Really like the idea of using your enemy as the enemy, it's really cool seeing the rain of bullets/arrows.
The amount of paths and the uncertainty of where the player and enemies would go was quite overwhelming, but It is an interesting concept.
sweet, digging the visuals.
I really like the art. Platforming is a bit awkward sometimes. Like when I land after a hover, it would be good not to instantly jump again. It happened a lot by accident which caused me to jump over the first floating platform. The floating platform should also stay up longer to allow the player to move to the other platforms.
Nice, really like the atmosphere the lighting creates. It would be interesting the see the lights effect on enemies explored further.
As you mentioned it was designed for the controller, but I think if you hid the mouse and had reticule remain at a constant relative position (unless mouse is moved) it would go a long way.
Really digging the atmosphere
Really fun game, little hard to get used to the turning speeds but once I did it worked really well. AI was pretty good. Art was really good and seemed well polished.
The game was pretty cathartic to gun them all down. Especially the large ones. Don't really think the weapon was that unconventional however, it is still basically a gun.
Dashing mechanic is pretty cool but the game is way too hard. Its not quite clear why the enemy sometimes moves faster then slower after a certain amount of 'bounces' off the wall.
Haha loved it, would be awesome if boxes were too heavy to push and if you could forklift the other player.
I liked the idea of crashing into enemies with your super speed, but I found it really hard to react to enemies if they are totally silent. Maybe giving the player more health will allow them to fight back when someone shoots you in the back.
Interesting puzzle game. It would be nice to get better art, more variety of enemies and a few more levels.
Surprised at how much I enjoyed this, really good work, nice one.
So without a doubt my favourite entry yet, this is awesome love the art and the while thing was so addictive. Nice one!
I like the particle effects but I think the turning circle should be a bit smaller.
Haha this is my new stress release
WOW! That was awesome, really liked the mechanics, got way too into making different plays
Really liked the art and while the gameplay was simple it was pretty. I did find the sfx a bit too loud though. Nice one!
Thanks for the feedback guys. We kinda got off to a slow start so we didn't have time for more animations/feedback and we ended entirely removing the stealth aspect of the game we planned i.e you as harold the monster had to manually activate traps without being caught. Which unfortunately was also our lose condition.
@JetSpyDragon I've noticed on the webGL version that the in game UI (score and restart button) don't show up in the embedded version unless you enter full screen (ludum dare's one or the actual player's)
Really annoying bug where you get a massive black square that draws on top of everything, when that's not in the way its pretty cool trying to work out which units to fight with
Damn that top score is insane, I feel 100 may have been a few to many, that said I played through it all and found myself getting quite into it.
Awesome game I love the art! needs easier songs though or needs to be more obvious which drum beats I'm supposed to be hitting
Yes! Yes! Yes! This is so awesome, my favourite game of the jam so far
Worked fine for me, awesome that you had your kids get involved, let them know they did a great job :)
Really inventive use of the theme, great job.
I had a really hard time figuring out what to do, but honestly with how amazing it looked and the music and atmosphere, I was quite happy just wandering around combining things and exploring.
I'd love to see this turned into something more! I was intrigued to find out why the sludge had appeared.
Really impressed with the art in this game and loved the camera shake when shooting. I wish I could shoot the bullets though!
I feel like the two parts of the game, the shooting and collecting letters where a bit disconnected. I don't understand what the benefit was for spelling the word was. Also I think i hit a bug because I was stuck invincible for the entire boss fight.
Overall really well made though!
Wow those snowmen are terrifying! Great little game could do with background music as the sound of wind makes it feel a bit empty.
I really liked the art and music, I think that increasing the base movement speed would help alot. I found myself jumping alot of the time as it felt faster and with it being rougue like it can get quite frustrating having to slowly go through the same content.
I'd like to explore the world a little more, so I think there's definatley something there, good job :)
Pretty damn addictive, a timer for when the logs going to freeze would be awesome. Nice job.
Nice work, love getting the trick shots with the caravan.
Interesting concept. Reminds me of Her Story.
Love this, so much fun. Deserves extra credit as well for being a compo entry. Make sure you grab a friend or two before giving it a go.
Haha love the music, getting proper into the Christmas mood now. nicely implemented, liked the comic style story telling (flame-thrower reindeer are awesome). Great job.
Really liked the visuals, just think that the difficulty curve needs tweaking, it starts to become too easy at the end, all in all nice work though
Really like the colour mechanic, adds a nice twist on a classic mechanic. Well implemented, liked the art and the music (I would of added mood to what your rated on). Only complaint would be that an enemy spawned on me at one point. Awesome work.
I'm really sad because my space bar stopped registering after the first level and I really wanted to hear the cute crate make the noise again. ;u;
I played it very briefly (because it broke) @ 2:09:50 : http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
This was such a cute game! And the music, oh gosh. ♥ There's little I can say other than I loved it.
I played it on my stream @ 1:59:50, but I definitely intend to go back to it in my own time: http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
It felt very Sonic Special-stage-esque which isn't a bad thing. The graphics are simple but they work, and the tutorial with the level is really well-understood. Unfortunatley I had a bit of trouble with getting into certain crevices, plus I grew a hatred of our 'friends' as they bounced me elsewhere like a purple pleb.
I played it in my stream last night @ 1:02:05 : http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
This was definitely quite fun, although it hurt my eyes a little too much to play for too long.
This was such a strange game, but as an artist I really appreciated how weird it was visually. I had a hard time understanding what was actually happening, but as a gamer since childhood I followed my natural instinct to collect the dots.
I completed it on stream @ 1:51:51: http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
This was one of those games in the lot that I legitimately enjoyed playing, and I'll play again in the future. I did spend most of my time as the ship, but mainly because I couldn't figure the perks of the robot (and I'm impatient and like the fast lane).
I played it briefly @ 2:17:50 : http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
Felt a little too hard, but with a bit of work it could be a really promising bullet hell.
I played this briefly on stream @ 1:22:30: http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
I didn't have a whole lot of time to play point and clicks on stream last night, but I plan on going back to this in the future. I want to know the narrative as I love the quite creepy almost chimera-like plotline.

