What at fun game! :D Great audio, appropriate visuals, good job!
Didn't have LÖVE installed on my system; installed it especially for giving this game a try (the cover image sold me on it) ... boy was it worth it! :)
Love the aesthetic, LOVE the music, LÖVE the game! Only point of criticism: too short. I want moar!
Building stairs ... building stairs. Neat game. :)
I came to understand level 2 — now my brain hurts. ^_^
3-5 were way easier, but still challenging. Nice game!
It's "The Missile Game 3D" in trippy! ^_^'
Took me a bit to get used to the inverted controls and was a bit hard to judge where my current position was (depth wise). But it definitely works as a game. Nice music and flashy visuals.
The web version glitched out on me a few times (screen went black) but I got the standalone version to work on Linux (missed a few libs at first).
Apart from that: what a blast! The wild shooting reminded me of Trosh (https://youtu.be/l-yCtFtnQe8). Visuals, sound, game play ... everything awesome! And it wasn't easy to get to the end. (Stupid circle — would've liked to be a pentagon the whole time. ^_^)
Very nice game. Relaxing background music, neat sound effects and visuals and a bunch of engaging (although a bit easy) levels.
I especially liked that it was possible to find several solutions since e.g. a rhinos 'run' can be used as a large jump.
Damn those question marks. :D -1 morph, -1 health, decreased your vision ...
I like the story and game idea, but I couldn't keep my the motivation for very long.
"Yaaay, new high score!" :D
Love the awesome sound effects! Gameplay is fun, visuals do their job (viewfields extending through walls makes for a challenge when there are a lot of guards) and did I say the sound effects are awesome?
All in all a really cool game! :)
Not sure how to play this on Linux. Here's what I did:
1. download BeatHenshin_Linux.zip
2. run ./BeatHenshin.x86
which resultet in:
error while loading shared libraries: libXcursor.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Really, I have to fly just to get on that button on the floor right in fron of me? ;D
Using states of water is a nice idea. The three little puzzles were worthwhile too. The gameplay felt a bit stiff though. Being able to cancel the gas and ice states instead of always waiting for a fixed duration would've been nice.
I'm also missing the tkinter lib. But 17 lines of python tell me it's probably not worth the hassle getting the lib to "play".
Nice little game. More levels would've been nice.
Also: what's the dash for? I only got it after reaching the end with the wall jump.
Needed 1:08 in the first try, now I can't get below 2 minutes anymore. Already fixed tiles seem to constantly reglitch even when they have only one or even no adjacent glitched tiles. D:
I really like the fact that the ball gets faster if one repeatedly hits the right colored surface. Makes for a fun challenge based of simple rules. :)
By the way, I found a nice bug. While being a triangle rapid turning can make the ball go out of bounds. This interestingly resets the timer. Here's getting to 100 points while keeping the timer at 60s: https://youtu.be/oz7qYsITu4o :D
Lizard people! Nice idea! :)
I didn't quite get the "collect human-suits" idea. It seemed to be sufficient to just jump into the ufo and back to refill the suit. Moving by ufo seemed to have to merit.
I think I once got over 50% approval but I was hacking away on the spacebar, a notification popped up (did I win?) and it instantly disappeared (because I was hitting the spacebar).
This cowbox seems to navigate on roller skates. The frist time I thought I'd finish the first level I just slid off into the abyss. Level borders would've been nice.
Also, bullets seem to collide with the player if one shoots while standing. I only was able to shoot enemys when shooting while walking forward.
Lastly, the jumping sound seems to be a bit delayed.
Nice puzzle game!
Level 6 took me a while to get, which is why I had to do level 5 over and over and over again (getting thrown back a level in case of failiure was mean! -.-). Got though in the end but I respectfully decline the reward. ;P
Simple but quite fun game. Managed to survive for 5 minutes first try. :)
Really nice idea. :)
Liked the music, the visuals, the challenge, the waldos ...
Can't seem to get to day 7 though. Was frustrated in the end so I ... https://i.imgur.com/8pPceLk.png
Not that I knew what I was doing but it was kind of fun. Music was the best, visuals also neat!
Btw.: the scoreboard showed only 5 digit scores when mine were entered ('SIR' with an 80.000 and a 90.000 score) then I got 100.000 and this happened: https://i.imgur.com/3lQEkm2.png — maybe a bug?
Is there an end to this? After a few tries I found a 'stay at the borders, dodge, eat' strategy to be very easy ... went over 200 and then lost motivation to continue. ^_^
You could have added a time limit to make it a game. This way I guess it is at least the submission with the highest possible score. (;
Sound effects awe awesome, gameplay is really fun. :)
Played several rounds and got to a score of 543 so far.
Really like the music. Game concept is nice, too bad it's only 6 short and easy levels.
Could have been a nice stretch of puzzling time like for example bloxorz.
Great game! Getting the treasure even was challenging. :)
Why "Windows (JAR)"? This runs perfectly fine on Linux, too. ;)
Anyway: nice game, lovely ending screen. :)
Best idea ever. :D Loved it and even on "Affordable" it was challenging.
Haha, the evaluation is the best! :D Nice memorization game.
Fun game. :) On my first try I got stuck on a planet at the border — of the universe, is suppose :P —; every time I left the atmosphere and tried to get a way in space I was brought back to planet view. ^^
Anyway: liked the gameplay, switching between the two views, and loved the seemingly always partying houses. :D
@William Bundy:
Despite the *.tar.gz file name it's not zipped.
$ file tenth-second-linux.tar.gz
tenth-second-linux.tar.gz: POSIX tar archive (GNU)
If it were zipped it would look like this
$ file test.tar.gz
test.tar.gz: gzip compressed data, from Unix, last modified: Mon Aug 26 13:56:19 2013
so simply run
$ tar -xvf tenth-second-linux.tar.gz
instead of
$ tar -xzvf tenth-second-linux.tar.gz
@RandomM00:
Consider renaming the file to tenth-second-linux.tar to avoid confusion.
Oh wow this was awesome! <3 Loved the graphics, the setting/story, dialogs and the gameplay.
Oh it's over but the timer is still running ... hehe ... oh ... OH ... WAT? Really awesome towards the end. :D
Epic concept! <3 Loved the boss level and the ending screen. :)
Fun game. :)
One thing though: my score disappears when I reach more than 9 points. ^^ Guess it's a font issue ... I'm on Linux and my score number looks like some fallback standard font.
Oh and the background music seems to be played twice simultaneously when you play a second round w/o reloading the page.
Not bad. Though ... did I ever loose HP? Not sure. ^^ Could have been more challenging.
Nice! :D Was fun to play and I even found a glitch: http://youtu.be/idS1eUE3YPI ("Hm, can I get stuck here? Oh I can ... and now, wat? I'm out of here!")
Haha, cool. :D The intro part is super helpful and the game itself is really fun.
A minimum of random inaccuracy of the rockets would have been nice, though. Once you figure out one rocket will go up perfectly straight it's too easy to win.
Cool background music, nice drawings. :D
Had to run it with sudo, otherwise I got this: http://pastebin.com/vWsXmvhn
At the beginning it's really awesome, but since it doesn't get harder over time a long run can get somewhat monotonous.
Got a score of 1702. :)

Simple but I really liked it. :D The repetitiveness actually made it kind of challenging to properly read again and again to make sure to stay on track. Incompatible genres indeed but a fun game nevertheless. ^_^
