Enchanted Scarecrow Gone Wrong by Skosnowich 2023-01-18T02:29:17Z
I'm not sure if it's a problem on my side, but the game just stays a white window- could anyone give me pointers on getting it to work? It looks super fun Q-Q

I'm not sure if it's a problem on my side, but the game just stays a white window- could anyone give me pointers on getting it to work? It looks super fun Q-Q
@skosnowich Ayy Thank you! It worked! Sorry I'm relatively new to code and this is my first LD jam, so I'm still bebe in basic knowledge ^~^ This is the best tutorial I've seen so far- and the gameplay is suuper satisfying on the second run xD
yoo.PNG
Ahh this game is so satisfying the sound effects are super nostalgic of my minecraft days.....maybe I should revisit my old world... xD
The music at the end had me regretting pressing the button Q-Q
Beautiful game, in every way...just wow. <3fishie on me2.PNG
.....My babies......my..... Q-Q
This is my favorite....game....
Ayyy this reminds me of the good ol' broodwar days.... I'll have you know my actions-per-minute is abysmally low, and I lost all ability to micro after wings of liberty came out haha. The pathing, while simple, feels quite responsive, unlike StarCraft 1 dragoons haha! Great work xD
Movement is awesome, aesthetics of the game is just *chef's kiss* - beautiful! Very creative use of the organs as weapons xD It was difficult mostly because I had trouble aiming, and the enemies seemed to have incredible reach. Overall, an amazing game!
That was pretty intense. Even without context and minimal dialogue, this game was pretty thought-provoking. Though forgiving, there were some challenging shots, and I had a lot of fun! Great job! where.PNG
I didn't survive very long, but I could tell that you guys did put good effort into your game. I really liked your concept and the aesthetics- even without sound there was a good atmosphere to the game, and while I am a bit sad I couldn't do much it was intriguing nonetheless!
I totally understand how hard it is to make your ideas come together when under strict limitations- Good work! you should be proud of your first entry! An unfinished game is infinitely better than no game at all!
This. Is. Amazing. First off, gameplay is smooth and innovative! The graphics is gorgeous and the sound really adds to the urgency with the ticking/bubble sound, while also being serene. Easy and intuitive to learn, but takes planning and timing to master. Amazing work! ^~^
The seamless transition between the main melody and the battle melody is beautiful. I suck at words but I'll just say, you have my deepest respect. Kinda gives me chibi Yasunori Nishiki - leitmotif vibes.... My heart ghhhhh!?!? Everything is wonderful, but the music is what I love the most ^~^
This was very hard! The 3-shelves mushroom near the cave entrance is fake, the real one is hidden within a bush) The green-moss one with the redeye & black pupil is found in a low altitude dead end surrounded by 3 walls, next to a boulder) All in all it was quite nice and I genuinely enjoyed playing it! maybe some birdsong would make it more immersive! Capture.PNG Awesome game ^~^
This was really simple, but also really satisfying!Capture.PNG
Yes, the intrusive thoughts have won. I've won... But at what cost? Seriously was not expecting this level of polish in a compo- the movement feels great, visuals are amazing, the voice acting was hilarious and intuitive, and really added to the experience. Amazing work! ^~^
Ayy finally the comment works for me!
This game is lowkey genius! My first game I died on day 14, and I was gonna call it quits.. But the survival game lover/hoarder in me needed to find closure, so I gave it another go. Oh boy, I absolutely loved this game! It must be the exploration of the unknown aspect, where I try to find the perfect super food! I’m sure there is better food, but I managed to win with a potato-lettuce variant! Amazing work! I loved this one!!!
Also, tutorial was greatly appreciated! >~<
Brilliant. The dialogue, feels real and unpredictable at the same time- I'm at a loss....brilliant! ^~^
AWW MAN! I seriously wish LD jam gave one more day- this game would have been awesome! First off, the art is amazing! The doggo is adorable and almost gave me a heart-attack when I clicked xD
Second, gameplay looks very polished despite not being complete! Even without the instructions, the mechanics were intuitive enough for me to complete my first order and burn the body- The cop meter is a unique mechanic that adds another dimension to the otherwise (relatively) straight-forward gameplay!
