SO atmospheric!! I only managed to collect two? three gems? But I liked the idea. For some reason, specially the mines and being able to shoot at them :D

Wow, this is really good. Especially the shooting and dashing feels satisfying. Bit sad that there's only a windows build, but it runs just fine using wine.
@notnasiul I may have spent a lot of time thinking about making mines, then implementing mines, I am glad you got joy out of them :) @noodlemaster Glad to hear that it works on Linux using wine.
ooooo the mines I love them. That was satisfying. I like that the sounds are actually accurate to what you might hear underwater. Also, the ram attack is pretty sick. I think it's overall pretty polished, and yes, atmospheric! I also really like the font. Great job!
The mine explosions alone are worth pressing "play" for. So satisfying! SFX are fun, and submarine shooter is a cool concept :) Gave me real "Aquanox" vibes.
Game controls were too sensitive for me. Hard to control anything. Every time you restart you have to go through the instructions again.
Maybe a video of how to play the game would be good
The (average worker 25) portion which seems like a sort of par number is a bit misleading considering every fish in the sea is absolutely wild about seeing your innards become outtards. I really liked how frantic and chaotic it was. I think for it to feel a bit better, the air bubbles should give you a bit more time? I'm also very bad at game haha. 6 was my best after about 7 attempts and that was because I just ignored all the fish and tried to rush what gems I could find. Super fun. I'll probably come back and play this some more haha.
Wait... was that a SHARK with a friggin LAZER beam attached to it's HEAD?!?! or am I just hallucinating after a long jam? :D :D :D Loved it! See you in October?
Very fun game! The quick cycles of gameplay give it that nice quality where you immediately want to jump back in again to improve your previous high score of gems. I usually got eviscerated by the laser fish before I could get a nice gem count going, but I did get five gems once in my best run, barely making it to the surface with the boost, a real nailbiter! SFX were great, it's fun hearing everything go off when you're in the middle of laser and mine chaos, those were great. All around great work, very well done!
25 is hard to start with, my man. But what a solid work here. Laser fin fish are bad ass.
Love the visuals and sound effects, and the gameplay loop is pretty good!
I think the laser shark was a bit too vicious haha, but I liked their concept. I wish I could go to the surface and go down multiple times, I was having a lot of fun collecting things, exploding mines and defending myself from the fish, but the time pressure was a bit too much hehe.
But other than that, great entry, really solid! As others have said, the SFX and effects are very satisfying, and the controls are intuitive. Good job!
So, this is how you make a _fun_ submarine game? Restricting the time so much was a good choice, I think, allows for consequence-free experimentation. Great job!
Neat game! I wansn't very good at it, but it was entirely user error. The mines were super fun, and the fish with the laser eyes was cool.
Nice! That was a thrilling game. It took me a minute to understand what was happening, but eventually I figured some things out. What's the high score?
This controls fantastically. Shooting feels good, great feedback when you hit the mines, and thematic too. The laser sharks killed me more than once. Cool entry overall
A fun little shooter with a twist. Good stuff. More attention could be payed to telegraphing threat: a lot of the sounds were confusing (was I being shot at by swordfish?) and the lack of visual communication of enemy attacks (I think this is what most of the confusing sounds were?) made it hard to know for sure what was happening and how I should respond. Always try to communicate important information to the player through as many channels as possible (good job on the icons pointing to these threats though, nice touch). Thanks for sharing. Now to spend my gems...
UI was almost all great, the end of game text didn't fit the rest of it but that's minor. I like the models, "fish with gun" is a good bit. Gameplay was a little rushed feeling for me, and seems I either ran out of ammo or couldn't shoot for some other reason too soon? Unless the intention was to approach this in more of a stealth manner? Performance had some issues (lag somemtimes, hitches, etc) that was unfortunate (I'm not playing on a super old computer).

The best I managed, haha. 25 definitely seems reachable, even if very difficult. It took me a bit to realize the laser fish are similar to Minecraft's "guardians" in that you can survive them if you interrupt the line of sight (although I think for the latter it cancels immediately rather than waiting until the moment of firing). The real bastards are the anglerfish, since they take 8 bullets apiece and appear to be immune to the mines.
Two exploits I noticed (I didn't cheat to get the 16, though!): 1. If I go upwards at the start instead of downwards, the oxygen doesn't start depleting and I can still shoot bubbles and crystals 2. There doesn't appear to be a world border, so I can go outside and under the world and start picking off fish from underneath
Hard to control. But I was on edge — the atmosphere really got to me!
Took a bit to get used to the controls, but the graphics are nice. It's quite an experience. The audio and fog make it feel very tense.
