Usually this type of game makes me stressed, but your take on the jam was actually super nice! It's very relaxing to look at the creatures go around their tasks. The music is soothing and I really like the art (especially the UI art). I would have loved to know the names of the constructions I build with a UI label but once I build them it becomes pretty obvious what they are. Great job!!
simply relaxing, i really like the low poly style, it reminds me of some game i used to play a long time ago

I really enjoy the settlement-building simulator; it’s engaging and fun to play. The low poly graphics and music are pleasant, enhancing the overall experience. However, I would reduce the blur effect a bit, as it can be too overwhelming in some areas.
I like the atmosphere, It's cool when all the little creatures are working together.
I thought your game was cute and was a neat concept. it took a few restarts to understand things enough to not be in a soft lock, but once I got it I was good. Thought the art was cute, and the music was fitting. One of my biggest complaints, however, was that with my screen resolution and with it full screen, the top and bottom was cut off. I couldn't see the quit button, and if I went into settings I was forced to go to desktop so that I could close it from there since escape didn't do anything either. I could only see about half to 2/3 of the intro text because of this as well.
@doublemintben Interesting, I guess none of us ever tested at anything other then a 16x9 aspect. I know Unity UI can be a bit finicky when changing aspect ratio, sorry about that. What screen resolution do you run at so I can keep other common ones in mind in the future? I am glad you enjoyed the gameplay overall, thanks for the comment!

It took me some retries before I understand how to start something viable. I finally managed to get it, however, this takes way to long to get ressources, I like contemplative games, but here after building the first needed constructions and summoning some creatures, after minutes I didn't even get the twentieth of what needed to do anything more… And plus, the game was lagging after a while (I'm on Win11 pro, with a Core I5, 32Go RAM, a GeForce RTX 3060, and 1920×1080 screen, I used to think this must be sufficient for this kind of game… )
Would have been great to always see or have an input to see current ressources !

Awesome game! The atmosphere is just great and the UI and models are simple but effective. I loved the audio too! I just struggled a bit understanding the purpose of each icon because I didn't read their description on this page at first. Why not include them in game as tooltips ? ^^
@azimiro we were asking ourselves that too as soon as the first other person give it a try. My best answer is that we knew what they did so did not think about explaining it during development :)

Wooah this game feels like it’s full completed game!
Loved the music and art! The gameplay left me a bit confused, as I didn't know what the purpose of different structures and creatures were. The mechanics themselves were really good though so I feel like some tooltips or potentially some progression to unlocking things would help with that a ton, but still extremely impressive given the amount of time! Great job!
I feel like moving the camera is a bit awkward. Effort was certainly made for it, but it was rather monotonous for me. Maybe some more variety may have helped.

The graphics and art style is seriously impressive for a game jam, love the aesthetic!

This is cute! love the graphical style and the camera controls felt really nice even with a trackpad. Audio was well-suited to the game and really pleasing. The game's intro is really impressive to. The AI system is a cool proof of concept, but as with anything made for a jam could use some further tuning. Similarly, there were some optimization issues that lead to bad frame rate drops on my machine. I think that as a tech demo of what you can do with ECS this is really impressive, and it shows off the audio and graphical skills of the team very well. The actual gameplay is definitely the area most lacking, as resource income is painfully slow and there is no clear description of what structures and creatures do, nor a learning curve of how to string them together for the victory. Very good technical work. Gameplay needs development.
