Interesting start of a game. I like the fancy action animations.

Interesting start of a game. I like the fancy action animations.
love how it looks when you do all actions in sequence, moving side to side, it's quite cartoony. unsure if it's a bug or meant to happen, but if you take too long to harvest a plant it drops its seeds on it's own and leave the tile in an unusable state
Nice job, while definitely a prototype I can definitely see the potential of this one coming together to have a flourishing moon farm.
Cool prototype, I am curious to know the next game mechanics of this game.
Colors of the game are well picked.
The only "negative" point I see is the lack of content, there is only 1 thing I can do and it's to plant the same plant, but I understand it is a prototype and I'm excited to see the rest!
Good job to you!:)
A nice little framework for a game to be built around... fun to imagine making a little farmstead on a meteor! The space constraints could make for interesting gameplay
I love the art in this game, interesting minimalist style
Cute Game. Great art. I had fun with the simple concept spamming farm plots and harvesting the plants. Great work.
@togo-sepultraut Thank you, I'll look into that!
@bloodfin Thank you so much! It means a lot!
Good start for a prototype. Doing everthing by yourself is quite challenging. I'd like you to incorporate some enemies and have have background music.
@creativecodingsebastian Ooo good ideas! I've been focusing so much on character controls!
I really liked the mood and the graphics of this game. Felt very nice and chill. Great job!
Nice graphics and mood. Movement can be improved a bit (seems there's no diagonal movement). Looking forward to the full game!
Hey wow! I didn't think anybody else besides me used construct 2 to make their game for Ludum Dare anymore!
This is really cute! I love the solid colour style, it's very charming.
I'd love to see this expanded upon! I can see you exploring across different islands in space to collect and harvest different crops- maybe you're trying to reach your home planet, and you need to harvest the plants of the various islands to achieve that goal! Overall, great work!!
@passbykamenrider Thank you, I've fixed a bunch of bugs and added diagonal movement in my current offline build.. I'm not too sure which direction to take the game right now though. Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement!
@sillyman987 It's just you and me now! I'm not sure C3 is much more advanced anyway?
Obviously as a prototype there's not much to it right now (I wasn't even sure what the ultimate goal was; the spaceship crashed, but all you do is plant and harvest seeds?); but definitely forms the basis for future expansion.
A form of Stardew/Harvest Moon in space would be the obvious choice, maybe following the sci-fi theme with some factorio style automation?
@moosey Yes that's the overall plan, I just nee to work out mechanics and such. In the non-live version I've added a jetpack.. but what's to stop you from just using it to get home rather than harvesting plants and such. I need to re-think the game's hook!
@amkingtrp Yes exactly but I don't want to just make a clone of one of those games
@TweekStudios I've thought about using construct 3, but the pricing is just way to expensive for how little I use construct 2!
@sillyman987 Yeah and I've already paid the one-off price for C2 so might as well use that!
Super fun entry!! I thik there's a real potential to grow something here, it's very likeable! I love the color schemes!
@starlet Thank yooouu! I hope motivation strikes me and I work on it some more!
A nice consistent artstyle. A good base for a larger game. Good luck!
I'm excited to see how this will develop in the future. I always enjoyed these farm games, and I liked it a lot even though there was only one plant. Later, if you could use them to buy/sell, fix rocket and go to other planets, etc., that would be fun.
One bug I found: if the plant automatically "harvests" itself, the ground becomes unable to farm. I'm not sure if you intended this, so I'll just note it here.
Great job!
Fun prototype and the idea has a ton of potential and I do like how it looks, great job!
Despite the simplicity of the gameplay, and the lack of a bigger objective, I enjoyed the ease of the controls. Having space do the entire sequence of actions from digging to planting to watering was a nice interaction. And the style, while obviously minimal, does evoke some fond memories of games like Katamari Damacy, which is a win in my book. Would be interested in seeing where it goes from here!
@toosalty0000 yis that is the plan! I've been doing a bit if brainstorming today! Thank you for your kind comments!
@thorpalsson thank yooooi I hope it ends up progressing well as a game!
@artsyomni yeah one of the colour schemes and antenai is inspired by Katamari! Thank you! Let's hope development goes well!
Nice prototype! There is no goal, but the mechanic of harvesting is very satisfying. Also the game mood and grahpic are great. As an artist I love this kind of flat color style without shadows.
@dmitrygaliastl thank you! I was planning on maybe adding a shadow under the player character, is that what you mean? I'll get around to playing everyone's ^ games when I'm back home soon btw!
Such a nice looking, very well playable little game! Brought down to the bare essentials makes this game very special. It is more than a prototype. It has its own right of existence! I like the graphics and animation! And I like very very much that you kept it to the important game cycle: dig, collect seed, plant, water, ... I have played a few games who made it more complex and failed, as it was either clumsy or not finished. But your game focused on the core - that is an art in itself! Congratulations!!!
@itzemii Thank you SO MUCH! I'm hopefully going to start working on the full game soon. If you want, I can let you (and everyone else on here) know when I have something playable in the future! The game sadly is going to be more than just planting and harvesting hehe!
Gameplay feels aimless, just do one thing over and over again. In addition, sometimes space doesn't activate the action, however the tile is highliteted.
Nice start to a game. The art looks nice and I especially like the character selector + palette swaps you created (with the palette swap also affecting the ship). Was going to mention diagonal movement but looks like youve already handled that
@tricky-fat-cat is just a concept with a couple hours put into it!
