lol throwing out the black pixel somehow makes me think of Mickey Mouse throwing out his nose, I like this design
I really enjoyed playing it! I had to read through the instructions to figure out that I can shoot the black pixels š
I'd love to see it being developed into something larger.
Very straight to the point and fun game, I don't remember playing a game like this, it feels very original. Great sound design, very nice and smooth 8-bit sounds. Great use of minimalist pixel art graphics.
I lost all my pixels in this on, that was so fun! Sem TĆtulo-1.png
Nice work!
Nice game, started having fun after figured out the rules, the tutorial would have been very helpful.
Very cute artistic game. I can't figure out how to kill the 6-th enemy for some reason. Lovely art style!
@oldzombie14 I end up loving the creative control that the player has in my game. With this design I was actually just putting pixels together without thinking lol, for a demonstration
@pietmichal Aw, Iām glad you liked it! Shooting black pixels is definitely the most obscure part of the game. I wish I had time to add a little clue about it. Maybe Iāll develop it further, but I need to get more feedback first.
@kenjimarcio Iām happy you enjoyed it! I love when people call my games original, it's something I really value in games and want to include in mine. The word great is also nice to hear lol
@shakirovich Iām glad you had fun! I didnāt have time to add a proper tutorial in-game because the core game mechanic was so hard to implement! But I did put a big warning on the page in hopes of saving a few poor souls, lol.
@killofox Thank you!! Is that the guy with the 3-shot bow machine gun? Youāre supposed to relocate your pixels so you stay above the shots, you can fly in this game, lol.
@leo-fu Your... message is blank... I didnāt know that was even possible
Neat relaxing game with unique idea and cute lowrez style. I ended up with my witch (or clown firefighter?) taking more aggresive approach, shooting all first rather than evading. Wish there would be some backtracking or maybe even metroidvania thing. Or even could be some rythm elements. Wish you good luck!

Awesome entry, very unique! I loved building my guy (i made a dragon btw), took me a little to figure out that i control the black pixels as well as the others. Also the pixels are so tiny and cute, fit the theme well :)
Incredible! Boss at the end almost got me ngl. I like games where player can somehow express himself with constructing its own creature or arranging items etc. Thanks a lot! Keep it up!
Fun minimal game, similar to some ship building games. I liked that you could reposition pixels after initially placing them.

I _love_ this idea but eventually got stuck when my pixels just were not hitting one of the guys (like the 3rd or 4th one)
Very creative concept! I was shocked at how much freedom you had in building your little guy up. Some more variety in enemy design or other pixels that you can use like weapons would make this amazing. I hope you keep adding to it.
Great Compo!!! I love the idea of building up my little monster. By the end it was not so little lol.
Cute game! I can keep swapping black boxes' position to make a snipe long shot, which is a guaranteed win but that's fine cause building the creature is what matters and is very satisfying
Loved the unique concept and fun pixel art! Building and customizing your monster was a blast. Figuring out the black pixel mechanic was a bit tricky, but it made the gameplay more interesting. Gj!
@gdman Thank you!! This design is amazing! I would love to have seen everyone else's designs, but sadly I have only seen yours and the penis from the video above, lol. I liked your suggestions! I have plans to make the game bigger, but I have been focusing on fixing whatās there first before that. Thank you for playing!!
@kaviasko Thank you!! They **ARE** really tiny and cute!!
@uniowl Thank you!! Minecraft changed the world of games forever lol
@milkwine Thank you for making a video! You made a great... monster... lol. It is **really** useful to have the first impression of a person. I will try to find those ship games; Iām really curious, I usually donāt play games like that
@sourcehorse Thank you!! I noticed some people had this problem. I usually stand still, so it is easier to hit. Happily, I did fix the bug in both the BUGFIXES and 1.17 version for the bunnies to be. Just make sure the pixel is aligned with the... humans? weak spot, and it will hit!
@mdsalomon Thank you!! I was shocked too, lol! Once I realized what I created, I was surprised that I was able to make it. For now, I will try to keep adding to it. Thank you for playing!!
@desibragg Thank you!! Lol, thatās a sign that you are playing the game well!
@wo-ri-gou-le Thank youuu!! I will try to fix this in the future, so the player won't have any more freebies!
@nazariglez Thank youu!! Iām glad you had a blast!! I wasnāt sure if customizing the monster would be fun, so itās nice to hear that it was. Thank you for playing!!
This is a really pretty and polished title. It reminds me of a good game called "Passage" in it's simple presentation. I found some of the interactions to be frustrating, perhaps would be mitigated with a larger playing window, I have tendonitis and a high sensitivity mouse, 4k monitor. I had to stop playing but I truly loved what I saw. It took me long to understand the reticle, because it felt like a classic mouse pointer.
@coltonphillips Thank youuu!!! I will check out Passage, that sounds like a developer with a lot of style, lol! Iām sorry the game was a bit frustrating; I donāt want that to happen to anyone anymore, so I made the game window resizable, and there is now a fullscreen mode by pressing Shift, but only in the 1.18 version. Iām not sure if Iām allowed to add it to the COMPO. I hope itās more fun now! The reticle is tricky; Iāve been trying to add an intuitive way to show the player what it does, but nothing has felt natural so far. Iāll figure it out eventually.
Very interesting, it was nice to be able to create your custom monster, although it was a bit sad that the colors molded to flesh.
I think that the most important thing in games is their uniqe. And this is very good job!
Wow! I canāt stop being amazed by how many interesting games you can find in Ludum Dare! The mechanics, the idea, and the visual style are some of the most unique Iāve seen. Fun, original, and engaging. Well done! P.S. My boyfriend's masterpiece (it was supposed to be a cat): Screenshot 2024-10-10 214838.png
Man this is so cool. Took a minute to figure out what I had to do, but the game was really nice once i figured it out. Not sure if it was intended, but I found a way to basically place the black pixel at an arbitrary location without having to build out my monster.
Nice work making something completely unique. Making your creature look like something while trying t o complete the goal of getting past the next enemy was fun. Great job!
Super cool, love the aspect ratio, the palette, and the simplicity of your graphical style. The moment when it clicked what I had to do was very satisfying, and the game is short and sweet. Well done!
Well Doneļ¼Ivery like this game
It looks like a simple game, but it has an original idea and most likely a huge potential. I like it!
simple, yet cool game! my monster was literraly a brick (full in pixels, no creativity :))
This was a really cool game! The low-res pixel art is gorgeous (same as your last game), and I love the otherworldy vibes the game gives off between the craft-able creatures and alien mounds of pixels.
My contribution to science --

