I think its a neat concept! Couldve used some more particle effects or something maybe and zooming in and out is a bit glitchy but a nice feature to have. Other than that a solid game.
The game in its self is nice. The game's art style is neat too. And one thing a person already mentioned the music is incredibly suiting for the game. Some controls are a bit clunky but they do not matter in the game experience. Really good game overall.
the soundtrack really fits the alone in space vibe, and the sprites are all really well drawn! I think the main things that needed touching up here were the sound design and animations for the meteors exploding. Got crushed in the middle of two asteroids and instantly died but honestly still fun.
This is a really well-implemented game that I wish I could be good at. I'm not much of a gamer, so I found it too challenging to complete, but I do feel that the asteroid density could be decreased somewhat. It's still among the better games I've tried, though. Well done!
Wow thanks for all of the feedback. The team is over the moon from the feedback so far. It means the world to us that you choose to play and give use feedback.
^--- no pun intended.
This was fun but hard - I died a lot. Worked right out of the box on linux, so great job! I liked the art style - was it intentional that the asteroids kind of had little faces on? There's craters that kind of look like eyes and a mouth. I like the audio loop but I wish it had been longer / a bit more varied or had occasionally cut out completely so there was nothing but the darkness of space...
Good job, definitely one I enjoyed!
Simple and fun! Was quite happy to see you included controller support :)
Fun concept but the asteroids were really hard to avoid, I never made it past the second area. It would be nice if jumping also repaired your ship.
I like the starfield and the audio, really set a nice mood.
FYI for others, on linux I had to chmod a+x game
@soundgnome I love the idea thanks.
@jward thanks for the heads up
I managed to beat it! well done overall -- i wonder, are some of the asteroids homing? it felt targeted, lol
@sebbot nope the asteroids are pure random nightmare :)
Good job on the simple yet fun game! I felt like I was floating in the vastness of space with the music. The hand-drawn graphics are interesting, although maybe having a more unified art style would be better. Nonetheless, you did a great job! Cheers!
Nice game doing spins around the stars is really fun it feels really fluid to control
Glad to see another game made with MonoGame :D The idea behind it is excellent, and while the controls can be a bit frustrating at times, I think it adds to the overall challenge and excitement. The only thing that detracted from my experience was when a meteor spawned inside my ship, which was a bit unexpected. Nonetheless, aside from this minor issue, I thought it was a good game.
@pedryx yeah that was one of the things that got me as well. We knew it was a risk with our asteroid replenish system hoped it would not be that noticeable. It sort of is, thanks for the feedback.
