Hey team,
I just want to say this game is amazing. Very good job on it.
I love the style and game play.
This one is ideal for mobile and hope that you can take it further.
Good luck.

Fucking the worst game ever made! In map 331 the enemies just float up to the staircase even though it's obviously one level above! Okay of course I'm just pulling your wieners, right but for real this game is insanely well done and the amount of polish is absolutely astonishing! The fact that you made this within 72 hours (even if some stuff was premade) amazes me so much. Very, very good job guys and for gods sake just put it on a phone right now so you can earn a bit of well deserved moneeey. 11/10.

teamballshui 2016-08-30 15:43

The amount of content is really impressive if you did all of this in just 72h. Obviously block placement is a little bit buggy, you can place block inside existing ones and so on. Also love the art style and music.

Smooth gameplay and maaaan the enemy's art style. Love them. Also it really fits together with the sound.

I love TD games and this one is going to be my favorite for some time for sure! And infinite procedure levels will sure make it last longer :)
Really good one, seriously. I love how you made 3rd dimension work here. Art and style are perfect too.

From the artwork it's quite clear that the game is very professionally made. Quite a fun way to spend some time.

A couple of things I noticed though:
- sometimes when I clicked on the bottom bar containing weapons the entire bar was dragged, not just the weapon, which didn't seem useful;
- after a while, the game basically plays itself and at about wave 13 there were suddenly so many enemies that it was almost impossible to get rid of them, so there's some room for improvement.

I clicked until my arm got sore to see how many levels there are. They must be randomly generated!

Highly impressed at the level of polish here. Hats off. My one complaint is the difficulty curve, which is very understandable for the time constraints. Left for about 10 minutes with sweet setup and came back with 19 000 gold!

Amazing game, I enjoyed every bit of it. The art was good, it was bug-free as far as I could tell, and the sound and animations were great as well. Btw, how did you manage to pull off such a fine job when you created so MANY maps??! I stopped counting at 1200, but really? Anyways, amazing game, guys! :)

ciaodavinci 2016-09-01 02:12

Cool game!
- sometimes the attack animations would overlap into other models.
- it felt like the flat 2d for the little coineys didn't work with the rest of the game's approach to 3d
- I wanted a more structured way of experiencing the levels.
there wasn't any sense of completion in my playthrough.

I had fun though, great job!

flygamer101 2016-09-01 11:39

This was a great game put together :D The art was very nice, and you could tell the amount of time put together in it. Damm this was a very polished and fun game!

thegunmaster 2016-09-01 12:21

Man, this was one awesome game. It was a lot of mindless fun. pretty good looking too!

jk5000 2016-09-01 12:43

A very fun and super chaotic tower deference game. Really great music and graphics. I would like a goal for the levels, then when you win in one level, you go to the next a bit harder lever. But overall well done.

hippolyta 2016-09-01 13:21

A very fun game with astounding polish. Some animations clip (the arms of the big fellas in the first level clip with the stairs, as an example), but that's really a minor concern, considering how "ready" the rest of the game looks.

panicthefirst 2016-09-01 14:15

That's an awesome game! One of my favourites until now! I really liked that you can build new places to put towers on. Graphics an music are very nice. Love it, good job. :)

juaxix 2016-09-01 14:47

Man. I love this game.
I'm in love with any tower defense, but this. This is art! :)
Funny, addictive, comical ,nailed it

razveck 2016-09-01 15:07

It's a bit buggy and lags sometimes, so you might have been too ambitious for a game jam, but I did enjoy the gameplay. Nice work! :D

hawkinslance 2016-09-01 23:54

This was a fun tower defense game. Played it for a good hour. The graphics are really nice and it the mechanics were nice! Got old not having enough variety, though.

questionablequality 2016-09-02 13:44

Out of all of the games I've played this Jam, this has been the most polished so far. It ran perfectly fine for me, the music was so catchy and fitting for the game's aesthetic, and the gameplay itself was an extremely fun take on tower defence.

The only downside is it might need a bit of balancing? It feels like you can get really far by just speeding it up and putting down smite pillars.

We played your game on stream, which you can view here: https://www.twitch.tv/cantgetourname/v/87134400

Lovely tower defense game! I included it in my compilation video series of Ludum Dare 36, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/rUX8vUSl-y0

Great game but how can I rotate the traps?

huvaakoodia 2016-09-12 12:51

A solid Tower defence, with a few novel features amids the standard fare.

The good:
- It works! No serious bugs.
- Some neat traps (boulders, rotating axes)
- Gets crazy in the end with the enemy boats!

The bad:
- Some small bugs (you can place a block in the staircase, weapon gets permanently stuck on the mouse pointer if the game ends while dragging, vertical camera panning is extremely slow)
- No way to remove traps
- In the end, the thematic weapons don't really change the basic TD gameplay

Overall quality work, but you should put more emphasis on the thematic design next time.

dreamlogician 2016-09-14 03:02

Whoa, this is impressive! Nice progression of difficulty, beautiful animations and an overall fun and intense experience. The art style could perhaps be a little more cohesive, but I also find the variation really charming.

jupiter_hadley 2016-10-28 16:38

I also included your game in an article of my favorites as well as awarded a trophy to your profile! :) http://fireside.gamejolt.com/post/jam-favorites-ludum-dare-36-eyjmnpkp