As someone who's used to Rhythm games, I found this really out of time- or perhaps I couldn't figure out how to really play the game? It's cute graphics-wise though.
This one took my eye when I was downloading all the games ready to play, simply for how polished it looked. Both my partner and I were eager to play your two player modes and were surprised with how much variety there was too. We were extremely (and pleasantly) surprised when we checked the credits and it wasn't all stock models either.
Actual gameplay-wise it felt a little dull though. Almost like a generic PC game that ended up on the 'Sold Out' series of re-releases. The flight mechanics are fine and the ring chasing it good but we couldn't tell if it had an end? The spinning temple was a great touch though!
My partner and I played it on stream @ 38:00 : http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
I really, really like the idea of this game. As someone who was addicted to 'Tetris', this feels like it could have been an alternative mode on a compilation version, or that one good attempted rip-off on a bootleg 'all-in-one' console that could have stood on its own.
Definitely needs a graphical overhaul however as it's not exactly pretty to look at, plus some sound overall. It might translate quite nicely over to mobile if it had that too; I mean, I know I'd like to play it on the go!
I played it on my stream @ 1:08:30 : http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
I actually quite liked the controls, though it did take me a while to get used to them and my poor desk suffered with how much I needed to move the mouse. The graphics are really stylistic and feel like a game from the hay-day, which I love.
As you know, I played it in my stream from 5:35: http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
I couldn't actually find the file to start the game. 8<
In a booming voice only: JOHN WIZARD.
I didn't have time to play this properly when I was playing it on stream, but I'm definitely coming back to this because I want to know what happened to the dog. 8>
Played briefly on stream @ 2:23:15 : http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
I think if I really put my mind to this one I could beat it, but I lost interest pretty quickly. At one point it basically became a 3D bullet hell, which wasn't what it was in the beginning.
Played briefly on stream @ 3:13:08 : http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
I had so much fun with this one and absoloutley loved the gameplay. Perhaps it might need better graphics- although a part of that is the charm- and I found myself copying the brilliant razor sound.
It definitely needs an option to make the razor shaving area larger though as I spent most of my time trying to perfectionistly get all the little bits off.
I played it briefly on stream @ I:25:05: http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
It was very Metal Gear Solid. I'm not a huge fan of stealth games so I wasn't great at it, but it definitely worked well.
Aaaa I'm losing it over how cute this is! It's a pretty generic runner, but visually and sound-wise I'm addicted. Especially with the character design.
- Alice (the artist)
I can only really judge the art and narrative because mine bugged out, but I've seen you play it when it was being made so I know for certain it worked once upon a time.
Art style looked like it popped straight out of a children's book and the pattern texture just made it look so fantastic. Using the old legends of [insert accent here] KERNOW, it's giving me a very south-west version of a CartoonSaloon animation, which is never a bad thing.
As you know, I played it on stream @ 55:50: http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
First off I'll start by saying this isn't my kind of game. I played a lot of games similar to this when I was a kid flicking through PS1 demo disks, and I was never a fan. But I could and can appreciate the game you've made, since it's definitely solid and I encountered no bugs.
The shifting gameplay is really quite fun, although the actual designs of the mech don't really symbolize what they were very well, I.E. I took ages to realize which was the flying one and what the wall-climber one did.
I played it briefly on stream @ 1:30:45 : http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
I made a ship on the front, but none of the buttons would click to play.
My question for this game: Is this memes?
Played it briefly on stream @ 2:12:16 : http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
I didn't play through it much since I got the gist pretty quick, but I'll probably come back to this later to find out what the meaning of life is.
However this was more possession than shapeshifting.
Played very briefly @ 2:35:07 : http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
I actually quit out of this one simply because I died and the checkpoints were too far away. As someone in my stream chat said: they're really unforgiving since they can only be used once.
The design and idea of it is good though and I do wish I knew how the story finished.
I played it on stream @ 1:34:50 : http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
The main character is a douchebag. Couldn't actually get out of the room but I didn't have the time to think about it too much on stream. The music was creepy and the idea of completing the puzzles definitely seems satisfying!
Played briefly on stream @ 3:07:20 : http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
I literally couldn't figure this out without looking at the instructions on this page, and the game started so suddenly that is frustrated and flustered me. It gave me some trouble getting out of it though.
Best bits were definitely the graphics and narrative humour! I found myself laughing more than once. I lost interest pretty quick though when I couldn't figure out what to do, and the noise of the skull talking was hurting my ears.
It definitely needs to be polished for a start; there were a lot of bugs and the placement felt a little off/dodgy, as well as the bouncing of the shapes. Past that though it looks quite good and feel very similar to old game layouts like 'Tetris Worlds' and the sort. Very nice. Perhaps add a splash of colour to the blocks?
Played on stream from 21:30: http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
There was so much going on that I had no clue which one I was or what did what to be honest. But the wackiness of it was fantastic and I definitely smiled.~
I played it briefly on stream @ 2:07:09 : http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
Very fun and interestingly designed bullet-hell. It was nice that I had to put thought into it to time when to attack the enemies. It was a little too difficult in my eyes however, only making it to 26%. Might be worth putting in multiple difficulties?
I played it on stream @ 1:18:15 : http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
SUMOOOOO SHAPE SHIFFTERRRSSS.
Your voice acting skills surpass those of Troy Baker, and your art skills surpass those of legendary artist Alice 'Buttons' Kensington. obviously. not joking here.
The voicing and humour really does take the cake overall though. The game itself is very slippery and almost unplayable but it counts for some laughs between it.
There's some feedback from Will too I think when we played your game on stream @ 29:35: http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
This was a lovely little game, though it would have been nice if it were longer as it ended quite abruptly. The mood was lovely and the gameplay was fun however, and I enjoyed playing it.

