Blow Ball by jk5000 2023-10-04T21:37:28Z

It's an interesting spin on games like pong or air hockey, however whenever the ball goes towards the posts on the sides, it's really hard to recover. It also feels hard to outplay your opponent since the ball feels like it stays on one axis. You blow it one direction and it feels like all you can do is get right behind it and blow it right back. After playing it for a bit I learned you could kind of come in at the side for a sudo curve shot, however it's not very clear that you can do it. However, all that aside the really enjoy the representation. It's a fun little game you can play with friends. Great work!

Cranedemonium by kuggenhoffen 2023-10-05T22:21:59Z

Overall a super fun game! Playing around with physics is always a good time. My only gripe is I wish I could control the sensitivity of crane in the settings or something. It could be fun to customize the game that way so once you get better you can try and run through the game faster. But thats just a quality of life thing, other than that it's super goof. Nice work!

Tiny Farm Island by gamesplusjames 2023-10-05T04:06:00Z

Honestly, the number one thing that stood out to me was the music. It eased me in and creating that fun, relaxing vibe.

Wide Truck Simulator by Byzilio 2023-10-05T03:46:16Z

Super fun mechanic to play around with. Car felt a little hard to control at times, but other than that the game was fun

Grid Bots by Ayced 2023-10-07T15:38:26Z

The visuals and audio are really fun, and the gameplay in general is super responsive which makes it really fun to play. The main drawback for me is how disorientating the isometric view is. I know other people have addressed this in other comments, but I actually don't mind the isometric view. The main problem comes from jumping not feeling like your leaving the ground since there isn't anything (like a shadow) that portrays your distance from the ground. This is seperate from the isometric view, but some sort of indicator that the ground is going away apart from the ground shaking since it's hard to see that.

Cyberframe EDEN by kiririn51 2023-10-07T01:21:11Z

Absolutely stunning art all around. Obviously the character look great, but I'm more impressed by the amount/quality of the UI design. Without that, especially in a card game, the game would have not come together as well without it. I understand you guys didn't make the audio, but I will commend you for your choice of audio since it ties so well to the art direction of the game. Gameplay wise, this shit is addicting, but I do wish I had more options in the beginning. I enjoy receiving new cards after every game, however I think giving the player some options for those first few fights would help the game/turns feel repetitive. Maybe having the player stick with the default deck for the first fight then after that giving them a gift of 5 parts, so they have more options for the next few fights. This would give so many more options to choose from. Overall, this game is an incredible achievement for a weekend jam, and an incredible simple, yet engaging gameplay loop. I highly encourage y'all to continue development, adding some more parts and enemies and putting this on Steam. It's that good.

Carl's Limited Adventure by Ranzor 2023-10-06T17:31:50Z

I don't know how you did that, but it plays off of the theme so well. Simply amazing creativity.

TEMPLE IS ACID (feat. Bees 🐝) by samboyer276 2023-10-04T22:38:47Z

This is awesome, I loved every second of it. The only problem I found was that you can camp out projectile slimes by sitting at the top of the screen since projectiles get destroyed by the bottom part of the wall. It means you can just hover at the top and there is 0 risk of getting hit, but everything else is super polished. I will be continuing to play this after the jam.

Death Robot Of Doom by Anaconda Games 2023-10-05T13:51:27Z

Huge fan of the inventory system, however some pieces feel hard to work with at times. For example I couldn't find an orientation where the AK47 fit in well so I was going to sacrifice inventory space no matter what. Which I think is super clever game design, but it felt weak for the fact I was giving up more space than it was marketed as. Other than the the core gameplay loop is super addicting and I love your art assets. Super great job!

Too Many Marbles by Thomas Volpato 2023-10-04T22:05:05Z

Game is super slow, taking a ton of time between turns. It's also super unbalanced. Since scores are tallied after every round the last player in the round has a giant advantage. There's also the problem of selecting a ball from a random selection. When there is a ball where it can't be moved once it's placed, then there is no more interaction with that marble for the rest of the match. Things like that kind of ruin the experience for me.

