Great game! The ranged enemies can be a bit frustrating to fight though, since their attacks are hard to doge, and I got a huge lag spike whenever I went near the tree. The art is very pretty, and the game had a good sense of progression.

I don't like pixels in the whole, but i love this girl and her animations, realy good job! I get a lot of fun, it wasn't expect. + cool ambient makes nessesary mood, thanks!

Fun game! It ended up feeling a little repetitive and one or two other attacks could have helped with that. I liked the small details in animating (different jumping, falling, and other animations).

I've found [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFsJIrm2btU) to be really helpful in designing platformer controls - it gives a lot of helpful tips on how to make platformers feel a little more fluid. Especially since you're just starting out, this video could be helpful!

Really good job and well-polished game especially for only your second game!

@john-wuller I just watch the video and I found I actually did almost every trick he shows lol. did I set my jump buffer and coyote time not long enough? which part you think I should improve most in platform jumping?

The main thing I noticed was that the coyote time felt a bit short. It would have been nice if it were a bit longer. It's really good tho if you already knew about these things - even if it's only your second game, it sounds like you've got plenty of game knowledge then!

I was kinda lost in the in the controls and ways to interact with the world. Maybe that was my lack of attention, but I couldn't open the doors cuz I didn't know that I had to pick up the star from the tree. Also game crashed when I started the second level (or third..?) while getting damage from 3 ghost at the same time. Art is nice tho

@witchgf yeah it still has some crash problem, i also notice it after submission, just restart it should be fine. and, i did want to do more guide for the game actually, but turns out I dont have enough time. there are a lot of thing i want to do but didnt due to lack of time, more enemies, some decorations on the map, more chatting with your sword, a short story maybe. well, that's another fun part in LDJ.

@john-wuller when I talk with my friend(no game developing experience) about coyote time he was surprised that it exist and think it should not be exist for most of the game lol, so i did makes it shorter than i was planning to...

Awesome idea and pixel art! Congrats on getting the job done.

My feedback: Combat controls felt a bit frustrating, the enemy could stop your attack and stun you. Also the attack felt delayed. I think it made the last 7 enemies that are together too difficult.

@diego-teran i set attack to be "release button" to trigger (I remember it is because i feel it be easier to add a charge attack), think that's the delay comes from. it's the first time i try to add combat, and my long-term project is gonna include a lot of combat, the more problem i found, the better! Thanks a lot!

i like the combo attacks and its animation a lot. that's some cool detail. but i would love to have a way to cancel my attacks so that i can escape from attacks. maybe this is a personal perferences thing though.

Nice job! I really loved the main character design and animation - the run cycle looked amazing! I liked the idea of the enemies respawning if you don't harvest them, and also getting health back from harvesting souls. Combat felt a little bit sluggish but not so much as to really effect my enjoyment.

I remembered playing your game at LD51 and there was definite improvement in every aspect for this one!

Nice looking game, I really liked the pixel art but the mouvement / attack fell very sluggish and unresponsive Maybe being able to attack and move at the same time would have helped a lot ^^

I loved this! The running and attack animations are fantastic. I thin the mechanic of returning to the tree works really well. Did you really do this whole game by yourself! Great work!x

This was great. Really enjoyed playing through this. Looks lovely and animation of the player was great. Nice soundtrack as well. In terms of game play, the platforming and combat was good but could do with a few more attack animations and maybe allow for movement of the player sooner after attacking, when there were multiple ranged enemies I found myself stuck not being able to get an attack on anything without taking damage as well. Fantastic for a second game!

Pretty incredible! I liked the graphics and music and I thought the game felt like a cohesive whole. It ramped up nicely in difficulty. At first it was a little hard for me to tell the two enemy types apart but I got the hang of it quickly. Cool game!

I really enjoyed this game and for 72 hours I really think you nailed everything that is required for this concept. Of course if you did have infinite time, I think it would be fun if the last fruit gave you a double jump and you had to replay all the levels finding the places that can be accessed with the double jump

Wow the animations on the character attacks are so well done! The scythe harvest animation is just amazing. Good presentation and pacing overall. The only part I felt was a bit clumsy were the attacks themselves. Felt a bit weird having them lock you in place.

Nice platformer! I feel bad not being able to attack in the air. That last wave seemed impossible, I'm honestly not sure how I got through it.

@koboldskeep I always cant control myself to give player something really hard at the end lol. I'll try not next time. and actually, there are not gameover, when you die you just get back to the tree with 3 health, so, try to jump to one side and kill one or two, then die, get back, kill few more. yeah, that is what i thought when i feel it was too hard myself, yes, i know it sounds silly.

Insane visuals and animation but the movement and attacking seemed pretty slow to me, the fact you are stuck in place when you attack and the rigidity of the movement seemed to contribute to it