@ategon yes yes, diagonal has already been fixed, but not in this version. Thank you so much for your kind comments! <3
There are a lot of places to go if you decide to finish the game. It would definitely add a lot to the game if I had to take care of the water source, protect my crop from pests, could build automatic irrigation, etc. In any case, you made a great prototype and an original LD entry. Good job
@mira Thank you! One of the things I was hoping to do with this game was streamline the process of farming. Rather than needing to craft/equip a hoe, then equip the watering can, go find water etc.. I wanted it to be sort of cartoony in that respect too! Again thank you for your comments, I'm working on a new version of the game right now!
Cute design! I liked how simple the mechanics were.
@secrt101 Thank you soo much! Watch this space in the future!
That's a good start! I'd suggest to have the arrow keys and the ZQSD keys working to move, as some country don't have QWERTY keyboards :)
@bobo-oh Oh I didn't think about that, thank you!
I really liked the farming sim on the mood idea - a good, pretty foundation for a game and I'd be interested to see what comes of it. It was cool to have a character creator - not something I'm used to seeing on a jam game, and I really liked the colour scheme. Going forward it might benefit from diagonal movement instead of only moving directly up/down or sideways.
@alex-de-la-cour Yes indeedy with the diagonal movement! Yeah I added it on a whim, I'm so glad everyone liked a little bit of character creation! Progress on the full game has started, slowly, but it's going!
Interesting idea and prototype, sometimes the patch below the one harvested bugged and couldn't use it, but overall a nice game
@lenan yes thank you! I've fixed that bug.. but I haven't updated the LD version with the fixes, it feels kinda cheaty.
I love that you devoted the time to make a character creator. Also the triple plant animation for some reason reminds me of Bugs Bunny, and i love it! :))) Its a good base, and maybe it would be cool if you get the time to release the more worked on version the game for LD extra!
@kikiriki367 I forgot about Extra. I was planning/hoping to make and release the game in the future though! Probably more than a few months?
Yeah that sounds good as well! I just meant showing people in the jam the direction of the project would have also been really cool :)). But in any case ill actually give you a follow and maybe check up on the game durring the next LD JAM :))
While it's pretty straight forward, this is the first game I saw with character customization! The animations are also adorable, and the general aesthetics of the game is very appealing! The movement controls were slightly clunky, but it still felt good- I definitely see potential in this game! Awesome work! ^~^
@kikiriki367 that's awesome, thank you so much!
@pazzi Thank yoooou! I've been working on a post-jam version, progress is slow, but it's happening! There's a dev log at the bottom here: https://tweekstudios.itch.io/moon-harvest-test
Nice start of a game. I like the clean graphics.
@flying-dog-fish Thanks! The post-jam game is progressing too! I'll post a playable version in the future!
Very nice game, I love it. bravo
@eudeub Thank you! You don't mind that it's just a prototype with 1 mechanic right now?
Game is simple but joyful. I wonder what it will looks like if you develop this concept.
@brainles-etertainment thank you! The post-jam version is coming along actually!
The Prototype has potential, and I am looking forward for the post-jam version
Yeah I also had the problem with the Spacebar action, it seems to be more often with tiles adjacent to one above, but retrying helps sometimes...
The game could have some danger like falling of the asteroid - in future versions maybe?

@oillen Ooo that's a great idea, I had planned for something like that too! Thank you for the screen show too btw, it's the first one I've received!!
Nice little prototype. I like the clean visuals, and love the simple controls. Good job.
@ismael-rodriguez Thank you so much! ALl of these positive comments have encouraged me to work on the post-jam version! <3
Cute prototype! The graphics were very cute, and the crunchy sound effects made placing the plants very satisfying. The mood was great, and despite the fact there was only one type of plant, it was still very fun to do. The only thing it needs now is a bit more variety and perhaps some sort of end goal!
Overall, very good stuff and I'm looking forward to the post jam version.
Thank you @stormcat! More plants and an end-gaming coming soon! Look out for a demo at some point I hope!
I liked the implied (but clear) story that didn't have to get in the way and left a bit of room for imagination, but was compelling. Same feeling about the art style, actually - clear but left room for imagination while still being interesting.
I appreciated that I could explore the system without being tutorialized. Always smart when there an entry is light on content to get that extra bit out of the mystery of figuring it out!
Tending the garden and growing it was fun for a bit, too. I tried jamming seeds into the hose (smoke?) coming out of the back of my ship to refuel it, searching for an end goal, but I think it's just not there, right?
Cool prototype!
@pkenney Yeah sorry this version is very limited, there's no end goal and you can only harvest one type of crop. The post-jam version is coming along though, so keep an eye out for that!
Cool prototype! Would be nice if there was a clear objective / end-game but I know it's hard to do during a game jam. I think if you even added something really tiny (like after you harvest 30 plants the game gives some kind of "good job" title to wrap the prototype up) it would be a little bit more satisfying way to end the game. Still I really enjoyed my time planting and harvesting crops in this game :)
Here is my playthrough: https://youtu.be/AOIqcU3vjjM
@matank I wasn't able to add much during those 3 days, I was a bit under the weather too I think. I've done a lot onf it since, but that demo isn't out quite yet, soon though! Thank you so much for playing, I'm staggered you got over 5mins of gameplay out of it haha!