nice and sweet, i had fun playing it. good job you guys!
constructed my own dummy!!! lovely
Wow very unusual idea, I love it! image_2024-10-12_231929073.png
What a weird and original idea! Would be nice if different colors produced different effects, maybe? Had me some time building up my monster... which was mostly an ugly blog ^-^
I can't believe did this in 48 hours! great work!
Well that was a strange but enjoyable game. Getting to build my own little pixel art monster was super fun. The controls were a little tedious at times, but I'm not sure how I'd improve on them really. Until the "boss" it felt like I was invincible but I was ill prepared for that encounter :) Very nice entry.
Really nice game! It was so cool! I love that you can āpuuzleā your Monster !
@ellaris Thank you! Yeah, I thought it was a bit sad at the start too, but eventually I got used to it.
@sdcorpse Thank you!! And I agree! Uniqueness is a breath of fresh air! *Sigh of relief*
@ecaterina Awww thank you!! I love your cat and their interesting leg lol!
@snesgaard Thank you!! Itās intentional, because I want the player to have a lot of freedom for creativity. But it made the gameplay a bit easy, so I added a fix that makes the enemies' awareness based on the position of the right-most pixel of the monster instead of its x position. All the creativity, without the gameplay advantage!
@larrymartinjr Thank you! Iām glad you like it! At least my craziness helps in creating original games lol!
@skyeward Thank you!! Iām glad my game captivated you so much! ^^
@xiaoxie33 Thank Youļ¼Ivery like this feedback
@mikeandtherest Thank you!! I will try to reach the game's full potential!
@rotob12 Thank you!! Your monster must have looked like a slime from RPGs lol!
@sudocoffee Aaaahhh! Iām glad you came back for more! Science welcomes your beautiful creature! But we might make some experiments on it... no take-backsies! Thanks so much for the kind words!!
@shir0o23 Thank you for your nice and sweet feedback! Sadly, itās just me working on the game, as per the rules of the compo!
@dreo Thank you for the lovely comment!
@anekich Thank you! I love your spiky cat monster!
@notnasiul Thank you!! Iām sure your monster was beautiful lol! Iām thinking about giving the monster new pixels with new powers!
@misaravensoul Thank you for streaming my game! Iām glad you love it!! I have it recorded, so I can watch it again and again!
@bentglasstube Thank you!! I was going for strange lol!! I really want to add a middle ground in difficulty between the boss and the other monsters for a more challenging experience!
@meru Thank you! In this game, the puzzle is you lol!
A "Windows-only" game, eh? Sorry, I just _had_ to.
Screenshot_2024-10-13_23-39-43.png
Edit: I love the use of the theme here a lot! I think the next round I'll make a little traffic cone.
The thing with the shield really messed me up, but I made it.
Very interesting and unique game, great idea and implementation!
ahah really nice entry, good job to handle the creature creation pixel by pixel  I had fun playing it! Nothing much to say, I played the compo version without patches, and it already was fun to play
Capture d'Ʃcran 2024-10-14 212308.png
I had fun with this, I think there's a good mechanic here. It could be fleshed out into something bigger I feel like. I liked the simple visuals and nice work with having at least some sounds.
What a charming entry! It's impressive what you're able to convey at such a low resolution.
I do wish that the different colored pixels gave me different abilities, but I totally get how that would be out of scope for a compo game.
Very nice job with this one!
I really liked the idea of this :D It's like those eat-things-and-get-bigger games but with customization on where mass goes, and abilities associated with certain "absorbed" units. Like others have suggested, this has a lot of potential if you expand the space of abilities (and associate them with different colors)āvery impressive (and innovative!) Compo entry!
Very fun! What an interesting concept - once I got the hang of it, it was very satisfying to reconfigure my little guy, plug up gaps, and plan out my next shotgun attack. The art style is totally unique, and the colors vivid and pleasant. Great work!
good game, great aesthetic, overall fun experience!
Nice game, I'm not precise with my mouse so I struggled to pick the pixels  Great job!
@epb9000 Thank you!! Iām glad Wine and people feeling challenged to prove me wrong are bringing players to me lol! Iām sure it will turn out to be a beautiful cone! By the way, you can relocate the monster's pixels, some people took a little while to notice that.
@zirrrus Thank you!! They were the last challenge; I wanted to make the players suffer lol!
@curtis-pelissier Thank you, Iām glad to hear that! It was so hard to implement the core mechanic! There are still a few bugs in the compo version that Iām too lazy to port from the new version, but I think it still works really well.
@beeb-gamecodecompany Thank you!! I will try to develop the game into something larger! Everything was so short on time; I made a music track, but it was so bad I had to remove it from the game lol!
@coleslaughter Thank youu! It was such a rush, and the main mechanic was really hard to implement. I do intend to add new powers for your little monster in the future, but first, I plan to add new enemies, an infinite mode, and a more practical way to remove the monster's pixels. After that, I might add new powers or maybe more mobility to give the movement more dimension.
@meepThank you!! Thatās a very interesting comparison, and it hadnāt come to my mind until now! Iāll try to eventually give the little monster more powers.
@ugly-robot Thank you, I am so glad you like it!! The problem with unique ideas is that it takes a second for people to get it
@artallester Thank you!! Iām glad you like it!
@transkuja Thank you so much!! Aaaa, you should try the new "NOW LESS BORING!!" version. Just hold the left mouse button, and the pixels practically pick themselves up automatically. So practical!
I was playing this version ! But didn't know I could hold down the mouse button
**Taste my friendship!**

