Took me a minute to understand what was going on but after reading the directions I was fine. Really neat concept! It was a lot of fun trying to keep up with the timer, and the sausage is very silly. Cool art style!
I think an easy improvements would be to add some guide UI, to help give the player direction in game. Also the eyeball design of the suspicion meter made me think it was tied to being seen and not time taken.
Very cute game :) I love casino style stuff in general, so this is a big hit for me. I couldn't figure out how to adjust the bet if it was possible, I could only go all in every time. This became an issue in one instance where I had 20, it would be a very poor choice for me to hit on that, but no way to manage the risk of dealer getting a 21. Maybe I just didn't understand the game though.
I must say I'm a fan of the sausage mechanic, I love how it changes perspective! Very cute and silly, a much appreciated shift in tone (Even if the table has Dracula playing too).
I liked the choices of VSTs, it has a retroish midi style which is pretty nostalgic.
I think a tutorial might be in order, but I liked this game a lot :)
I really like the camera cutting away to the different view as the sausage friend rolls around the table! An amusing twist on a casino game--cheat, but don't get caught!
The title, Espionausage, is also firmly in the category of "so bad it's good" ðŸŒ
The game started very abruptly and I didn't really know how to play, playing by the rules at some point made the room completely quiet while everyone just stared at me until I closed the game, didn't find a way to get the suspicion meter to go down again aswell. But the concept is interesting and seems promising
Cute game
The game is really confusing on how to switch out cards of your opponents, but I see the idea and it is pretty curious, the game really needs a lot of bug fixes tho, but other than that, it's a pretty interesting gaming
This game is really fun! I love the perspective change and the extra twist it adds into an otherwise simple game! The art and audio are great, and it feels really fun to play!
My one note is that it might be nice to have some additional UI to help explain to the player what's happening, and a quicker way to restart if you lose.
But all in all great job!!
Cute game! It took me a few tries to figure out what my objective was. Funny that the game "crashes" intentionally, but it is unclear to the player that that is happening. Absolutely love the music and visuals! The music changing when you enter sausage form was really cool. I also think some better indication of controls in-game would do a good job at teaching people how to play. That all aside, still a real neat project. Nice work!
I think some extra UI feedback might be good. I love me some blackjack or poker based games, and this seemed like it would be a funny take on that.. I loved the vibe and characters. :)
I was very confused at first. And it was unclear when the dealer won or what happened at the end of each hand. Some UI feedback would help there I think.
If you just wait too long, the game crashes too.
I had to try again after reading the directions... but I still was a bit confused on how to cheat etc.
I loved this concept though!!
This game is sick. Big fan of the concept, I also just enjoyed the ability to gamble and play fair. The cheating mechanics are super sick. Overall it's a great game thats fun to play, good graphics and music. Nice job guys! (Unironically think the game softlocking when you lose is a feature. It's the ultimate gamble)
Had some troubles runnning the game (real crashes, not the 'normal' one :D), my computer maybe. However, the art is really nice, and the concept very interesting ! Well done !
The art is really amazing, and this is one of my favorite games with cards, I always play it, and you did it really well, great job!!
This was an otherwise really great game with fantastic graphics just marred down by how it just kept freezing and closing out of nowhere every time I lost. It felt like the game just wasn't working correctly the whole time
I like the idea of the game (playing as a sausage to cheat is a very funny idea), however I think it's a bit too hard to fully understand and play; it doesn't give you too much time to act and when you lose the game simply closes.
Nice graphics, cool gameplay also nice concept!
I think the man beside me might be a vampire. I offered him some sausage but he declined and instead started biting my neck and drinking my blood. I really don't think my blood tastes as good as a nice sausage.
The game is pretty and it's a really cute idea, good job!
I like the artwork and music, but the gameplay felt so erratic and confusing.
Sometimes I'd lose when seemingly nothing was happening and my meter was only halfway. One time I lost immediately upon launching the game, just after my second card had been dealt, with zero user input. The UI overlay also doesn't seem to appear until I hit spacebar for the first time.
And when in sausage mode, the meter fills extremely fast, I barely have time to even roll over to another player's hand before it fills and I lose. Exiting sausage mode doesn't seem to cause the meter to stop rising, and if I panic and click hit or stay to try and abate the meter, I usually lose instantly anyways.
The game seems to just totally softlock when I lose. Characters are still animated, but my only option is to alt+f4 and restart the game.
Overall I think this game could really benefit from much more clear feedback on exactly what's happening. Why is my meter going up? Why did I just lose? How many chips am I betting?
(Apologies if this seems a bit harsh, I'll say that the actual card mechanics were implemented nicely, and again the music and artwork were very nice.)
I love the way of story-telling in your game. the play was confusing but you made it :)