It makes me really sad that this has such few reviews- it really does deserve way more! For future reference, I recommend ***JummBox*** if you're short on time for music- it's free, open-source, and extremely easy to use in last-minute projects!
Awesome work! ^~^
I didn't quite understand how it worked despite the tutorial, but I thoroughly enjoyed making patterns over and over again while listening to the music- Loved it xD
@kikiriki367 Ayyy thanks! I looked at the chart above and it all made sense! I absolute love this game ^~^ Ayy.PNG
@kikiriki367 Haha I'm flattered, that's awesome- no problem with that lol ^~^
@skosnowich , @no-whone , I was gonna let it slide, but you guys just had to talk smack. Sit down! @kikiriki367 , I think I've earned my rightful place once more ^~^ Ayy.PNG
@skosnowich @sakura-magika @kikiriki367 I'll reveal my secret. I restart until I get 4 trees and a cottage xD
Also, I gotta say- this is my favorite game (had a few early faves, but after reviewing 80, this one is most enjoyable- partially 'cause of the community lol) ^~^
@skosnowich Aye! I do think rng plays a decent role in the yields- good picking, and good luck! ^~^
@no-whone ........how!? HOW!? Well played bro. I dunno if I can beat that honestly. What have I unleashed upon the world =___=
I would also love if this were a mobile game with a global leaderboard. Maybe a few more scenarios with seasons and regions too.
@kikiriki367 a good way to mitigate refresh play is to lessen it's impact somehow, maybe decrease the cost of refresh, or have the starting island begin with at least 1-2 trees, so people who rolled only houses will still have a chance
honestly though, I don't really care about the score too much- more like I wanna play more of this game! A new group of islands to experiment with and play perhaps? xD
PS: I think this game is very balanced- easy to play, relatively hard to score extrmemely high.
pollen.PNG This is my score and I'm proud of it ^~^ Awesome game!
I can live foreverrr! Fun! I can pick up fish from bottom of lake! I can shoot deer and eat on the spot! apples roll away from me!
Gold.
oh deer.PNG
I have so much respect for you man, you did all this by yourself- holy cow! This is a full game! With minigames! All you needed was a little musical doot! The art is adorable too xD
fram.PNG
This game was super adorable! the controls feel nice, and the dark mechanic encourages to constantly cycle skills for maximum vision control! I love it ^~^
Hey this was pretty cool! The controls felt pretty good and I like how I can equip the tool just by walking up to it- This is one of the better feeling controls for straight-farming mechanics! Nice job! plante.PNG
This game was intense! The last level especially was satisfying when I got out just in time xD Capture.PNG
Congratulations on your first gamejam! It's always nice to see a fellow godot user! The art is charming, and the use of the dash in conjunction with the attack makes for satisfying kills if you line it up right. All in all, an awesome entry!
I lost count of how many times I replayed this. Each time I tried a different tactic- until I found the 360 high attackspeed and movespeed build xD Very fun!
I was so obsessed with cows....I forgot to refuel xD Avoiding cows is a minigame in itself haha! Awesome game! xD
I really wish I could play this- It looks fun! I'm sure you did a good job! Q-Q
This is adorable and nostalgic! I love how you expanded on the already awesome idea of raising a tamagotchi, and make it more endearing! Adorable!
Oh man, this was one of my personal favorites in this jam. It's so simple, yet, I feel real empathy for the souls. The writing while short, was brilliantly done, and the music really adds to the somber atmosphere. The simple aesthetics acts to really contrast with the narrative and the weight of my limited actions. Beautiful, beautiful game!
Oh boy, this game really tested my humanity- No matter what I do somebody will pass as a result, and the point system encourages pragmatic players to re-evaluate their "survival of the fittest" approach via rewarding empathy.
Additionally, the minor details of the goba fruit's growth properties is really intuitive and well thought out. You guys need a separate "Game Design" category!
Of course the art and sound/music is spot on! A touching, well thought-out game that was a pleasure to play! ^~^
This is amazing! The controls are very fluid and pretty intuitive, the visuals and the music/audio is spot on! The level of polish is insane! Awesome work! >~<
I liked this one! The movement is quick and responsive, and together with the music makes for a refreshing farm/gathering experience! (I do love my 2D platformers!) There was one point where I fell through the ground after being injured, but that's to be expected in a 3day jam after all xD Nice work!