Easily the most creative game I've played in a while! Beautiful game-design!
Thank you so much for sharing it with me on stream :)

It was sometimes difficult to select the correct pixel from the monster, but I really liked the concept and the colors used in the game! Great job!
This is quite the inventive game but I feel it could have done with some music to go along with it.
I LOVE the art style of this game - the light desaturated colours combined with vibrant colours for interactable elements is super neat! Also the actual text + web design of the page is fire. Gameplay is smooth and polished. Maybe some simple lo-fi procedural background track would have been the perfect fit here.
The last guy shredded me, but it was fun making my cute lil' bunny blob. Really interesting mechanic, building it up to play with like that.
Amazingly cool idea realised really well. Super creative. Love the art, and the gameplay loop's really fun. Really like the space for creativity and for me to make my own terrible art in the game - got me attached. Found placing pieces a bit slow at times and wish there was music.
Fantastic concept, perhaps more feedback when you take damage and lose pixels.
@transkuja It is a bit hard to understand all the controls. I recently posted a GIF showing all of them to help players have an idea, and since it's a mouse game, Iām thinking about adding a note on the page for players to press random buttons of the mouse until they discover all the possibilities, lol.
@tomssuli I love your pony! It looks like a horny murder machine; kill them with friendship!
@empyreans Thank you so much for the kind words! Itās cool that thereās now another YouTube video for me to present my game!
@plasmapuffs Thank you! I got used to them, but I can see how new players may have difficulties. Hopefully, the new controls make it easier.
@brain-siege-gameworks Thank you! I did add music now, but itās a royalty-free one I found. I hope to create some music of my own for the game in the future.
@shasaur Thank you! I added royalty-free music to the game to make it feel more complete. Iām glad you like the game page; you were the first to compliment it, and I was looking for another opinion.
@tempestcognitor Thank you! I knew I needed to make the last guy difficult; it is the final challenge; the player needs to prove their worth!
@thaprofesional Thank you! Thankfully, there is a royalty-free music now, and a few more update. I tried to create music, but it wasnāt very good; I need to learn more.
@hexyvexy Thank you, and thank you for playing on the stream! And thank you for the suggestion! By the way, the last boss should not have been that difficult; there was a major bug with the hitbox that I fixed recently!
Since the jam is practically over, I will stop updating the game here, but **I will continue updating the game on Itch.io**. You can **follow me there to receive updates!** Thank you for playing, rating, and giving feedback! And thank you for all the wonderful art posted here! All of your art is now on the Itch.io page of the game! ~~please don't sue my ass~~. **Aaaaaaaand thank youuuuuu aaaall!!**

I could get lost in this for hours. I would love to see some expansion where the colors/pixels have meaning and affect spells/abilities/shot types/ammo or stats or something it is such a clever and creative mechanic.
