This game has simple and solid mechanics which is nice. The sun's gravity along with the spehere world adds some depth to the game.
I was trying Artillery Mode, and I had 2 guys on opposite sides of the map. I thought I wouldn't be able to get the trajectory right to ever finish the game. Then I tried firing near the core with about %70 power (%100 power actually fell short because it didn't curve enough) and I hit the shot! Fantastic idea for a game, I think if you made more crazy maps like this and perhaps additional weapons you could have a marketable game here.
This was one of the more fun games I played. I especially liked the spherical world the players were in and the projectiles were unpredictable in a good way.
One suggestion for next time: and this goes for everyone that submitted something, (including myself). Think about "Why would the player want to play this?" and "Why should the player care?" and "How can I keep the player engaged and give them real depth of gameplay?"
I'll play it again with somebody for sure. Great job!
That was surprisingly fun! It's like a 3-D Worms or something and I loved Worms back in the day. I would love to play a more developed multiplayer version of this. It was really trippy playing on the inside of a sphere what with the notion that gravity kept movign around. Since the artillery fire is affected by gravity I would try to compensate for that with the angle of my shot but then I'd misaccount for the curvature of the inside of the sphere. Ahhh! :)
Really fun! Liked the concept and the execution was very polished. One thing I would've preferred is to not be fully locked in before like letting go of the left mouse button.
Good game. I had fun just playing against myself! I like the way the core affects the gravity of the projectiles. The music and sound effects fit in well to this game.
Next thing to do would be to make some AI opponents to fight against. Very fun indeed.
That was quite fun actually, even though I'm not a fan of shooters. The game feels very polished and the weird gravitational forces make it quite challenging. Good job!
Hi,
I really like the idea. It was a bit of a shame I was only playing with myself. But I could see this being really fun online or with a friend next to you. It's nice with the explosions because it's harder to hide, would also be really cool with different weapons. Something to think about :)
Also the sounds are hilarious.
Nice animations and models. It was a little difficult to guess where the projectiles would land, but a local multiplayer game like this usually benefits from this type of difficulity. I'll be keeping this on my computer.
Lots of joy, despite that I experienced this game myself.:) Impressive low poly art, and it seems to be a good idea to dev a hot-seat mode game in next LD. lol
I love it! it reminds me of worms, just in 3D. and wacky gravity. as usual multiplayer games are hard to test on LD, but this could be fun to play with friends.
I got stuck on the core, is that supposed to happen?
I like the sound effects, they are funny XD the music is good too. overall I think it was really well made!
Wow, that was sooo fun!! Impressive for a game jam!!!
It was hilarious competing with myself (didn't have anyone else around atm). I got pretty into it... perhaps embarrassingly so, trying to screw the red guy over when I was blue, etc. Bob won in the end, btw.
I had a ton of fun! I enjoyed the sound effects and the music. It was hard to know when gravity of the sun would take effect, but it was an interesting mechanic. Maybe a fadeoff-style halo around the sun would make that clearer? Either way, great game.
@nvrskipgameday Actually there is this faint red circle, but it's hard to see.
That had some real potential! Would have loved to have more powerups/weapons like in Worms et cetera (mostly to give you a reason to move around) but the concept was very solid and was fun to play. Artillery mode was really challenging and satisfying, especially arcing around the sun to nail Bob.
Very creative and fun game! I can't say I've ever played anything like it, and for a game jam game it was pretty well made. Quite a good entry!
Great game!
Worms inside a sphere is already good, but with the sun and thus another gravitational field is super! And greatly executed. The silly game jam sound effects are funny. :-D