This was really relaxing, and it was genuinely interesting to see how the stories would unfold, kinda like a flip book- Awesome entry!
Wow. The level music is epic. I'm flying and some enemies fly outa nowhere and we have the most epic tokyo-drift-esq arial dogfight, and it's truly exhilarating! Not only that, in the intermission where we switch to farming is seamless, and the the leitmotif element in the music transition just blows me away...The aesthetics, the gamefeel, awesome!!! xD
drift.PNG
This is addicting holy cow! Very addicting xD
This was slightly confusing at first, but once I got the hang of it I had a lot of satisfaction solving the puzzles! I got stuck with the Imp level, but I could see myself playing this all day! It's always encouraging to see another Godot user. Not only that, you use beepbox! Absolutely amazing!
This was really well-made and thought out! I'm terrible at platforming, but it was still very fun- especially hitting baddies out of the air ^~^
I am unstoppable! Deploy as many mininukes as you wish! Awesome game xD
Too Short! This is one of the most polished games (in terms of mechanics and game-feel) I've come across in this jam thus far (after 80 games)! Seriously, the controls are amazing, and I absolutely love the midair sling mechanic! I do hope you continue with this game- I would buy it in a heartbeat off steam! Need more levels!!! ^~^
uh oh.png
That one poor homeowner who refuses to move out xD Always enjoy a game that allows me to make stuff! Awesome game ^~^
"Uh-oh" - that moment, along with the music really had me laughing xD. What an amazing game! I absolutely love the aesthetic, and the music, I literally was sad that I had beaten the game- the puzzles were challenging, but very satisfying when solved... Perfect in my book- Lovely game! ^~^
The web mechanic was a really good idea- Very cozy, very adorable! Lovely game!
Lilly pads are bad for my heart- even without sound this game was really fun! Awesome work!
The worm almost gave me a heartattack- good thing I had just enough! Awesome game! Capture.PNG
First off, Love the sound recordings for the characters(xcom fan)! The combat pretty goood, and I absolutely love the screen rotation feature! Additionally, the music is amazing! It feels refreshing/energizing, and I could listen to it all day with no fatigue. Awesome work! >~<
The movement in this game is exactly how I move in my dreams, arms and legs flailing and flying into the sun xD Met a friendly roo with a blade, turned around and was killed by a car. A right fever dream to be sure. Nice Job ^~^ oi.PNG
I couldn't quite figure it out... I only have 2 braincells- one for eating, and one for sleeping Q-Q That said, lovely art, and I've come to quite enjoy harvest chat's company heheh.... Awesome game!
Wow. This is incredibly well-made. The visuals, the music/audio, and the narrative and gameplay really come together to create an immersive world- I actually want more of this! I really hope you guys continue to expand this game. This has that Crying Suns aesthetic, except the detailed portrait animation/narration really takes it to the next level.... I love this game. Great work! ^~^
This is really cool! I like how each action has a set pattern/shape, so one has to think strategically before each action, lest they accidentally pick prematurely or outright burn good crops. I can see this being further expanded with an inventory/market system along with quests and penalties. Awesome work! ^~^
The farmer came outa nowhere nearly gave me a heart attack! Love the creepy atmosphere, and gameplay is smooth! A little bit of sound would go a long way in terms of increasing tension, but I'm sure you would have nailed that too if you had enough time xD All in all, an awesome game!
@haztro Ooh! I can hear it! It actually makes it feel more intense haha!
This is a horror game if I ever saw one- one that spirals deeper into madness- a chaotic fever dream and the men are my braincells haha! very interesting game ^~^
This was very relaxing- Manual labor never felt so good....from the comfort of my chair! Beautiful game! xD
I couldn't do my job- how can I!? These folks out here are only doing honest work! >,> Honestly, this is my favorite game so far- the voice acting is absolutely hilarious and endearing haha xD I can't think of anything to improve - Amazing game!
It's rare to see a story-driven game, especially in such a time restrictive game jam- very refreshing! The dialogue is adorable and I loved the atmosphere! Great work!
