I- um- there is no link to the game
Well, there's always Extra
I'm sorry everyone! This was my first Unity and VR project and my building of the project was fraught with issues. I had build the whole thing go find out that it wasn't set to oculus and I don't have a just pc build yet. As I dug to find out what I was missing, I noticed that I needed an oculus developer account. Struggled with that for a few hours, and finally noticed that their services were down for developers. And when I noticed this, I had lost track of time and it was midnight already somehow. I am going to back out of this jam now as it is WAY too late to post anything. I'm so sorry everyone! I will still try to vote if I can. I will post the link here to my itch.io when it's able to be posted. Sorry for this everyone. I was so excited to join this jam and I'm incredibly happy with what I came up with. First vr and unity ever! It was exciting! Now I know, and I'll be ready come April. Thanks again for a great jam friends!
I suffered from a LOT of build issues. But FINALLY I have something to show for all the work I did lol. I hope you all enjoy it who have vr. And soon, I'm hoping to get a non vr build for it too!
@flyingkaida one suggestion: you could change the type of your game from "Web (other)" to "Oculus", so it shows up on the list of games made for it: https://ldjam.com/tags/platform/oculus
If you make other builds like WebGL and Windows you can repeat the same link with different types, like I did with my game (which has the same url for both "Web" and "NES")
I didn't see the Oculus option! Thank you I'll look again!
I'd love to build for WebGL but sadly the controls used to capture the hands and headset aren't able to be ported. I am planning on making a windows release, but I'll be using a script to match those interactions and map them to the mouse/keyboard and unlikely to be able to be in webgl.
I have connected this on my PS VR, a weird hack around but it worked. But got a lot of gitter so I don't think the my PS VR is handeling it so well. But congratulations on trying this.
Just wanted to ask if there would be a non VR version - after reading the comment section, I would like to ask when it is going to be released, this weekend maybe?
Work has been super busy this week but I am working on it. Trying to learn how the XRI interaction tool mocks the vr controls. It is a bit wonky, looking to get really into it this weekend.
Doesn't seem to be working on my PS VR :( is there some non-VR version?
Couldent get it to work on my vr :(
I don't have an occulus so I can't even try to try the game.
Just tried to play this on my Quest 1. It starts up and shows the 3d-environment, but sadly, the tracking/camera movement instantly breaks (updates like 10 to 20 times per second, but jumps around very much, even if I don't move my head) and makes it unplayable for me. (Tracking works fine as long as I'm not running the game).
Anyway, congrats for being brave enough to do VR in Game Jam for the first time and getting so far with it!
