I think you need to publish the itch.io page. The link doesnt work

@sam-horner Thanks for noticing! It's live now!
Had lots of fun! Didn't quite understand what the signals would do (not really explained in the tutorial), but the idea was quite clever and a very nice spin on the Tower Defence genre. Art and music were also nice.
Only problem was that some spawn configurations were kinda rigged, with the "Tower" to defend being out of range from any turret, making it impossible. Otherwise very cool game, it was a fun time!
@vanny96 One big thing is the opportunity to re-position the turrets during the planning phase based on indicated goblin signs.
Thanks for playing!
Oooh that's indeed what I missed! Might try another run keeping that in account!
Very fun, the mechanics work very well :)
The game has a lot of potential. It's really frustrating to realize that your turret just keeps firing at the wall over and over, but it's also a lot of fun. Well done!
Dope game! The soundtrack and sound effects are really! The incoming sounds of incoming airships and vehicles nailed the feeling and build anxiety.
I'd been happy to play more levels or somekind of eternal mode with increasing enemy amounts.
Great job!
@pierre-marie I hope your tried to re-position the turrets during the planning phase. Thanks for playing!
@zamizmi Thanks for playing and feedback!
This was fun! I would've loved a chance to push a bit further and have EVEN MORE turrets, just complete power fantasy of 10 turrets all turning on one group of goblins, but what is here is a really good length for a jam game. It's a good time, and doesn't outstay its welcome.
@joeshanahan Uu, wouldn't like to be that goblin looking at 10 barrels at same time! Thanks for playing!
I thought the idea of designating a firing zone within the turrets’ range was clever. It’s really fun to play, especially when combined with the setup phase at the start of each level. Congrats :)
Really fun to play this game, the art is nice and sound also is great!
Very nice take on the tower defense genre! I kinda like what you guys did there with the battle phase: instead of idling and waiting for your towers to slaughter the waves, there's actually something to do for the player.
The game plays very well, the graphics are beautiful and it's a very polished entry overall. Great job!
@n-o-x @milana @juutis Thanks you for playing and feedback!
This game was Great ! Had to think where to place flares to get max effect and that flares don't run out.
@zamizmi for long while we played the game without any vehicle sounds, so when we implemented them I was full of glee. The fact they start when they are spawned and play out a long while and just get louder was one of my most joyous moments of creating the game :D They worked out better than I imagined they would
nice work innovating on td formula
Oh, I like the idea of a tower defense with manual targeting. It looks really solid! Thanks!
I had fun, the graphics are cool and everything match together quite well. It's a good take on the TD genre which tends to be passive sometimes but here with the flare it works well. Good stuff !
Completed.png I think one of my favourites ive played so far, cool use of the theme aswell.
@bigdippers I'm glad to see finally some real victory evidence. Congratz and thanks for playing!
Wow, tower defense but with signalling. Makes it more interactive, I love it.
Only critique point is that it's too short! I wanted to play for longer :D
@jakob-meier Sir yes sir! We take that critique with open heart! Thanks for playing!
Fun! This graphic style is perfect for what you're doing here. The signaling mechanic is a new twist on tower defense - and a hard one, when there's multiple streams to deal with! Multiple overlapping towers - esp with the missile launchers in play - seemed to result in wasted overkill flares. Can I target just machine guns vs just missiles?
This was good fun, I liked the mix of planning with the setup of turrets and reflex with placing signals. Turrets shooting at the walls was a little annoying but I learned to place them in better locations. Overall loved the vibes!
Very fun, although the goblins could have spawned a bit closer.
@dissonance-generator Deployed flares signal to any turret on range to fire there so both types will act. Thanks for playing!
@boxofcuriosity Wall shooting was something we left in to emphasize the timing of flares even more. Thanks for feedback and playing!
@kayrum We were thinking also about making the spawning even closer but finally felt pretty good with the built anticipation especially with the bombs and cars cause. Thanks for feedback and playing!
I really liked the idea, and I imagine it was quite challenging to implement. The visuals look nice, but it would be great to add more “indie-style” feedback so that things like taking damage are easier to notice—for example, when you're focused on another group of goblins. Though maybe it’s intentional to make the game more challenging. In any case, the tower defense implementation is very original. Great job!
@chakramgl I agree that there cannot be too much feedback! Thanks for the feedback and playing!
Good game, I liked the sound design and mechanics. At first, you get lost and don’t understand well, but you get the hang of it after some time. A bug? At one point, there is a spawn area visible almost entirely on the map, but the enemy does not appear on it, but further away. Good job !
