It's an alright game. Though sound would have helped it out more.
Through much trial and error The rat's common sense convinced them to slay the dastardly piper.
If I would describe this game I would describe it as Hmm... Interesting.
I'm sure this is real quite unique but it's also overwhelming. I couldn't figure it out.
You're nuts,
Also entertaining game, though the mouse is a tad sensitive. And the boss stage seemed to have you shoot these weird blue rectangles that kinda messed with the view. Otherwise a quality experience.
Yeah this is definitely something that could benefit from an update with new stuff. Also enjoyed throwing boxes around.
Of all of the games I've played so far this has been the most fun. Quite satisfying. Feels kinda like a FPS version of the Ninja Rope.
What is that music...? It spoke to me on a personal level.
Nice little game, I don't know how long it is though. I couldn't seem to finish the second stage. Might be a good idea to mention the objective at some point.
Goliath defeated. RIP BOZO. In other words this was quite the amusing game. And alright in general. Not the most innovative but it's still alright.
This one was overall a good time. I like it.
The dark levels really hurt the game, it is cool though and I see a lot of effort went into it. Additionally the detection for falling into the pits seems to be a bit too wide, you fall through the floor next to it.
It's an interesting game, but beyond it's concept it leaves much to be desired. I think, this game could have done with more interesting visuals. Though that might be a product of the way it was made.
It was alright. Made for a decent game. Though if you want more people to look at it you'll want to start playing other's games.
A bit of artificial selection. And boy were those some tiny creatures.
Visually this one is the best looking game I've played in LD56 so far. I can tell it had a large team behind it.
I can imagine this took a lot of work art wise. Quite relaxing.
This was an alright game, pretty neat. Not a huge amount of depth but still. I however didn't know exactly how to progress.
It's a nice little game. I think it could benefit from a post Ludum Dare version to expand upon it.
Cute, though ultimately quite average. I think it could benefit from a bit more flair.
Rather gross. Can be pretty difficult to hit your target when they've got half their backup.
This is quite the inventive game but I feel it could have done with some music to go along with it.
Fun little game, managed to get through most of it.
I had a lot of trouble actually getting ramped up with my forces when playing, they just didn't last.
I love how the tiny creatures just violently explode when they've had their lot in life.
Beside that, it's an interesting idea but ultimately had issues with game breaking bugs, softlocks and I wasn't able to figure out how to progress to the end. A big number of the bugs were physics related which I know are difficult to sort out.
Additionally more useful things this game could have had are a reset button and the ability to sprint.
I think it would have been more fun if there was a way to show what breeding combinations are possible.
I had a problem when playing it where the enemies didn't acquire a target unless there were structures (Possibly only walls) close enough. Led to some waves where the enemy just didn't send out units.
This game does have a solid atmosphere.
The mites got melted. Deserved.
I feel like moving the camera is a bit awkward. Effort was certainly made for it, but it was rather monotonous for me. Maybe some more variety may have helped.
It's a solid game but some things could really help the game. A cap on the number of bacteria active at once, an indicator of how many of each bacteria you currently have, the ability to zoom/ a minimap and the ability to make your collecting bacteria prioritize a specific resource.
It's is charming but the error with the flycatching minigame really hurts it.
Is a rather cute game featuring a lesser known but rather fascinating species. I don't really know what to do when you're in space.
Yeah, got a little overfaced by the last hours, there was plenty we wanted to implement that didn't get in and there's a few pretty major bugs. A restart button I forgot to do. But probably absolutely could have and should have done.
There is a readme in the game file, additionally there are notes you can read with Q. I should have added indication you activate the books with Q.
And exporting for web? Maybe could do it later.
Don't mind me I'm just having problems with exporting to HTML. Trying to figure it out.
Ok hopefully that HTML export is alright.
Blame my artist for the artstyle.
Yeah the game probably could have done with a lot more polish. But it was all that could be done in the short time frame. A lot of your points are quite valid. It had to be made in an unpolished way to fit the time. I didn't have time to remove the whole bugs with the boys detaching from things.
Also if any of you lot want to know how some of the mechanics were made ask away.
Don't worry, it's overall quite hard anyways.
@marco-santos I agree, it could absolutely be done better, but it was ultimately what we could get done in the time allotted.
Yeah that's a known bug, Couldn't reliably fix it in time.
It's a good attempt for an early game. Fits the theme quite well with an ant. It is however quite basic and graphically not amazing. Additionally the pileup of vacuums late game leads to a lot of noise at once. With practice and further learning, you may be able to do something of greater scope next time. Scores: Easy: 90.3 Normal: 61.3 Suck: 28.5 I also like how it's highest difficulty is called suction.
Interesting usage of the towers to create building space also being your objective to defend. I think performance becomes a bit of an issue with lots of stuff though.
Nice work with this one, I like this one, interesting use of tiny creatures and it has various movement tech you can do, creating platforms with tiny creatures, blast jumping off tiny creatures and pistol jumping. I did notice that you seem to be able to wall jump off of walls and I don't know if that's intentional.
It is perhaps a little limited in scope, It could have done with more added to it. It's ok though.
