LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Terrarium Combinarium by Joel Davis 2024-10-07T22:35:42Z

Pretty fun and interesting mechanics! I bet with the right strategy, there could be really high score. In my first run, I got 375 but I know it was very suboptimal.

I really like the graphics! The water animation looks nice and the critters are cute.

Sadly, in Firefox, the game crashes for me after downloading. The first error looks like this:

Aborted(Assertion failed: !failed, at: /Users/ruby/dev/luxe-runtime/runtime/render/luxe.render.backend.gl.cpp,3652,init_program)

I played in Brave afterwards but it was quite laggy and slow. Still fun to play but I bet the naive build is better. No being on Windows, I couldn't try that though.

@thepiratenun No, I'm on GNU/Linux, Ubuntu . But I just tried the new build of the web version, it's now much, much smoother! Thanks for the update, I'll give it another play through now :)

Slime Store Simulator 2024 by gamesplusjames 2024-10-09T18:56:43Z

Fun game! I love purchasing a bunch of slimes and yeeting them all through the door before sorting them by color to different pens :D Very cute slimes!

Ants! by Emilija Marija 2024-10-08T11:22:24Z

Lovely game, great job! It's a lot of fun to walk around with the swarm of ants and then trying to avoid the inevitable anteater that threaten my little fellows.

Btw, since others seem to have problem ,I was able to play it here on ldjam.com without problems (using Firefox)

LD59 — Signal

Signal Steve by Isaac Hisey 2026-04-21T20:24:11Z

**STUCK?** Press space ON THE DOOR! It will show the target signal.

I don't know why, it was absolutely not intuitive to me to interact with the door. I would inspect everything else but not the door. Maybe a visual hint that there is something to look at on the door would help? Something that looks like a display with a signal drawn on it, for example.

Cause here am I, was counting and studying every detail of the placements in the rooms, trying to find a hint on what shape, amplitude and frequency the game wants from me haha

RESCUE by Petr Vejchoda 2026-04-21T19:38:59Z

Great concept! I also like the graphics. I didn't figure out how to use the probe effectively, though. Just digging seemed way more effective :D

Too Many Goblins! by Tykki19 2026-04-21T20:57:09Z

Wow, tower defense but with signalling. Makes it more interactive, I love it.

Only critique point is that it's too short! I wanted to play for longer :D

Hubble Horticulture by Soothsayer 2026-04-22T23:41:50Z

Just played it through in HTML5, now I read the comments... I thought the broken Unicode was all intended!!

I was confused when I couldn't decode the symbols to submit over the console. But the broken Unicode display shows the numbers of the actual Unicode, so I used that to look up the symbols. I thought it might be part of the puzzle to figure that out? Whelp, now I know it was a web export problem. Anyway, the extra layer added fun for me :D

Took me almost an hour to get through but I enjoyed it!

MORSE SHOOTER by AstroAceOne 2026-04-21T19:25:51Z

Works great and instantly got hooked, pretty fun gameplay!

My Room by xiamuivan 2026-04-21T19:53:06Z

I don't understand Korean  Is an interaction with the bed just game over? Falling asleep or something?

Lovely graphics btw!
