Haha this is splendid! Good that you added the collateral limit otherwise I'd have gone berserk on those cops! Great idea and well executed.

Haha yes the collateral came before the second beam mode, but it turned out to work perfectly for balance!
nice ufo, and actually transferring humans to visit other worlds via your transport bends spacetime.
Actually seemed pretty balanced as far as the challenge went. Each HP was very valuable, and the risk/reward of getting additional HP felt good.
The concept is really nice and gameplay is solid, though as all ludum games some parts didn't have time to get balanced. The beam feels a bit too slow, so you'll be waiting at times without anyone else noticing your beaming. Perhaps if no cops notice, it could go faster. Also I had to search one time for some Charlie Z so long, though the perhaps fell of the map, but instead was near the house with his name sign stuck in it. The little quirky dialogue was fun to see & read and overall presentation was done really well, progression worked marvelously.
Neat job!
A solid entry to the jam! well done!
A ufo with the waepon of death :) . Solid intoduction into the game. Smart concept of the colleteral and upgrade box. I think if you amp up the speed like @svenerik says this could be on steam with some polish! Really nice game.
I really like the low poly graphics and the humor. Some ambient music would increase the mood. Quite consistent game overall. Good job!
i recognize that house, but it def worked and was solid gameplay. was def a game! nice work!
Loved how the game responded to everything I tried to do like how the start where I beamed up the wrong person to introduce the list and the tutorial that added the new mechanics and suggested new ways to play as you went along. Also liked the bonus cleanup mission and other bonus missions. It had quite simple mechanics/gameplay that worked well and got. I would also like to suggest an idea of being able to dodge some of the projectiles and regen health in some way to make it feel perhaps a little like a bullet hell so that the game can progress into an exciting chaos as it gets harder. Great job it was quite fun.
You really have something neat going here, needing just a bit more polish!
'Tis grim indeed, but the cuteness of it all makes me feel not so bad (except when I accidentally drop them on the ground and they don't get back up ðŸ˜). The reaper is adorable and I love the little animations during the briefings. Suitably cute li'l people and level as well.
I played with a gamepad, which was great to see support for, and almost managed to finish the third arcade level before I got overconfident and tried to grab someone amidst too many police offers (I think everyone was in this level?) and got hit by one bullet too many.
You managed to get a nice amount of upgrades and mechanics in there, always progressing with each mission, which was good. UI could stand to be a bit bigger because I took a bit too long to figure out my mission or start keeping track of my stats. Definitely needed those health pickups in the later levels, so that was a perfect thing to introduce.
Of course audio would've done wonders, and some animation on the saucer, but I liked the particles in the beam.
This one lands somewhere in the middle for me, as it was really quite good as a game, but just lacked the extra stuff to really make it feel complete. Good candidate for some post-jam glow-up! 🛸
Yayyy, that was great ()! I was wondering why I wasn't able to take people with me at the beginning of the game, so I was happy to see my wishes were responded to (xD)! It's simple, but I did end up liking it -- I ended up dying before finishing everything, but I think I was *relatively* close to the end, seeing as there are no more controls than what I had. I think the dialogue added a lot to the game, I wish there was a bit more to do, but it came out well, you should be proud!