I won't lie, I got bored quite quickly. But I liked the style and the chicken shifting terrified me.

An extremely catchy little game, though a little untrustworthy of the developer with there only being ONE LEVEL (gasp). I'd absolutely adore this as a mobile app, but I'm also one of those people that'll go for gold on anything (and achieve it, yo).
Played it in my stream @ 12:50: http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
As I said on stream, I found it extremely easy, but I'm also at a higher level with visual puzzles. But like I said, this is a really solid game and if you ever make an improved version with more puzzles I'll be happy to test it.
10/10 Could be a tree
Played @ 2:44:50 : http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443
First off, the style is adorable! It gives off a 'Sanrio' vibe which is brilliant for the kid's game sort that you want. (the character would make for great merch. too)
The game is very basic and has some layout issues (it would look better centered, personally) but for a child this would be a fun little time-waster. I know I was addicted to match 2 when I was a kid.
The overall mood of the game was absolutely lovely too. The music was relaxing and reminded me of games like Ragnarok Online or towns in JMMORPGs.
I personally couldn't get the shapeshifting element of it- I had to check if this was an entry to the previous LD for 'Growing'- but overall it's so cute!
- Alice (the artist)
Definitely a fun little runner game and the minimalistic sprite graphics I loved! Although certain parts clipped a bit too much which made a few jumps a bit too awkward. Not to mention the checkpoints are quite far away in certain harder areas, which ultimately led to me quitting.
I lasted about 5 minutes and then had flashbacks to the 90s where we were forced to do the chicken dance every 10 minutes at school discos. 10/10 - IGN
This one was easily one of the most innovative so far. I love the idea of it and I'll be playing this more in the future.

