I don't know if that was a bug but I got stuck on a pile of floating boxes in space rotating forever. Other than that very cool, good job.

I did not reached too far, but you do a great job here with the retro texture and physical in the orbit of the " world ". A tip is don't use specular in the wood boxes, this prejudice the volume of the painted texture.
Very pretty and atmospheric, I love the feeling of being on a miniature world.
This is amazing! Got the message sent just in time, walked into the light and then major Tom got sent into the sun! (you should probably check for that)
There is only one issue, for me at least: motion sickness. The FOV is criminally low. Would like a setting for that in the pause menu.
And yes you are the best player!
I'm trying to understand the mechanics, once you get the stick, if i press mouse i see the camera shakes, but i can't move the monolith or the boxes.
Btw, i also love the ambient and atmosphere of being in a distant asteroid rotating in the void :D
The game looks cool and very nice, but a FOV option would be nice. And setting the mouse sensitivity lower by default would help a lot.
The tiny planet is a good idea but otherwise I don't know what I'm supposed to do despite the instructions written on the tablet. I pushed this gray cube towards the monolith and nothing happened. I got the stick, nothing happened.
I wasnt quite sure what to do, but the graphics looked cool! I included it in my compilation video series of Ludum Dare 36, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/iJTT4Yba0N8
@Jupiter_Hadley you found the stick and the generator. The main idea is to push radio module and generator to the monolith by stick, and enter the Morse code by kicking the monolith.
Interesting idea and i like how action takes place on a small planet. It's also nice that game explains itself, i mean there are instructions / to-do list next to the player when he starts the game. Unfortunately after you find the stick, games isn't so good at explaining what to do later. I knew that i had to find the generator and do something with it and monolith but before i could experiment and try new things my oxygen ran out and i had to start over, and maybe i even got futher each time but that was getting a bit frustrating. Other than that concept is pretty cool and that was very innovative approach to the theme.
Here are some bugs i ran into: Mouse isn't locked to the game screen and if someone is using two monitors then it might be a problem. You can jump before hitting the ground which basically means that you can fly around the planet (maybe that was intentional)
Very cool physics-based game. The small planetoid idea is very neat. The FOV made it feel like you were looking out of a space helmet, so I was fine with it.
Some heavy breathing or some other similar sound effect would have helped for me to internalize my predicament.
Loved the imagery of the stick sitting on a pedestal.
Great job!
Cool game! I was lost at first, but after reading up comments I managed to complete it with like 2% of oxygen.
Basically what you have to do is this:
- Find Stick
- Find reactor ( big red chunk )
- Hit reactor with stick to move it to Monolith (Big Black Pillar)
- Find Radio module ( gray cube with electronics )
- Move it to monolith
- Enter morse code by standing next to Monolith, hitting it with stick, small hit = . / Large hit = -
- Type SOS??? ...---...
- Walk into the... rocket ? ( Blue Cone )
This was amusing. The 'move things by whacking them with a stick' approach was quite novel. Also, amazing how big such a tiny sphere seems when the clock is ticking.
The graphics are ok and I really like the orbiting of the sun. The helmet UI makes you feel IN THE GAME! I found that the default sensitivity was too high and it took me a while to figure out that if I hit esc I could change it. All in all the game is very fun it took me a while to figure out what the heck I was doing but, I did come fairly close to winning a few times :)