Haxwell Modem: Beyond the Firewall by shaner421 2023-10-07T00:53:54Z

I really enjoyed the sound and the overall feel of hitting a perfect parry. I will say I wish that there were more variety of enemies to fight. I also didn't know why I was moving onto next sections. I assume it's because I reached the "exit" of that floor, but there aren't any visual distinctions between the final room and normal rooms.

Burn Beetle by Pious 2023-10-07T00:28:03Z

The visuals for this game are absolutely stunning. Easily the best looking one I've played so far. The mechanics of the game and the visual/audio feedback were also excellent. My only problem is that once you've played through it once, it loses its luster due to how short/simple the first level is. Overall it's a great proof of concept and something I think can be greatly expanded on into the future if y'all decide to continue to work on it. It has so much promise.

Untitled Goo Game by RumiaObsessed 2023-10-05T03:33:31Z

This is a fun little experience, good job!

Wizard n' Slims by rickylee 2023-10-05T04:26:17Z

This game is soooo satisfying, it feels clear to just completely wipe out waves

Le Monde de Cortex by Xaneos 2023-10-05T13:09:32Z

This was a cute little game. I will say if you bunny hop around the planet you will get to a point where you are just orbiting the planet super fast (which I think is fun but that might not be the intension)

Space Sumo King by Danjoricey 2023-10-04T22:27:23Z

It's a super fun and simple game that has a decent amount of replayability. Multiplayer could be fun in the future if you keep working with it.

Torch by Gyrooo 2023-10-05T04:17:44Z

Big fan of the cell shaded artstyle and thought it blended really well with your light based mechanics.

VoidChamber by Volnick 2023-10-04T22:14:16Z

I love the central concept here. At first I was like, why wouldn't I just hold 'Q' but once I knew you could throw the cube, I feel for it. Being able to fly by throwing it over and over, and juggling it in a wall jump is really fun. My main gripe with the game is that the wall jump feels not so great and the jump feels inconsistently floaty.

Defrost by bogotolec 2023-10-04T21:57:05Z

Fun with friends, but it's hard to tell where objectives are without a map or any UI to tell you where they are.

Glutton-Free by andypang1010 2023-10-05T13:25:03Z

I really commend you for finding a simple, yet really fun gameplay loop, and polishing it as much as possible. It really showed!

Escape the Slime Lab by Redoxeide 2023-10-05T03:55:02Z

I think its a pretty innovative concept that works pretty well. I'm also a big fan of the graphics, they are super clean.

Untitled Roach Game by themolx 2023-10-04T22:18:53Z

I'm not sure what happened, but it did happen and I found it funny

Walled In! by Jack728 2023-10-07T00:19:42Z

I love the simple, yet charming visuals. I'm just a big sucker for good pico 8 games and this is a new one to add to my list. Good job!

The Boxing Goat by joey gugler 2023-10-13T14:20:12Z

I really enjoyed the concept behind the rope and how you're able to create difficulty by making it easier to get yourself tied up. I did have a bug where I couldn't pick up the star, so it never disappeared but I think it gave me invincibility since I could no longer take any damage. That's just my best guess of what happened, but I kept trying to run into projectiles & enemies and I couldn't take any damage. However my first playthrough was completely fine since I never encountered a star. Despite the bug, the game is fun and challenging, this is good work.

LD55 — Summoning

Summoving by BathPirate 2024-04-19T04:00:47Z

This is a really sick puzzle game. I absolutely love the play on words here and it's resulted in a really engaging puzzle structure. My only critique is that I wish there were better ways to visualize your solution. Maybe moves you place chart your path so you can see it, but don't update the obstacles since navigating those is part of the challenge. Just a suggestion, overall I'm super impressed, great work!

Summons Racer by paulhocker 2024-04-19T03:54:46Z

I think my favorite aspect of this game was how fast how you were able to go. It was a bit of whiplash at first but I found myself able to navigate the level at around 60 mph which is ridiculous but a fun challenge. I think maybe adding some sort of heads up for when cars are coming would be a good addition, especially for cops. It would help give the player some more time to make a decision which would help a lot in a high speed game like this.

