LD52 — Harvest (18)

Comet Cowboy by Jonathan Alderson 2023-01-23T10:40:06Z ♥ 0

The mechanics are epic! If there's a game released with this gameplay style, I would love to play. The graphics were simple, but enough for this short game jam. The music was relaxing and created the mood for the game. Nice job!

That was sick! I felt very satisfied when I finished all levels. It's hard to see these kinds of fully finished games. The animations, sound effects, and gameplay were all very great. I loved it!

I don't know if I'm weird, but I felt the vibes of Zelda. I surprised to see a full package game here in a 72 hours game jam. I loved the gameplay and the art. I hoped the animations could be a bit more smoother, but in general, it was a well-made game. 👍

Harvest City by digital bacon 2023-01-13T16:40:02Z ♥ 1

The art is beautiful! It definitely gave a "farm game" mood because of that. I think there needs to be a little more work the system. I'm not sure why I couldn't "sell" the wheat once I brought it. Maybe I missed a step, but there were other bugs mentioned in other comments. But, considering the effort you up in the art, it makes sense. The art is amazing, and I think if you had more time, the game would be much cleaner. Good job!

Soul Harvest by serg-z 2023-01-13T16:30:24Z ♥ 1

I was disturbed by the fact that I was enjoying "harvesting" people's souls. The sound definitely played a big part 😂 It was very addictive to play, which is great for these kind of short games. It was very satisfying once I unlocked the last weapon.

If you later add shop system, I think become an even fuller(?) game. Nice job!

I was surprised you could think this story up within a weekend! The UI and images are quite well-made, and I would like to play it when this game fully develops, if you are planning to. Nice job.

I'm excited to see how this will develop in the future. I always enjoyed these farm games, and I liked it a lot even though there was only one plant. Later, if you could use them to buy/sell, fix rocket and go to other planets, etc., that would be fun.

One bug I found: if the plant automatically "harvests" itself, the ground becomes unable to farm. I'm not sure if you intended this, so I'll just note it here.

Great job!

The macos version doesn't open... :( The game looked fun, so I'm sad 😢

Protect Your Farm by connorwmackay 2023-01-12T16:15:15Z ♥ 2

Great game! If you develop more variations to plants/turrets/enemies, I think it would be a fun game! The gameplay was very clean and easy but addictive. I loved it! The music was quite distracting though... other than that, good job!

Seeds Must Grow! by Neon Glass 2023-01-12T10:50:56Z ♥ 2

It took some time to get used to the rules, but once I got the hang of it, it was fun! One thing that confused me was the sound made when a crop grows. I wished the sound effect was more positive. I thought I was failing until I saw the scores go up. Other than that, it was a nice game.

If this was like a mini game part of a farm tycoon, I would love it! The mechanic was simple, but it gave me the feeling of actually harvesting crops. Considering it was made in 48 hours, it's a great mini game to play. If you could evolve this into a tycoon, I think it will be a good game.

Drake's Fortune by chompdev 2023-01-12T04:36:35Z ♥ 2

It was a really fun game. I enjoyed wrecking the castles haha. The system was very simple, yet it was able to keep me playing.

Corntacular Spectacular by Icoso 2023-01-12T04:20:11Z ♥ 1

The UI was very clean and well designed. The game was simple to understand, but it was also fun to play. The transitions and animations were also very smooth. Nice job!

Hare Runner by Crychair 2023-01-11T09:45:15Z ♥ 4

A great game! It should've been quite challenging to work in such a big team for a short amount of time, but it definitely got a good result. I never saw a game jam with a game that has voice-overs. Nice.

The UI and the background were very clean. If the music was a bit more calm, that will be nice. Good job.

Strange Orchardist by BoxedMeatRevolution 2023-01-11T09:34:57Z ♥ 1

Did you make the sound for getting the fruits? I found that hilarious for some reason 😂. The map was quite challenging, but there was always a way to solve nice. The maps a very balanced. If you add like a title scene and ending scenes, I think it'll be a great indie game. Nice job!

Brewester by Chaoseed 2023-01-11T09:23:39Z ♥ 0

I love the concept. I always enjoyed playing these management games. I think if you add a bit more challenge, like knowing what crops to plant or adding timers for each orders, it would be even better. Nice job!

Bow Knight Drifter by Kostas Nik 2023-01-11T07:17:20Z ♥ 3

It was really fun. I really liked it, and I think I played more than I should've lol. I love the fighting mechanisms, and it feels great slashing and shooting enemies.

Frankly, I'm not sure if it fits the theme very well. I get where the "harvest" is, but it's not exactly the main theme of the game. Despite it, it's a very well made game, and if you tweak it more with stories and UI, I think it can be a very popular game.

Zarguuf's Big Berry Heist by bradur 2023-01-10T09:18:10Z ♥ 3

It was quite fun and challenging. I played the normal level, and it was very engaging. I feel like there could be an easier key bindings for the spells, but that was also part of the challenge for me. Also, the tutorial was well designed. It was easy for me to understand. Nice job.
