This was so cool, such a clever take on the theme. As a forever-DM, I've spent an awful lot of time pouring over character sheets, and I never get tired of it!
Some feedback is that the frequent transition screens hurt the flow of the game for me- making them snappier would be a big improvement.

@andrewkennedy Thanks for the feedback! I was planning for the game to be a little shorter, so the transitions would've been more impactful for the mood, but obviously things didn't turn out that way haha! I'll keep that in mind!
Nice little game! Most of the game was transition-waiting which was a bummer. Also the camera might have been better stationary since I often missed what the characters said. Nonetheless, a fun game :)
I loved the concept, it's a pretty creative take on the theme!
Some feedback I do have on it would be for the purpose of all the stats. So far there doesn't seem to be any point to them accept for picking whichever class has the highest number. Would have loved for it to be a little more in depth then just flavor and a single choice.
Awesome game, would love to see more!
Thank makes me want a fantasy party management game. Like F1 Manager meets a Fairy Tail guild. It does get a bit bland in its current state with so many days with no report and few choices. But I see a lot of potential in this concept.

This feels like one of those games that could have a pretty big following. Gameplay is solid for the time given, the room is nicely designed, the audio stings between days really set the mood for me.
Critique-wise, The time between days is so short that the black screen transition can be quite bothersome.
The stats also feel a little basic, I was assigning classes based on the highest number as it made sense. Maybe something like a passive skillset or something else that would help decide a class. Could even do the opposite, giving the character stats that aren't good for a class but has a really good passive for that class.
Another thing is that the game seemed to go on for a while, this isn't bad as I feel like it makes sense for a game like this.
Either way, I will be returning to this at some point to complete it as I really enjoyed it.
Good game, impressive that everything was done in 48 hours.
I really like this concept! I do feel like the management aspect is a bit shallow, but that's totally understandable with the time-frame of the compo to work with.
One note that I imagine you could easily address is that I didn't realize you could summon new heroes for a long time because I believe it pops up only when you have enough gold and I kept giving all of mine to the first hero I summoned.
I also think that, if there are no events or enough gold to summon, you could skip a day and just have the counter go up multiple times.
Overall, there's a really solid concept here and the atmosphere you made is very impressive in the time-frame!
Oh my gosh, buddy, how did you pull off such an amazing game in so little time? I'm head over heels for your art style – it must have taken a ton of effort, huh?

Super cool game man. I loved Papers Please and this was a fantasy spin on the genre. I somehow ended up with mostly clerics that won like every combat which was cool lol!
Love the style, very clean. Very solid system.

A very deep game for 47 hours. Great job!
Really cool concept! As others have said the class choice is really just a game of 'pick the highest number' would love to see some depth added there. Also the current camera setup would be cool in VR, but in the current state I ended up missing a lot of dialogue which was unfortunate because the dialogue I did see was very charming. Overall had a good time playing, great work!
Oh thats really clever! Great job!

I like this game! You guys are great!
I absolutely loved the idea, but I got a bit confused during my playthrough: sometimes there are days with empty reports, sometimes it's 5 times the same thing happening to all heroes, and sometimes characters have a 180 personality twist and they misbehave even though the seemed good natured. I wish there was a skip option to wait till somebody returns and then you can review the log of their actions and decide what to do with them :) also I liked the graphics and the idle adventure part. Very nice entry, guys, well done!
The game really has some charm that makes you want to keep going and I really started having at least some level of connection with certain characters.
Some images for the characters would be nice so that we could easily identify each one, but drawing that many unique characters could be out of scope for a jam.
I really like the idea of a reverse-isekai. Tho it kinda makes you feel like the bad guy when you essentially kidnap someone then rob and imprison them when they prefer not to do your bidding. (not necessarily a bad vibe tho, makes things more interesting actually)
I wish we could call some characters back when they starting going rogue, but I guess it fits with the narrative of the game as we realistically would have very little communication with the heroes once they start their quest, and I imagine the reports we receive being rumors and stuff we overhear instead of being direct reports from the field. There's also the joy of finally catching a traitor once they return.
Very solid entry overall. Nice work.
"THIS ISN'T JAPAN!!!" :D I really like the concept! Spent an hour trying to turn the tides back in my favor... which would have worked, but I had to move on. The initial impressions I had were wonderful, with little stories building themselves and placing me as a spectator with limited influence. Good stuff!!!

I found the move of the camera pretty anoying when you try to read but move your mouse in the same time ^^' Also, i got sometime empty day results, and don't know what it means;

Really neat, very impressive for the short time! I didn't really get anywhere, power was pretty much stuck at 50% for a long time. Eventually I gave up. It's fun, but I think you could tune it for much more agressive impacts of events. One thing I did not really understand is when you get to make decisions about a hero... are they just on a quest for a random number of days?