Glyphwalker by Papaver 2024-04-19T20:42:08Z

The level design is really intuitive and smartly designed. The visual style was also really neat, great work!

My Pet Demon by ghost-in-the-toast 2024-04-16T04:40:49Z

A really fun game, despite getting stuck in the beginning a few times I played through all the way to the end. I was definitely not expecting that twist at the end, great work!

Gacha Panic by Squidly 2024-04-19T04:13:45Z

The art in this game is absolutely incredible, you all did a great job. The game has just a joyful feel to it, it's great. Now I'm going to be stuck grinding this in order to get a good score. Some of the people in the comments here are way too good at this.

Unfamiliar by Untitled Studios 2024-04-19T17:37:29Z

Help.PNG This game is really sick, I really enjoy experimenting with various items to create unique monsters. I will say I did get soft-locked as shown in the photo. They both don't do enough damage to kill each other so they just infinitely heal. I honestly think it's pretty cool that this can happen but adding some ability to prevent this or give up would be nice. It is very funny though

Veiled Ocean: Echoes of Nautical Grief by WiredOverload 2024-04-19T17:50:57Z

Overall this was a really cool game. My biggest critique is that there was a lot of bullet spam so it was hard to properly switch spell types since a lot of the time I had to go to the edge of the screen to dodge bullets. I would have been cool if the points to switch weapons would move with you and then if you want to switch spells/summon you would hold the button which would then prevent the guys from moving. That way you'd be able to switch spells wherever you're at. Other than that it was really fun to test out different spells, the fire one is crazy. Great work!

Tao by leorean 2024-04-23T16:51:55Z

Another super awesome Pico-8 game, it was very well done. Once I got the wind power I ended up going back and tried breaking some of the other screens since it's so much fun to use. Level design was really good, overall a great game. Excellent work!

Sick of Summoning by cheesepencil 2024-04-19T03:44:00Z

For a handful of hours on the last day, this is super fun. It's simple yet satisfying, great work!

I Just Want to Bake a Cake but a Random Wizard Keeps Summoning Me to Teach Sums! by Frogravity 2024-04-19T18:01:41Z

I love the visual style of this game, it's really fun. I saw a couple of other comments talk about this but the math portion is a bit annoying. I would be reading through some of the recipe trying to figure things out and then get dragged away from it only to forget where I was at when I came back. I just found it a bit distracting from making the cake (which would have definitely been super cold at this point, I was not very good at this). Overall though it's a very striking game that oozes charm, great work!

The Summoning Circle by Harmadillo 2024-04-19T04:06:54Z

This was a neat little game, great work!

The In Between by Adam Gallina 2024-04-16T03:56:22Z

Overall a fantastic puzzle game. At first it's super simple but once things start piling up I found myself pausing a lot and rearranging my layouts in order to optimize. It's a very satisfying game loop and paired with the strong visuals and sound design, made it a really fun experience. Great work!

Helloons by CasualNothing 2024-04-21T03:29:28Z

The main mechanic of this game is super neat. It's a lot of fun to experiment with and all the designs you've included are nice challenges. Here is an absolute masterpiece I was able to create

masterpiece.PNG

I was trying to make a little present and then I realized I could rotate the view while drawing so chaos happened

Attack of the Teves by Yernemm 2024-04-16T04:16:42Z

The levels of satisfaction here are awesome! It feels so good to blow up some enemies, nice work!

The Summoner´s Business by Janinna21 2024-04-21T03:46:57Z

I really enjoyed this game! I echo the sentiment of the game taking some bit to understand but once it click you can get into a really good rhythm which is very satisfying. My only gripe is the controls are a little weird. My best guess as to why it was space and ctrl was so that you had more of you fingers available for WASD. I would recommend maybe shift since it's a little easier to hit than ctrl, but it's just a minor thing. I was playing for a good 15-20 minutes and my hand started to cramp from hitting ctrl. Overall y'all did a great job, congrats!

