The graphics are beautiful. Great work!
That was really really really entertaining trying to figure out how to stay on beat. Had a desire to play it all the way through and I did. I would call that a success on your part! Good job
Not sure how to play this on Linux. Here's what I did:
1. download BeatHenshin_Linux.zip
2. run ./BeatHenshin.x86
which resultet in:
error while loading shared libraries: libXcursor.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
@lancelot gao: thanks! Actually it's a stickman with face :p
@Idkfawin32: oh Awesome! Cool that you can 'beat' the game. Hehe
@sirtetris: I haven't try on Linux as well. Thanks for the report! I'll try to investigate it
loved the library problem, got it to run, but the display is kind of gliched https://i.imgur.com/RO2kRil.png
Cool game !
@sirtetris: great! What's your distro btw?
@Marsouin: thanks! Glad you like it :D
Great stuff! Very hard for someone with no rhythm like me, but I guess that should be expected! The game has a great sense of humor to it. Some more detailed instructions would've been nice though. Congrats on your first compo!
the character and poses were really cute, but i wish there was some music to dance along to!
Not really sure what the point of the game was, but I liked the graphics. I just sorta pressed spacebar and got 1 word feedback and a dance motion.
As someone who's used to Rhythm games, I found this really out of time- or perhaps I couldn't figure out how to really play the game? It's cute graphics-wise though.
Hi, nice game ! We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #35.
Can you add your game on www.indiexpo.net ? It's like itch or gjolt.
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description
Fun game, interesting concept, and a little humor to take the cake!
Did not quite understand the goal of the game, even though I was tapping the yellow ones, the grey ones still popped up. Pressing the grey ones didn't punish me either. Still cute though, I like beat games. Maybe there's just some more explanation needed.
I really enjoyed it
Love rhythm games ;p~
It's a bit dificult to stay on rhythm without feedback (like lights flashing or something like that). If you implement a strumbar it should be more easier to predict the exact time to press the button