For some reason I had it in my head that this was an Etch-a-Sketch until I started playing, then realized it was a Game-And-Watchesque console haha.
The gameplay was fun but a little too hard for me. I think I found a couple glitches too, but hey they helped me beat the level. ;D
And we played your game on stream: https://www.twitch.tv/cantgetourname/v/89523218
As usual with you the aesthetic is unique and gorgeous. I'm digging the cutout style. The gameplay was simple and exploratory, but sadly I lost track of what I was meant to be doing by the end of it and couldn't complete it. :(

A fun little game, although quite hard to remember what to do with everything so the reference guide is definitely needed. It feels like it would be one of those games that if you played it long enough you could master.
It broke pretty easy if you quickly gave the game the same thing over and over. 10/10 would break the game with fat doobs and hugs from mum again.

I didn't even complete a sword (mainly because I got to a certain point and couldn't figure it out) but I still had an amazing amount of fun just breaking everything apart and bouncing around the place.
It has a very Job Simulator vibe to it, and if given more to do and put on VR I think it could be a brilliant addition to that category of games.
also the music was perfect.

Also I am in love with that adorable crab.

A lovely little sandbox game, but definitely needs an accessible tutorial/guidebook in games. I'd also suggest having the cheat button be a bit harder to get to, as I accidentally clicked it and decided to just mess around with it from there.
Fell in love with the bunny statues. I hope you do more with this.~

I was getting through the games I'd downloaded for stream quite quickly, having fun but getting to their limits... and then I reached The Forgotten Day. Next thing you know I'd spent 25 minutes playing it.
Very addictive. A little too hard for me in my opinion, but the design and challenge of it kept me going. I might have to go back to it just in case there's something rewarding for beating all the totems.~

This is nice and self-challenging for a game jam game, so the replayability is really good. The only thing that made me not want to replay is the noise the hammer makes is a little startling.
We played your game on stream too, which you can view in here: https://www.twitch.tv/cantgetourname/v/87128748
Both Matt and myself individually selected this one for me to play which was a good start in itself. Visually gorgeous, calming music, and a really interesting mechanic.
As I said in stream (which you can watch here: https://www.twitch.tv/cantgetourname/v/88815811 ) once I realized stuff was appearing, I started to get a little... freaked out in a way. It would make a brilliant psychological horror game.
One of the funniest games I've played so far this Jam. Rest in Peace Blockbuster, you'll always be remembered through Mockbuster.
I agree with Alkrimil that upgrades would be nice, and also adding on that speeding it up would be a nice addition as it feels a bit /too/ slow.
denied a man pepe, would play again.

I'm really sad because the game didn't work for me. :( The arrow keys wouldn't move the soldier. But I can get the concept of the game from what I saw, and I do like the simple guarding concept! And the pixel art is super nice.

As the company's artist, I fell head over heels for this game and its old-school Disney cartoon feel. The game mechanic itself is simple but fun, but honestly the animation, music, design, just... pretty certain if we had the rating system this LD, you'd have first.
Also I would kill for a figure of Katz.
We played your game on stream too: https://www.twitch.tv/cantgetourname/v/89523218
Out of all of the games I've played this Jam, this has been the most polished so far. It ran perfectly fine for me, the music was so catchy and fitting for the game's aesthetic, and the gameplay itself was an extremely fun take on tower defence.
The only downside is it might need a bit of balancing? It feels like you can get really far by just speeding it up and putting down smite pillars.
We played your game on stream, which you can view here: https://www.twitch.tv/cantgetourname/v/87134400
The whole thing looks fantastic, but the mechanic was a little awkward to work with. I couldn't entirely figure out what it was meant to do, but it was hilarious to watch.