Nexus Conquest by Blazejmg917 2024-04-23T02:11:54Z

An absolute banger through and through, the artwork is kinda goated. Great work!

HELLSPAWNER by Thomas Gelman 2024-04-16T15:50:39Z

This game is very epic

Wittle Wizards by MisterCarson 2024-04-19T18:18:39Z

@yoruvii @pseudonclide @mr-kvinter : Thank you! The graphics were really fun to work on, I'm glad y'all enjoyed it.

@alldee : Getting it working over parsec is so sick, so happy to hear that works and that you enjoyed it!

@jkazuk : Thanks for playing. My best guess for why it wasn't working is because for some reason unreal 5.3 doesn't separate the first controller and keyboard as separate control schemes so you need at least two controllers to get it working. Sorry about that

Summoner's Tower by willhoit 2024-04-23T16:36:47Z

This is a very clean, fun puzzle experience. I appreciate the lower levels of gravity with the random pieces because a lot of the time it would yoink one of my base pieces but i'd be chilling since the gravity isn't too high.

Duck Spawner by Myse 2024-04-19T18:14:58Z

The auto-click duck spawning strategy is unparalleled, I now have infinite ducks! Super cute game, great work!

Magecraft Timber Troupe by Liam Squires 2024-04-16T16:49:22Z

This was a really fun resource management game. There definitely is a lot to think about and I found myself regretting not buying more spells since them seem like they'll be very powerful in the later nights. Overall a nice little game (love the spell names btw)

Some Munnings by SoBad 2024-04-16T16:30:09Z

That was easily the funniest game I've played so far in this Ludum Dare as well as last Ludum dare. It's such a simple concept done to perfection, awesome job!

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Dungeon Crawlers by Skyeward 2024-10-11T19:13:13Z

I absolutely adore the visual style of this game. It's really goofy having these super realistic bugs with cartoony environments and characters. However the shader and bounciness of this game is awesome, I really like it. In terms of gameplay, I'm kinda terrible at pokemon style games so I didn't get too far, but I can appreciate the game for what it is and not knowing the type match ups (probably should have read the book) is refreshing. Overall this is a super cool jam game and super impressive for 72 hours.

Chanterune by Kerdelos 2024-10-11T15:10:38Z

This is easily the best game I've played so far this jam. Its concept here is amazing, finding songs to unlock new interactions with the environment is amazing. The atmosphere of the game is so strong. This game does not feel like it was made within three days. You guys should be proud, great work!

Karma Keepers by Nazariglez 2024-10-07T19:43:00Z

This was a neat little game. I was a little frustrated at first because it doesn't feel like you're able to turn anyone so I only had a couple of guys, but once you buy a lot of upgrades the tides turn really quick. I ended up playing through the whole thing, which took around 20 minutes and required all the upgrades. I do think a little more interaction or maybe the turning of enemies could be faster but it is so incredibly satisfying seeing all the souls count up. Big number make me feel good *thumbs up

Burning Bells - Lilleborg 1259 by xand 2024-10-16T19:43:49Z

I really love the color scheme of this game. It's very bold and works really well. Love it when the sky is yellow in media

Tiny meat boys by Byzilio 2024-10-11T18:35:23Z

This is a really fun puzzle game with a great mechanic. Not gonna lie, skimmed the description so I was playing the first few levels without knowing you could freeze the guys. Once I found that out though everything started to click. My only gripe is I feel like you should have a limit of how many guys you can freeze. A lot of the later puzzles just boiled down to freezing everyone that I didn't want to move then moving the guys and unfreezing them afterwards. Having a limit per level would require a little more thought on who you freeze and when you freeze them. Overall this is a great game and I really enjoyed it, great work!

Tiny World Mayhem by Transkuja 2024-10-11T19:49:16Z

Love the aesthetics, and the gameplay is really fun. The car is really hard to control but it's addicting to play and get better. Overall a great little game, good work!

Little Critter Pizza by Turquoise Moon 2024-10-07T14:20:03Z

This is a really fun game. I really like how you can customize your hand color, it's a small detail but it's cool that you were able to include things like that.