@loki-drams If you could remember which wave and position of the possible spawn indicator glitch was then could better know. Thanks for feedback and playing!
Yes, second wave, full north. The enemy in general does not appear on the circle, but over there, the enemy has started to bypass the obstacle further east and west.
@loki-drams Thank you! Generally indeed the indicators are not fully accurate as enemies indeed navigate by taking into account the obstacles so that is something that just happen but I will check it.
A fresh look at the popular tower defense genre. I liked it!
Wow, you've made a nice entry! graphics are really good, sound design is also great. I initially disliked the manual control, but then got a hang of it, and placing towers to create fire zones got really fun, and there is a lot of potential to add, like walling.
Overall great TD, I dont remember anything similar in TD Genre
Hahaha I loved the concept and the sound+graphics combo! Looks great!
Fun game with a unique TD spin and nice aesthetics. Two main issues: the signal mechanics weren't clear from the tutorial. Otherwise, solid work and enjoyable gameplay!
Cool Game GJ !
honestly theres nothing i dont like about the game. Well done!!
Cool idea! Really fun to play this game!
First thing that caught my eye: the map's almost monochrome style makes it a bit tricky to tell enemy paths, walls, and walkable areas apart. 🤔 Maybe highlight them with color or subtle shadows? Also, it'd be great if enemies stayed marked for a short moment after leaving the circle—so turrets can still lock on and fire! 🤔
Love the concept—just a few tweaks and it'll shine even brighter!
@dwang Thanks for playing and concrete ideas which we really need to concern!
The game has good newgrounds games vibe, cool sound-design and interesting idea! But the game lacks smoother pacing, as it is very difficult to keep track of three turrets and a crowd of goblins at the start. On the first wave, I would like one or two turrets and a little fewer goblins for a smoother immersion of the player. Keep it up!❤
@pocketdog welcome to battle zone! We were thinking about starting with less turrets but we tried to tune the difficulty otherwise manageable. Thanks for playing and feedback!
Cool and fun tower defense. Great work!
GREAT GAME, probably among my favorite Ludum Dare 59 games, through i wish it was longer! -J
@runningopenloop Thanks for playing! Any proposals what that longer play time could include? Longer waves, more level layouts, new enemy types, ...?
A very polished game. I love tower defense and had a great time. Great job!
@ottobroccoli Good to hear feedback also from people who actually play TD games. Thanks for playing!
I was thinking more weapon types and more waves, maybe more new enemy types that do different things, like maybe a goblin with a gun and it shoots at your stuff. -J

Nice to see tower defense entry! simple but fun!
Really well made game that's very stylish too! The graphics are perfect for what it is, colorful, pretty yet very clear to read. The start and end screen made me giggle too! The choice of music and sound creates a really epic atmosphere. I liked the novel mechanic of having to manually order your turres where to shoot. This was really novel for a tower defense game - and actively participating made it way more fun for me than sitting back and watching!
For me, the game was pretty much on the easy side and I would have welcomed 1-2 additional harder levels. It was still super fun and leaving a taste for "more" is a very good sign!
I played on my phone, worked like a charm (I didn't miss being unable to reload manually, there was enough to do already)! Just at one point I somehow placed a missile and gun turret on top of each other and couldn't separate them again. This was not much a problem during gameplay though.
@purrseus Solid feedback! The parts you enjoyed were something we were also proud of. We would love to of course add more levels and content but that is the pain of the game jam as we know.
It is surprisingly solid in mobile indeed (except the manual reload as not really designed mobile in mind). Not sure if that unit merge was also something because of mobile but it could be turned maybe into a merge feature!
Thanks so much for playing!
Top entry I love the cartoon graphics, the music and the mechanics feel fleshed out. I like the signal gives a mix between hands on and hands off which fixes my biggest gripe with TD style games when your big turret goes for the single baddie and not the big group!
@darkshadow Thanks for the amazing feedback and playing!
I don't normally like tower defense games but I actually really enjoyed this. I think the signalling system and the environmental occlusion are good mechanics, the graphics are also really cute. I especially like the little touches such as the impact effects when bullets hit the walls. Though some sort of indicator for how long a flare has left would be good. And also some sort of visual or sound cue for when something is being damaged would also be useful.
@mrturtle We are glad to hear that our TD interpretation worked for you. Thank you for playing and concrete feedback!
