my hand is tired of clicking on arrows :D
I really liked this game. I found it a bit hard to press the correct arrows to move around smoothly xD
This is really well done! I do have a couple of things that bug me TuT Having to press the buttons individually every time - especially for a game where you want to be quick (I assume, I didn't encounter a lose screen) is pretty painful - also there are some tiles in the centre of the three tables that you can't walk through? And because of these barriers, sometimes you have to walk past another customer and their 'want' will be what's on your tray, and they'll take it even if you haven't seen past the '!' yet.
Still, really well done, I love this style of game a lot!
Very cool! Nice game loop and a lot of content, including a tutorial and sound effects. I think future table positions are already locked for movement, which throws you off a bit as there just seems to be empty spaces you cant go into, but that's a very minor detail for a very well-made, extensive entry!
Great! Remoinds me of old DoS games, also feels like a roguelike with the upgrades per level. I like it!
That was pretty fun and well put together - I think the idea was solid but I would have liked to be able to hold a button and move in that direction, having to repeatedly press the arrows did make my fingers very tired. There were a few bugs with customers that randomly wouldn't accept their food, but overall the game was nice and pretty polished. Well done!
Tried and true classic at this point, well executed. I second the previous comment on the controls being a tiny bit fiddly at the start but that's a minor thing. Maybe biggest detractor was the music for me. A simple but catchy tune would have kept me playing for longer. All in all a pretty solid entry!
I love this game. I was in the zone and didn't realize for a long time that I had won - I stopped playing when I had over 1300 gold. I think that's a good sign for your game. The music got me hooked. You made a good tutorial. I also like that one can choose which upgrade to pick next. Tiny negative point is the arrow movement as mentioned by the others. Because of the isometric view I had to get used to the directions.
Great entry for a compo! Your game looks polished.
very good concept keys are confusing but I figured it out :) overall good job.
I liked this submission! I think delivering orders to people is intuitive, yet something I haven't seen many people explore this jam. Instructions were clear, animations were solid. Personally I'm not a fan of digitally controlling isometric games like this since the mapping is off by 90 degrees in my head, but I managed to figure it out and enjoy the game.
Really well done. An orthogonal layout might have made the movement a bit easier, the isometric/diagonal controls made it a bit tricky for my brain to think about while also keeping track of all the orders haha. But it was fun running around getting everything delivered and the art + visuals set a great mood.
This actually a lot of fun to play! Animations are definitely a good idea and I especially love the animations when the new stuff is added to the screen. Only one complain - this sort of movement feels a little off, but I got used to it eventually. Great job!
I liked it except for controls, somehow isometric arrows don't click in my mind with arrow keys, maybe would be better if we were allowed to press the arrows continously to move several spots in succession.
Got a bit muddled up with the controls, but otherwise a very good game. Well done.
Really cool graphics looks beautiful. Great sound - it fit in really well. Whole thing was really chill.
Tons of content great work getting it all in within the time frame. Really like the progression.
Only sticking point for me was the controls took a bit of time to get used to - but after a few minutes I got a feel for them it was all good.
finally got a rhythm going! my brain was working really hard with the directions XD. Nice use of the prompt
Yay! What a fun game! I did find the controls a little strange to start with because of the isometric style, but once I got used to them I was whizzing around serving up food and drinks! I actually spent like 10 minutes playing which is the longest I have spent so far on the LD53 games :D Improvements to add would be making the people impatient for their order, either reduce the amount of money you get when it takes too long or make them leave if you take too long to get their order. Maybe have a Sims-style "time of day" where it gets busier or quieter? Overall Great job!!!
Really nice game! It felt really polished, and I loved the tutorial and the new item spawn animation. The game was surprisingly addictive too. I tried a tactic where I had the minimum amount of different foods & drinks (I stayed a purely water & sushi bar until I got 200 coins) which allowed me to always fill my tray with a mix of sushi and water, and give customers what they wanted the moment they arrived - they must have thought I was psychic! Anyway, I really enjoyed it. One issue I had though is that the piano felt desynced from the rest of the music, which led it to feel like a downgrade music-wise instead of an upgrade, but other than that, great entry!
It's really easy to get in the zone with this game, but like others said, I also had trouble with the arrow keys, my brain just couldn't quite pair up the isometric viewpoint with what key to press haha.
Really love this concept though, and it's a blast to play!
A well rounded experience. I like the inspiration from Plate Up (I'm assuming)!
Liked the mood of the game! I always have a weakness for restaurant-games. The moving is a bit annoying, but since you challenged yourself by using isometric view, I think it is a great start!
ok, my first impression was that you copied our game. But then it evolved in a completely different direction. And I do love game where you can buy upgrade for money. So this was great. Need to save it and have a longer play session when I have more time
+ moving around felt weird and definitely took way too much clicking + when I got the third table the middle row was blocked (as if I had 4 and not 3 tables)
Simple but surprizingly good! Musing is supper fitting. I think there is a bug where it blocks where you can walk sometimes. The only thing I can complain about is that walk is a bit though on your hands. Holding the controls would be easier instead of repeating IMO. Well done!
That was cute and pretty fun!
This was tons of fun! I loved it when you got the piano and it added an extra voice on top of the original music. Very clever! Loved the upgrades! Love the experience! Probably one of my favourites I've played so far
I love music, what DAW have you used? Awesome. How come I have to use Fullscreen? Couldn't resize in Godot? The truth is that the game is impressive, isometric with different options (more tables, more tray capacity, etc.) My congratulations, seriously, great game for a Compo, what you have done in 48 hours is spectacular, congrats!
Snipaste_2023-05-05_23-55-21.png love this game,,all five stars but audio,I really have a good time on this one, just it is so short to reach 500 golds, wish for more content.nice design, nice roguelike .add tables and can put one more stuff is very nice.good job
pretty chill game, good mechanics wish It had proper ending but still pretty good for a compo game! loved the economics and seeing the restaurant grow!
Creative idea and fun game. The controls were a little obtuse though. It would be nice if more UI elements were able to be selected with the mouse.
Did not like the controls but like the gameplay. Nice idea and fun to play, good job!
Really good entry! Especially for a compo entry. I managed to get around 430 coins before i stopped, had all the upgrades too :) I noticed that sometimes even though i had water on my tray, the customers weren't taking it :(
Either way, really good game! Great work
Impressive! Great amount of work was made in just a 48 hours. I hope, you can make it a good big game. Good luck and thank you for your entry.