For the love of god and all things holy, turn this into an experience/landscape for the Vive. There's something about this that feels like it would fit so well, and the paint-y landscape and huge world feel of it just seems perfect for the situation.
As a Gmaejam game, I loved it. The mechanics were pretty simple albeit challenging, and it would just gorgeous to play.

A really innovative battle system that I would love to see in a bigger RPG with a little balancing work added. Fire-guy basically won the entire battle every time because of how OP he was.
Sadly it did get a bit repetitive, but I've personally never been a fun of random encounters, so it may just be me.

Visually appealing, but extremely short. It felt more like a test animation than a game, but it's definitely got potential. If you're going to end it so suddenly, perhaps add a little something to tell the player that, since the restart button didn't quite drive it home for me sadly.

I'd love to know what I did wrong.
I'm kind of sad I didn't get the hang of this one, but the fact you made this all from scratch is brilliant in itself. Perhaps a few less holes in the floor? It was quite hard concentrating on both killing aliens and not falling.

I had a bit of trouble with this one since the buttons weren't that visable on my screen. Luckily my stream pointed some of them out to me, although we found nothing on the second level.
The graphics are beautiful and the mechanic is really unique and testing; a bit of music and perhaps making the buttons a little more visible would be fantastic.

As a resident rhythm game player, I was pleasantly surprised when this turned out to be one. Took a while to get used to the chosen keys, but once it all set in it was nice and challenging and the beat was great.
Only thing I had trouble with was my twitchy fingers in between notes caused me to die a lot whoops.

I chose this one from the game list because of its style, which overall was- even when playing it- the reason I was totally okay continuing to play it, even through the really slow walking pace. The puzzle aspects were simple but made for a really nice exploring experience.
Definitely needs a run option though; it was frustrating walking so slowly from place to place.

This game. This game. ♥ It felt so much like I playing an old platformer from my childhood, reminding me of the days I sat on the sofa as a kid on my Gameboy Colour. It was an absolute delight to play, from the narration to the tiny old-school cues such as cracks in the walls meaning secrets, etc.
The highlight for me though was the character design. Very 2000s gaming mascots/cartoon design.
I did however cause it to crash during streaming it. We played it over on twitch which you can see here (https://www.twitch.tv/cantgetourname/v/88809110) and here (https://www.twitch.tv/cantgetourname/v/88815811). Sorry for the two parts, had to take an emergency break.~
Artistically fabulous (shoutout to emmy) and very interesting take on Match 2+. I think it would be nice if you could cancel out of the moves though, to save time.

Very artistic game, absolutely adored the unique take on the UI. Sadly I didn't have a second person to play with and had to quite pretty early.
We played your game on stream though:

Great art, but sadly I couldn't even figure out how to play it. Sorry. :(

It has been a long time since I've raged so hard about a game. Visually solid but oh my gooood I hate you right now. ;u; I do however want to marry the screen transistion effect.
I played your game on stream for a bit too (sorry about all the non-related chatter on top): https://www.twitch.tv/cantgetourname/v/89524937
Both myself and my chat were comparing this to low-poly Shadow of the Colossus, and that was not at all a bad thing. The scale of the sentinal was terrifying but it just added to an overall great atmosphere.

Sadly I was only able to play 1-player keyboard mode, but this was a super cool game. It felt very nostalgic to me and I can't pin-point why (may have been the pacman-esque gameplay). The only trouble I had with it was that the Mummy was way too fast; maybe if it couldn't smash doors, it would be more of an 'outsmart the mummy' tactical game?

Thanks to anyone who checks this out, the idea was to kinda remove tech, sort of like basic farming being the oldest (I think) technology.I wanted to make it like a diorama and be a simplification of a survival game (And I don't mean not finishing it ;) ). Well I'll try ang upload WebGL, OSX and Linux builds tomorrow, plus reply to comments etc. Hope you enjoy, cheers.
@BrainyBeard Welcome to the real world. I kid, there's not a huge amount of gameplay to explore, so I thought I'd try and keep runs of it short. I recommend playing round with prioritising certain lives over others to survive for longer
I had a lot of trouble with this one, but it definitely felt like it had a lot of potential.
We streamed it earlier if you'd like a more indepth thought on the game: https://www.twitch.tv/cantgetourname/v/89524937
I loved the mixture of pixels and a sort of pseudo pixel-illustrated art style. The level design was extremely pretty also.
Sadly I couldn't get past the first puzzle because all the items got stacked on top of each other and wouldn't seperate. :(
I'm going to give it another shot in my spare time, but until then I streamed it on twitch, which you can view here: https://www.twitch.tv/cantgetourname/v/87134400
Please tell me the music is available everywhere? The way it started unleashed a lot of hype for the gameplay.
The main character's design is so cute too! I have a lot of love for this.

