I want to experience more of that Paris! It's definitely very cute and calming to play with. Loved the sounds too. :)

I want to experience more of that Paris! It's definitely very cute and calming to play with. Loved the sounds too. :)
Took me forever to discover the carpet but I really enjoyed playing this and would love to know more about these characters!
This game was a bit too difficult for me to finish but I really liked its atmosphere and innovative gameplay! At first I found the camera strangely wobbly but quickly got used to it. Love the choice of 2.5D btw!
I managed to "win" on my second round (I didn't want to give up)! 8 posts might be a bit too much for a single player though, since it takes a while to get across the screen to tweak the directions. It's also very likely more fun with more players (as intended). But I do like the concept!
That was an interesting experience! I wasn't sure what to expect at first but after some grappling with the controls I managed to slowly get the hang of it and enjoy playing it. Still some trouble with getting the power ups but it's a great game!
I tried to "get" it but I'm sorry to say that I didn't in the end. Not entirely at least (but I did manage to get some items after a while). It seems like an interesting idea but I need more handholding to get most out of it I'm afraid. :) But I think you did very well considering how little time you had to make it!
Wow, I'm seriously impressed by how much content there is in this game even if you say it's not completed.. I think it's a feat. Sure it's easy and perhaps could've had a steeper learning curve/progression but it's very polished and looks great! The sprites were absolutely adorable.
This was brilliant! Sadly there were some things I've missed along the way (I wanted to go back to read those tid-bits and such) but it was a great and engrossing experience. Very atmospheric.
Woah, this was wonderful even if a bit short-lived experience! I slightly missed the ability to walk or interact with something though so for a while I felt a bit "stuck" and unsure whether I was supposed to do something or not. Still, great execution (lovely style)!
That font is rather disturbingly organic but clearly well in touch with the game! Lots of fun. (I couldn't help but giggle and that made focusing on the combos more challenging, haha). Also, the sound effects are brilliant. I hope the poor guy will find permanent motivation!
Loved the style of this game, especially the main character! Was a bit of a tough cookie at first but I did beat it (though I'm not sure I saw the shapeshifting take place.. the boss died quickly). Great job though!
At first I bugged myself out before I got to try sculpting anything but the second round went much better. I still didn't feel like I had much control but I think if you continue polishing this concept it could become a great zen game! Btw, I really liked the colour pallette you used, the clouds are very pretty.
@Everyone Thank you so much for the comments! You've all veen very kind to me, haha. I hope I'm able to learn many more things before the next LD so I can up my game dev'ing a little. So excited already! :D
@Alice (the artist) at QuestionableQuality
I'm glad you liked it! Sanrio is a big compliment to me. I do have a weakness for cute (& chubby) things (& Ragnarok Online). I'm sorry for the layout issues, it's certainly supposed to be centered. I think I will eventually manage to fix that.
I see! I actually wasn't aware of the past theme(s). You're totally right, "growing" would've suited this one much better since it only has growing sprites for the cacti. For some reason I didn't think about using werewolves or demons but I should've!
@Alphish Ooh. Thank you for pointing that out! Didn't know that at all. The link should be fixed now. :) As for the variables, they are pretty intimidating since I'm much more of a hobbyist artist but I'll keep at it. Maybe eventually I might level up enough to try the C languages..!
Wonderfully polished game (on many levels!) with a great feeling and cuteness factor. Played it till level 14 but I might come back to it later! It would work really awesome on a handheld device I think. Oh, and it was fun to see the credits order change!
Lovely intro and art in general is very charming! I was just missing the audio a bit. I also must say that I was unable to finish the game though.. I wanted to see it through but it was slightly too buggy for me to continue. If you could fix those somehow I'm sure this game would improve greatly! :)
In those games that it's possible to, playing around with the character creation settings is one of my very favourite things so it's probably no wonder that I really enjoyed this! I would love a full game.
Great stuff! I can happily inform it had kept me occupied all evening, haha! :) I really enjoyed the progressive system in it and the ability to just leave it running in the background once I had enough workers. To top it off it had a really nice atmosphere; I almost felt like an alchemist working on a Philosopher's Stone.
Hi! The witchy theme lured me in. :)
You got a nice style going, I especially liked the way you drew the characters' faces and hair. And for a LD entry, the writing certainly wasn't bad either.
I didn't have any trouble with the puzzles but I kind of missed more flavor text about the objects that were relevant (I kept hoping there would be something more to the signs near the ceiling). Overall, I think this was a nice little game, though the lack of music and sound effects was quite pronounced so I hope you might add some next time.
Keep up the good work!
Hi and thank you for considering our little game for the video! I've now added it on the site. :) Right now it's download only (will add browser one asap.)
@kfischer_okarin
We're hoping to release a post-jam version at some point in the future to address at least some of the issues you talk about. For example, one of our initial ideas was to implement power-ups in form of glyphs that would give speed boosts and a bit more control of the ball while it's in the air so we'll definitely do that (and hopefully more) once we're a bit less green.
Thank you very much for the feedback and we're also very happy to hear you liked the game! :)
Looks simple enough but certainly succeeded in conveying the feeling of stress! I too feel sorry for telephone operators in that day.. I would've loved to listen in on calls though! I liked the design (the little hearts indicating happily connected people in particular) and quite enjoyed the challenge. Seems to play smoothly, too.
Thank you for making this game!