AFTER HOURS by seltzerfish 2024-10-16T20:01:47Z

This is a fun little game, I love the variety of the mini-games and they are all well executed. My one gripe (it's super small) is that on the fish mini-game I thought that the ground would have collision and the fish went down there and I got really confused. Obviously there is no collision there, but it's the only part of the game where a visual element doesn't have collision. It just threw me off a bit so a little more distinction with the background would help but thats the only thing I can find to improve. This game has a lot of charm and it's really fun. Nice work!

Cordyception by Rakthalekk 2024-10-07T22:54:57Z

I really like the graphics on this game, especially the little creatures, they look really good. However the game felt really floaty in a bad way. With the amount of restarting I had to do, it got a little frustrating because I had to start over my solution which most of the time devolved into waiting to fall. The puzzles feel like they didn't have a clear solution. One of the puzzles I skipped a whole bug because they served no purpose. Another one required me to push things in mid-air to solve. Maybe I'm stupid but trying to find obtuse solutions where I only had one chance for each bug caused me to restart a lot. This paired with the floatiness, made the game feel really tedious. The early puzzles are fun and I really enjoy the aesthetic of the game, however the late levels however feel very tedious and punishing

Glimbo's Defense by AtlasFlame 2024-10-11T01:33:24Z

It's not original, but it's true, this game is fun. It's very simple but it works super well. I ended up getting a score of 13,895 (the difficulty ramped up out of nowhere. I was caught by surprise). I don't know how effective it was but I really liked how the artillery had infinite range. You could set it up at bends or at the end of a row and it would hit the entire path. Overall this was a really fun game, great job!

Betty's Tiny Adventure by Catakun 2024-10-11T01:49:20Z

Overall this is a cute little game. I really enjoy being able to farming my little guys. My only complaints are that movement felt a little slow and I wish I could attack a bit faster. Other than that I enjoyed catching different slimes, its a good concept well executed. Good job!

Slingshot Delivery by i_cam 2024-10-07T02:05:59Z

This game is so sick. Sling shoting yourself is a blast and it's super sick at high speeds. I will say there does feel like there is a lot of asteroids, but you do learn to navigate around them. Just a few less to make it more open would be cool. I was able to get a high score of 11

Espionausage: Wiener Takes All by IonBingo 2024-10-11T18:57:02Z

This game is sick. Big fan of the concept, I also just enjoyed the ability to gamble and play fair. The cheating mechanics are super sick. Overall it's a great game thats fun to play, good graphics and music. Nice job guys! (Unironically think the game softlocking when you lose is a feature. It's the ultimate gamble)

Gettin' Squirrely! by Cliff Coffee 2024-10-11T01:21:00Z

This is cool little game, I'm a big fan of the stick to walls mechanic. It's definitely super jank, but it is a lot of a fun and opened up the level a lot. I will say climbing the trees is super hard with this mechanic so some refinement would really help the game feel better (especially since they are covered with acorns incentivizing you to climb them). I also really appreciate the small details like your cheeks being filled with nuts and the jumping and landing effects. For a solo dev, I really liked how you were able to get those small details in. Overall it's a fun game that you should be proud of, great work!

Chipmunk Defense by lBroql 2024-10-07T01:56:13Z

This is a fun little game. Beat it on my first try and there are definitely some strats your can pull out which is fun. My biggest criticism is that acorns are a bit harder to see but I could just be playing at a small resolution. Overall this is some great work, good job!

The Scrimbly Bimblies by SMoore 2024-10-07T01:51:42Z

This is a really simple but fun game. Dashing feels pretty good and goes pretty far so it feels nice to snipe guys at a distance. I was able to get a high score of 30 which feels pretty good. There seemed to be set spawning with a timer so is there a hypothetical "top score" or is there no limit?

The Jumpy Mouse by Coleronius 2024-10-07T23:54:24Z

This game is super baller. I'm really bad at it and haven't beaten it but I got sucked into it for over an hour and plan on playing more. This is great work, y'all should be proud