I'm not ashamed to say that I got addicted and subjected our twitch stream to around 20+ minutes of trying to beat the high score. Upsettingly I only got close, but considering how much I played it I'd definitely say it was a success.
If it had background music, I'd say it would be perfect. The customization options were my favourite too.

Albeit not a game, it was super fun to play around with. The aesthetic and naming of the whole thing was b e a u t i f u l.
We played it on stream which you can see here: https://www.twitch.tv/cantgetourname/v/88815811
The design was the first thing that I fell in love with, followed shortly by the music and the character design. The gameplay was great, but I feel with a scoreboard it could be extremely addictive.
The ending made me a little sad. ;-; I didn't want to die.
Please tell me there's a link to the music somewhere? I'd love to have that as a download.

Lovely illustrations and a fun little sailing game, although it became pretty awkward when you had to go against the wind. The monster designs are so cute too!

My machine started making a loud humming noise the other day; I hit it and it stopped. 10/10 would hit technology again.

As you witnessed on stream I got really confused as to what was even going on. But the style of the game was super chaotic and I kinda liked it! The sketchy style looked really good too (wow scott i complimented your art ;D )

I loved the mechanics and how simple yet hard it was to defeat the final level. It all worked out really well.

I fell in love with the acid-esque graphics.

Cats. More Cats.
It took me a while to figure what everything meant, but when I got into it it was an enjoyable little clicker game! I'm personally a bit of a clicker addict on mobile, so I really enjoyed it. The humour absolutely made the game.

One of the single most impressive concepts I've played for a Ludum Dare. And I say that because as an experience, it was just fantastically interactive, original, and totally enjoyable. I was streaming at the time of playing and everyone in chat lost it at how cool it was too.

