LD53 — Delivery

Medieval Messenger by José Bonilla 2023-05-04T23:28:52Z

I loved the art style and the music. I felt controls were a touch cumbersome at times and I wish the player had some form of defense. found it easy to get surrounded through the difficult yellow terrain. all in all I really enjoyed the theme, and thought some really good effort was put into it.

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Swamp Axe by Erik Tate 2024-10-08T01:20:18Z

Fun idea for a platformer, you did a really good job setting the mood for the subject, at some points I was wishing I could lower speed of the frog without quickly tapping a directional key, but minor complaint. I was sort of imagining what atrocities I would see if I saw a replay of all attempts at the end of each level, similar to super meat boy ... some of those levels would have been depressing lol.

was surprised to see a pinball entry! quite impressed at the attempt. I will echo some of the other sentiment that some of the sound effects were a bit much for me, and the drain sound got a little much (I honestly should work on not draining so much too lol). enjoyed the thought put into it, felt the physics of the ball movement were well done, the top felt a little crowded, but not a big complaint honestly. sharing this with some of my pin friends.

Thank you everyone for all the comments and feedback! Honestly one of my favorite parts of this event is the constructive feedback. We can't improve if we don't know what we did wrong and what we did right, so every comment about things people loved and things people didn't love is so incredibly appreciated! Y'all are awesome!

Creature Box by rainbeau 2024-10-12T02:56:25Z

I thought your game was cute and was a neat concept. it took a few restarts to understand things enough to not be in a soft lock, but once I got it I was good. Thought the art was cute, and the music was fitting. One of my biggest complaints, however, was that with my screen resolution and with it full screen, the top and bottom was cut off. I couldn't see the quit button, and if I went into settings I was forced to go to desktop so that I could close it from there since escape didn't do anything either. I could only see about half to 2/3 of the intro text because of this as well.

cute game, and I love the concept. Only 2 real complaints, one is what other people spoke on, the issue of soft lock, but the other one is that with it full screen and how the whole background moves when you jump or move lent itself to making me very motion sick, I couldn't play it as long as I would have liked to. if it had an option for windowed, or if the movement wasn't so fast and hard it probably would have been a little easier for me, but I'm sure this is also partially a me problem. reminded me almost of a single player ibb and obb, where each character has a job to do to let everyone get to the end, would be fun to see where you could take this.

a tiny HUGE escape by EricNS 2024-10-12T02:31:38Z

Welcome to the chaos and awesomeness of ludum dare! Congratulations on submitting your first game.

I felt that the concept of the controls was really cool, but I struggled with the rubber banding effect that you get from having the screen move which makes the characters move. As someone with dyslexia, it was hard to keep straight which character was which number, might be cute at some point to take a page from Dr. Seuss and give them "thing 1" and "thing 2" shirts to help lol. I loved the idea of the team work, having each have their individual jobs to do, made it interesting. I love ibb & obb so puzzle platformers have a soft spot for me.

Keep it up, hopefully I get to see more submissions from you in the future!
