Interesting concept and I like the graphics. Well done and good entry.
Well polished and good looking! nice job!
great game! The low jump height was probably intentional, but made movement feel kind of clunky, the game also completely froze up after I beat level 2, wouldnt even let me restart, just kept me in the level. From what I did play though, the game was good!
Interesting concept! A bit finicky here and there placing the objects and jumping into them at the same time. More levels exploring the possibilities of different shapes, dynamic environments, shapes that move, could be fun.
Really cool game. I think at certain points the puzzles could focus less on platforming (unless thats what you are going for). I wish there were more levels, but what are you going to do, its a weekend long jam. Cool mechanic, cool concept, nice graphics.
Cool game, nice twist on the theme that makes for interesting puzzles. I could definitely see this being expanded upon with more levels and mechanics.
@blackcat508 thank you for playing and for the feedback! I do think I have to play a bit more with the movement mechanics. As for the freezing on level 2, I was not able to reproduce it, but The game did have a bug where if the player reset the level while it was already resetting or loading a new one, it would break. I just fixed it, so perhaps this is what was happening?
Interesting game mechanic. Level 1 did a great job of explaining how to use the platforms for wall jumps. I couldn't figure out Level 4 though, maybe an extra tutorial level before it could help smooth out the difficulty?
I also felt like I had to be pretty fast with my mouse clicks to build some platforms. Perhaps when you click, the platform could "lock in" an intermediate ghost-like stage, and once the player jumps inside, it becomes fully solid?
Overall a nice game. The art looks really nice and is what drew me in to the game!
@mcbombadev Thank you for playing! Yeah, I would have liked to add a tutorial for the buttons and the baseball, but I couldn't make it in time.
I agree on the platform building. The "lock in" is a very interesting suggestion that I hadn't thought of before and would probably solve most problems. Thank you for that!
Great job! It is hard to come up with a level for puzzle game in such a short time and this game has three different puzzles. I like the idea and the execution and it was fun to solve levels. Sometimes it was frustrating when I placed shapes logically correct but off by a few pixels. Maybe moving shapes with a grid snapping might prevent that.
I think its a pretty innovative concept that works pretty well. I'm also a big fan of the graphics, they are super clean.
Nice puzzle!
Very cute graphics, nice colors and an adorable jumping sound. The game plays really well and I didn't notice any bugs. Feels well-polished (even with the lack of main menu ). The idea feels fresh and new to me. I'm good at puzzles and bad at platforming, but the platforming elements didn't feel diabolical  Great jam job!

Really pleasant pixel art, and an intriguing mechanic! I like that you have to be inside the box when you place it. It puts an unusual spin on the idea of placing platforms. I do think tweaking the size of the platforms and jump height slightly might make the placement of pieces easier! That might help bring the focus more to the puzzle solving. Overall, this is a great entry!
This limited space helped our little Slime, fun game to play, starting to look forward to spaces with more shapes and effects! Nice job.
Very interesting take on the theme!
Very clever idea, great job !
Great game. I haven't seen any game with tha same idea. The art is nice. Music would have been a big plus. The character controller might be a little to fast & unforgiving on the edges of the platforms.
Nice entry overall!
Super cool mechanic that would be fun to explore, love the graphics. Nice!
Thanks for submitting the game to the stream! If you wanted to watch it again in the future heres the vod timestamped to your game

Great Job! This game took a very unique perspective on the theme, and implemented it well into its puzzles and overall game loop. Your art is very well made and I appreciate that you continued to fix and update things even after the Jam ended. Great work!
A very good implementation of the theme of this jam. The game has a good level design, nice graphics and sounds. I gave the game high ratings.
Wow, very cool, really liked the concept, I thought we'd done pretty similar concepts buy, but yours has a lot more action to it.
The ball puzzles were very unforgiving with drag/friction haha, te amount of times the ball stopped 1mm short..

@johnnysix Thank you for playing!
Yeah, the ball stopping just a little before falling has been a theme with players. I intentionally made it heavy and with a lot of inertia so the player could give it a good impulse for a while before letting it roll on its own, but I should probably lower the drag a little bit more.
I am checking your game right now .
Very cool game! Quite the difficult challenge in creating a small platform to parkour around! The style reminds me of old miniclip games
pretty cool concept!
I like how it ties into the theme it's pretty clever!
the graphics are also good, very nice spitework! some music would be a welcome addition!
I tried the jam version then I tried the fixed version (which makes quite a few quality of life improvements. I will say it took me a bit o trial and error to understand how the gimmick works. I didn't have as much fun as I could have had cause I found the controls to be rather clunky and the placing of the shapes was very precise in the jam version.
One criticism I do have for both versions is that the character lacks any momentum build and that is especially apparent when I jump because there's absolutely no control on the distance the character will jump. I found that rather frustrating at times because I caused me to fail the last puzzle quite a few times. I managed to finish the game but I think that would be something really nice to have fixes
I see potential in this if it will be more polished and expanded upon with new gimmicks and other shapes possibly!
@tetracold Thank you for playing and for the feedback!
Yeah, I planned to do music, but I could not get it done in time.
As for the momentum, could you clarify what you mean by this? Do you mean horizontal or vertical distance? I tested the jumping control using the post-jam version and I can control where I will land by letting go of the movement key or pressing the key for the opposite direction. You can see three different jumping distances on the next gif.
jumping.gif
First jump is letting go mid-air, second is keeping [A] pressed, and third jump is pressing [D] mid-air. I didn't record letting go of [A] just before pressing jump, but you do get a jumping distance somewhere in-between the second and the third jump.
The jam version however, did not have this. The slime would full stop mid-air if the movement key was let go. You could still control where you land with the movement keys, but it didn't keep momentum.
So maybe that was for the jam version?
If you mean controlling vertical distance, I do plan to add variable jump height, just couldn't get it in the current post-jam version.
Again, I really appreciate you taking time to write feedback about my game!
@redoxeide
yes that's what i meant, it was mostly in the jam build in the build the post gam one wasn't as severe but I still encountered it a bit. maybe it's the speed of the character that gave me little time to react, not entirely sure tbh
@tetracold alright, thank you. I am still working on how to improve the movement. I'll see what I can do without breaking the difficulty of the puzzles, thank you very much for your time!
Cool game. Cute graphics.
Nice game. Love the retro graphics and sound. Well done.
Really like the concept and the art is charming! Gameplay-wise I think the game might a bit too unforgiving. In the later levels I jumped and tried to place a block on the elevated blob (which I guess was the intention behind those levels), but being able to actually place the block wasn't easy. Especially in the last level I failed a lot, not because I didn't know the solution, but because acting through my solution failed a lot, which is not great for a puzzle game.
@le-don Thank you for playing! Completely agree on the block placement. It was one of the main things I changed in the post-jam version. I think movement and block placement feel so much better now.
Thank you for your feedback!