I really liked the visual style, unfortunately I was having an issue with firing, initially it did not work at all (shooting that is), after exiting full screen and going back in I got some luck, but it wasn't consistent. Double checked I had enough ammo and still not working all the time. I was playing on windows 10 in chrome on the WebGl version if that's any help.
This is one of my favourite entries, really simple mechanic, but really well done. The difficulty curve was just right and the game has that great addictive nature to it
The installer was a little bit annoying, but the game itself was really cute and I loved the humour.
I wish I could've gotten further but it just kept crashing when I checked the bed at night. :(
An interesting take! Definitely needs more polish on the graphics side, but I loved the little eggs in hats.
The pulling towards you was a bit jarring with the red and green lines, and stuff didn't seem to die even when struck making it quite hard though.
As someone who barely just hits room scale, this caused me to constantly go outside my boundries even with teleporter. ;-; But I did get it working! It was very lovely and atmospheric.
I couldn't quite figure out the gameplay, mainly that I couldn't figure how to actually make things grow. They were over time, but sadly I was low on time so I couldn't wait for them.
I kind of just wanted to relax on the balcony it was so calming.
I quote my friend from behind me 'I've been to networking events and that's pretty much what it's like' and I too agree.
I love the Rick&Morty-esque humour and voice acting- reminded me a lot of a lower budget AccountingVR.
I also lost it at 'Art'. As artist on our team, I can verify that that is in fact art.
5 star on the audio for that voice acting alone :) It's pretty fun finding the all the interactions, though I couldn't get all the grannies out :(
First project! Damn awesome job, loved the art style and always respect tackling narrative in a game jam. I look forward to seeing more from you guys, keep up the good work :)
Visually well put together, I liked the mechanic and I was really enjoying the time attack mode
Cool little idea, I like the interface, seems like it could be a cool tool for teaching kids logic puzzles etc.
Very very cool, especially considering its 72 hours with narrative and choices. It did however further my hate of ladders, but it was nice to play a very well rounded experience
The Heemst themselves were adorable! The noises were adorable and they were visually huggable.
Unfortunately the game itself felt a bit lacking? The initial idea is there and would be a fun mini game with a bit of fine tuning, but I kept getting broken bits like it giving me 'X' and 'Y' instead of number on the overview, the bounce physics being a bit too much, and the night time went on for way too long.
I started dancing to the music and getting my Animal Crossing on in VR and it felt amazing! I loved the music, but I sadly didn't understand what you were meant to do.
But I spent the entire time trying to make a really pretty room until I ran out of cash and it's still one of my favourite LD37 games! Please release an infinite money sandbox mode. ♥
Cool concept. like alex said the controls take a little bit of getting used to, but apart from that it's a really cool little experience
Love the style, I must confess I didn't complete all 10 turns so my only complaint would be to add like a speed mode or quick challenge
I love the visuals and the presentation is fantastic, the gameplay seems like it would work really well for mobile and I could easily see this on the app/play store. My only suggestion would be to make it clearer when and why you should use abilities, it felt a little like I was watching more than playing. All in all it feels super polished though, especially considering its made in 72 hours. Great job!
That was a bit of a psychology trip. I really didn't expect that, and the 'everydayness' luls you into a sense of false safety.
Brilliant! Although there were a few typos and I'd like to see it with better graphics, it was amazing.
I love this, I was being a bit stupid and not reading the instructions, then I accidentally rotated the room/section, such a cool moment. I did find the controls a little difficult with regards to the camera, I would of liked E and Q to be up and down. Great job though!
nice, it's like Reigns, but biblical. Some funny stuff in here, I really liked the presentation
Loving the sprites and the idea, but I was having trouble figuring it out, and I'd already read the description of the entry. Also I got an elf stuck on a wall.
I like the idea of having the game be more than just entertainment and taking a look at a serious issue a number of people face. I do not know too much about anxiety (serious anxiety) myself, though I think you need to be careful that it doesn't oversimplify the issue. That said, I think it's commendable to look at the issue and deserves a lot of respect.
This is a super nice presentation, I loved the interface and the core loop was enjoyable. I'd like to see this expanded upon. Great job!
This my nightmare came true, feels nice to get some revenge. I really like the animation on the main character
I didn't read anything, just jumped straight into the game, I'm like cool its just another shooter, do i dodge the white pixels. Then I saw a mound (with my enemy's remains in it) and it dawned on me that it was snow and the building up, then when I realised I could fire my enemy remains, as well I need "ammo" below me, it was really awesome how it all came together.
The art attracted me to this and I walked into it knowing it was visual novel by a glance... but the story just didn't do it for me.
The narrator was far too forceful that it took a lot of imagination out of it and felt a little unwelcoming, and some of the jokes felt like they were trying to hit home but missing. The characters themselves need a little work- I mean they were pretty okay about being trapped in a room, minus that one little 'oh no' moment. The overall plot felt like it was taking itself way too seriously for what it was too, and it didn't make enough sense for that to work out.
It has a lot of potential but with a visual novel writing is more important than the art, so if you don't home run with it it's a bit awkward and boring to the reader.
Loved the character design though! Pink haired lady had top fashion sense.
Thanks for the feedback, you actually were understanding what incompatible meant, unfortunately our code wasn't (Whoops!), added a quick fix for it, thanks for the heads up.
Did it within the first few then failed to get anything to land again because I suck and it was totally a fluke ;u;
Then found the rave bottle and proceeded to have a bottle rave, as you do.
They felt a little TOO weighted, but pretty close on actually. Wish there were more SFX bottles!
Ha this is awesome, loved the initial setup and then the presentation of the main game was great as well. My only complaint was that I couldn't seem to miss, that said scoring a last second 3-pointer for the win is a sweet feeling.
Nice little game and liked that it's a complete package that doesn't overstay it's welcome
I really like the visuals, though I was having some issues with controls, most the time it was OK, but occasionally the fire buttons (arrows) didn't seem to respond. Apart from that I loved the atmosphere and for the most part gameplay seemed tight.
Would be nice to have some feedback for which minion I have selected. I like the idea, would be nice to have some more enemies and types to fight against
For a 3gb+ game there was very little to do, but it looked appealing visually and the story idea was nice. I'd perhaps suggest a different font for the paper since it stuck out a bit weirdly, plus some music for atmosphere maybe?
Weirdly this also started up my steam VR and wouldn't run without it open, even though it isn't VR. I was a tad confused.
