this is really cool! parts of it remind me of dont starve. i loove the idea of frequently-walked tiles becoming paths, that's such a cool interaction. it would be nice if the visual for it was a little subtler, i initially thought it was destroying the terrain and making it so i couldnt plant on it anymore (which i would also accept as a perfectly viable mechanic. actually i never tried planting on cobbled paths, maybe that is the case). having things to discover in the world is also very fun, even if it's just one main thing in this case :)

Liked the concept. I too thought the paths were a nice touch. I did get kinda lost in the map at one point and didn't feel like going all the way back. So something like a minimap or a compass back to the monster would be cool :)
It took me some time to learn the controls (keyboard) but then again YEETING a carrot away was really funny

The mechanics in this game are great! The systems combine to create a really fun game play loop. Trying to manage hunger for your squad of summons and the monster while also being strategic about your own traversal to manage tile development and crop growth results in frantic, fun game play. I'd love to see this concept developed and polished further.
Not the game I was expecting from you Toni haha very surprising! cool stuff!

Oh, this game is addictive! I played it until my firefox crashed... (Yes, my firefox crashed, it might have to do with the game? I had a lot of gardening going on...) I like how it is getting more difficult, but at a very slow pace! The xcv-keys felt a little arbitrary and I always confused them.
Great game loop you have here! I definitely had a bit of trouble getting up and running but once I understood the mechanics I was really in to it. It would be great to see this idea fleshed out and polished up a bit more.
I know you did say "controller recommended" and I'm not sure if this would apply as much if you were using an analog stick to more around but I did have a little trouble with moving too quickly on well-trodden roads with the keyboard.

Nice! Cool concept and surprisingly engaging once I got the hang of it. Controls took a bit of getting used to (are all 3 buttons necessary? kinda feels like you could do more contextual controls with just one button maybe) but I definitely appreciated the gamepad controls. The desire path feature is interesting but of course a little annoying once you can't plant on it anymore. Not sure whether the helpers were worth it or just a resource drain. The carrot economy is pretty bad so once I got a 14 carrot request I was just done for, so that was frustrating. Still really fun overall, great work!

The concept is cool and addictive. Making water easier to throw at plants would be nice because sometimes it's hard to aim well.
I really liked this game, it makes me want to play a more polished version! Good job!

My favourite thing was escaping the monster after he appears haha, sometimes bugs become emergent gameplay. After I learnt the difference between some of the planted sprites and finished sprites it got more fun, at first I was overwhelmed but it got better on the second play. Nice one
