No Mario's Sky by eigenbom 2016-09-09T01:03:00

Cool game. Topical and funny, with cool procedurally generated Mario levels. I'm not sure how it ties into the theme beyond Mario being an old video game. One small quip I have is that the controls feel very difficult and I find myself dying a lot more often than I feel would happen in an actual Mario game. Also, I wasn't sure if there was an end to the game, but then again, I suppose you could say the same about No Man's Sky.

ANTIHERO SLOT by volando 2016-09-01T19:28:00

Hey, your download link might be broken. The windows download link gives only the .exe file when it needs a "Data" folder as well.

Psychic Squid by Mottafier 2016-09-03T05:31:00

Fun game, the mechanics were super satisfying, especially in the one puzzle where you just move a ton of blocks around. Overall, I had a lot of fun, and it was a great standalone experience. The puzzles were challenging, but not unfair meaning it was just the right amount of difficulty. The tie in with the theme and the whole telekinetic squid thing was a bit random, but let's face it, it's a game jam and you can make whatever story you want, even if it stars a blue squid that can move things with its mind.

All in all, great game, lots of fun, good satisfying challenges, nice art. Loved it.

The Polaroid by dissonent 2016-09-01T09:18:00

You have to hold the photo up and take the picture, like in the example photo. If you fail, there are clues in the scene to help you out.

The Polaroid by dissonent 2016-09-01T18:47:00

@tmpxyz : what @JK5000 said is right. Objects you do need for the photo will show up in white silhouettes if you placed them wrong. Objects you don't particularly need for the photo won't have a silhouette when you take the photo. Sometimes, objects you think you need, may appear after the photo.

Glutenburg by Ebriosus 2016-09-01T06:25:00

I love the art, it's so cute. However, I felt the gameplay was needlessly complicated. Often times I found myself simply waiting for the ink and in the end I just gave up after needing to make 13 blue plates and only having blue ink come up 1/3 of the time.

I reaaaaally love the art though, it's super cute.

Glutenburg by Ebriosus 2016-09-01T06:29:00

On my second attempt, I had to get 18 blue text plates, meaning I had to wait for 72 blue inks to show up with (I think) only 3 available pies.

Very interesting art style with the ascii art. I have no clue how the heck you managed to do that but the art itself is very very impressive. Good work!

Grampy Katz in: The Big Date by MeowzaGames 2016-09-09T01:05:00

I absolutely love the art. It has a very old Disney feel with all the wavy movement and was just perfect. I just enjoyed watching the characters move and walk around in and of itself. Gameplay wise I think it's a little bland and short, but a short game is to be expected in a game jam.

Final words: I love the art! Beautiful game!

Almanac by Tooichi 2016-09-01T19:17:00

Hey, I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to do. I placed various stickers on various dates and waited for the day to see what would happen, and I'm not sure if I missed something happening or not.

Also I'm not sure what to do with the sudoku-esque game. Am I just bad at this, because if I understand sudoku correctly, I'm not supposed to have multiples of the same number in each row and column, but I couldn't do this in your sudoku game no matter how hard I tried.

Perhaps a tutorial would be useful, or some sort of text description of what to do in your description?

Endeavour by ErikU 2016-09-01T06:41:00

I absolutely love this game's mechanics. I'm sure this is how old text games back in the day must have been, but I had never experienced this myself, so this was definitely unique to me. I also love the humor in the story. Good work!

Too Late by alfie275 2016-09-01T19:38:00

Cool atmosphere. The music was perfect in setting the creepy tone of the game. I wish there was some sort of hint in game to direct where I was supposed to go. I'm a sucker for thought-provoking scenery, so the first thing I did was go inspect all the giant squares, but that ended up being a dead end. I eventually found the ending, but not after spending ten minutes walking aimlessly.

Overall, I say you nailed it on atmosphere. It could use a little more content beyond walking around though, and ultimately, despite being creepy, there didn't feel like any danger was coming, or came.

MistIslands by tmpxyz 2016-09-01T06:51:00

Very interesting survival game. Super simple and easy to understand, I can see people playing it for hours. Good work!

Pest by alpha_rats 2016-09-01T19:24:00

Hey, I'm lost on what I'm supposed to do in your game. I ended up pressing the various buttons but nothing seemed to happen other than getting a couple more negative side effects coming. Perhaps a tutorial might be good, or perhaps a text explanation in your game's description?

On the other hand, I really like the visuals and audio. The whole screen moving and tilting with sound cues was really cool and innovative.

Yet Another Cat In a Pyramid by daveh 2016-09-01T19:12:00

I love the cat. It really reminds me of Looney Toons. The game is interesting, but could use some more content. Assuming I successfully reached the end, the puzzle was unfortunately, relatively easy to solve.

You did make clarity exceedingly well though, there wasn't a moment I died where I thought I died without any real warning, and the puzzle was clear enough to understand. Clarity is often something people struggle with in puzzle games and games with traps, but you got it down in this game.

Keep up the good work!

Time Climb by Abrexas 2016-09-01T06:09:00

Interesting game. I felt the controls were a bit frustrating. Not having air control meant that a lot of jumps were super difficult to do.

I also got stuck on the triceratops and couldn't get past it no matter how hard I tried. Having the triceratops AI follow the player 100% of time might be a little to simple. His AI meant that jumping over him was impossible, and running back just delays your death. My last option is to stand my ground and hope I don't die.

Sprite Warrior by monkeybit29 2016-09-01T06:15:00

Very interesting art choice, mixing 2D sprite art in a 3D environment. I like the sound effects for both the spear and the club, which gave a very satisfying feel to hitting enemies.

One bit of nitpicking is that sometimes I'd click and the cursor would hit a pillar or object in the foreground. I'm willing to guess that it's because the Line Trace wasn't set to ignore the pillars.

Melthain by RttStudio 2016-09-01T07:00:00

The concept is really cool, but like many other said, the controls could use some work. With some fine tuning of the controls, I could see this being a game where it just keeps getting better the more you practice and the better you get at controlling each of your 4 chosen characters.

Keep working on it, the concept's got potential, but as many said, the execution could use some work.
