I'm absolutely loving this game! It's incredibly topic-centric, intuitive, and loads of fun to play. The concept of illumination playing such a crucial role in exploring a maze is genius, and that's what makes this game truly stand out.

Yeah, thats good. More levels please.
The way you revealed the large torch towers and the gate in the distance felt good. Those little camera move cutscenes. Pretty fun game already, but of course I'd like to see more.
Excelent work, the anxiety is real when the torch is going out. Checkpoint system is cool. Great job!
Well considered and developed game! Loving it!! The art style cooperated well with maze and delivering a mood of eagerness to find next torch and escape.
Good job!! I think the game can have more levels to develop after this jam. The torch keeps pushing me move forward. I can definitely feel this limited space

Very cool, I love how the torch running out pushes me to explore the maze more so my torch wouldn't die out
fun game! only feedback I really have is that maybe adding a timer would be helpful, as sometimes I wouldnt know when my torch was going out.

Cool job! A good amount of mixture between refills and checkpoints.

I am not sure, but I believe you have have opt-out of getting any ratings, this is too bad, if it's a mistake you can change it in the games setup page. But the game is pretty fun. Maybe a bit too simple a maze, but this is not a big issue. Overall a good jam game.

@InfinityE @herman6006 @mdotedot @BlackCat508 @Braeden @Toasteto @ZhiyuanGu @foufoufou @Thenerdster @mortusnegati @Oznarox @lplus thank you guys for your feedback! we accidentally opted out of ratings earlier, it would be great if you could rate it now! thank you :)
Wow impressive very well done congratulations
Interesting game, reminds me of dungeon crawling in D&D in which you have a limited amount of light. I found it kind of easy though, and the size of the maze was bit overwhelming at first. I think it would've been better if the game started in a smaller chamber in which you learned how the mechanics worked, then it would gradually lead you into bigger rooms. I liked the spinny circle in the center! Overall very nice entry, and the art & audio are good. Congrats!

Seems like it have a lot potential but for me it was too easy
The visual style was very cool and unique, it reminded me a lot of early 3D games-- which I love!
I must admit, I got stuck on the title screen for WAYYYY too long trying to figure out what to do. I know it *says* to give the guy the torch, and this may just be me being an idiot, but I thought that was like... a metaphor for playing the game? Or like a tagline or something? I like the creativity, but I feel like a more traditional title screen would've worked better. Especially because the mouse/the drag mechanic isn't used at all anywhere else in the game, so it feels a bit out of place. I also think it would've been cool if we actually got to see the mummies. Even if it was like, they freeze when you get near them if you're holding a torch, but then they actually follow you at a distance if you aren't being careful.
But a very fun little game nonetheless!

@viktorthegreat We wanted it to be a metaphor, like the protagonist gets the torch through the player; Perhaps the player can start the game by using wasd to control a beam of light on the main character
Pretty impressive and easy to pick up and play! good job!
I didn't read the description of the game and just started playing but everything made sense very quickly (which imo is a good game when it's intuitive but you still are learning the mechanics as you go). Very well done and love the art style!
I really liked the art style! A bit more of a tutorial/goal explanation would have gone a long way. It took me a bit of time to figure out where I was supposed to be going. But the gameplay was smooth once I did. nice job!
I actually really liked the starting screen, that was a fun way to start off. This was also an interesting take on the theme. Great work and nice entry!
Big fan of the cell shaded artstyle and thought it blended really well with your light based mechanics.

Pretty cool game, I liked the visuals and the torch mechanic. I would have liked it to be a bit longer, but still a very cool entry!