You know, as an illustrator, it is pretty scary to see how quickly Ai could make beautiful art, but I can also see this opening up the the industry for new aspiring game-devs, which I'm happy about! ^~^
This was hard! Learned very quickly to monitor the speed and proximity to the edges- very simple, yet intense, creative and fun! Only thing I would add is a global scoreboard. This would really, REALLY make this an addictive game! Amazing work!
The art is awesome, and the bag/jump-hover mechanic is a really cool- with how its incorporated into the puzzle! The music is so chill too =~=
This one was so satisfying to play! Super adorable art, and I could play this forever xD Awesome game!
Difficult, but satisfying! I only was able to defeat the pumpkin with a combo of 30 something! This mechanic is so addicting! Very creative, very fun!
Despite playing with keyboard, the controls felt very good! As a resource hoarder, I really appreciated the 360 hi-powered scythe attack heheh... Of course I got overwhelmed, but it was very satisfying to pop the bigboys xD Amazing level of polish. Awesome game!
Expanded until framerates dropped to 4-6fps xD This was a simple, yet very addicting game. Laid back and satisfying indeed. Awesome game!
Darrrn you @metzkermeister !!! I freaking can't beat your score! This is the game I played the most out of some 30ish games I've tested so far. The global leaderboard is a stroke of genius. Replay value is infinite despite the game itself being so simple. Visuals are good, sound/music is good. glowing obstacles are nightmare fuel. Amazing game!
I love this game! The sniper is hands-down the best weapon, and I freaking LOVE the music! Ah....perfection xD
I'm usually pretty squeamish, and was hesitant to play this. I'm glad I gave it a try- As odd as it sounds, this game feels very nostalgic, kinda like how I felt playing Va11-Hall-A. That very relaxing feeling of going along for a ride. The gameplay had me on edge in a good way, and it felt very balanced. Great game!
I liked the retro feel of this game, and my man tore 6 orc-monsters with his bare hands! Took a while to figure out the farming- kept trying to harvest the plants while holding seeds, only to see them wither before my very eyes... This was pretty fun! Awesome game! ^~^
Holy cow, this game is really fun! I wanna buy more plants! I need more! Really well put-together, and with how the upgrades and space work in this game, I see it having potential to be more fun than pvz, which is extremely limited in its scope. One thing I would like added if the world were mine is- maybe obstacles to exploit the vast map. It would give players creative freedom to build/play as creatively as they want!
Phenomenal entry! ^~^
This was nice- it kinda makes me wanna play minecraft again- The music is relaxing, and the day-night cycle is a cool idea xD
This was another really fun one! Thanks for the intense 3 days No-Whone xD
@rintheone Ayy thanks! Honestly I felt the same after I encountered the final boss- The end was bittersweet! Thanks for playing, and for the kind words!
@camden-obertop Haha thanks for playing it! no-whone really pulled through all the last-minute crunch (I couldn't do anything if not for his help Q~Q)
@medow Aye for sure! The stop-mechanic takes a little time to get used to, but that only makes the speed/attack speed upgrades so much more satisfying ^~^
@gawain-doell Haha thanks! Yeah, the stop-mechanic really makes it a bit of a resource management, and the upgrades capitalize on allowing for playstyle variation surprisingly well! no-whone really did an amazing job!
@emmy-kidman Eheheh~ Thanks for the kind words! xD
@turtleflyte Haha I think I encountered that too- the glitch overcame the game xD
@tyin Ayy thanks for playing! It is difficult in the beginning for sure- while the balance is pretty good, sometimes upgrade rng make eating difficult/dangerous to do xD
@nick-sandison Aye thanks for the kind words! The game design/code was all no-whone! Seriously that guy does amazing work, which allows me to do assets without worry haha ^~^
@frogman Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed playing it! I only realized this after beating it, but there was an option to toggle the glitch effect! And I was just as surprised as you when I saw the boss at the end- I wasn't sure we had enough time, but no-whone added a bunch of stuff at the last moment, the madlad! Also, that's a good idea for the bunnies, but I doubt we would have been able to add it sadly xD
@t90 Thanks m8! Yeah, the movement does take a little getting used to haha- Thanks for playing our game!
@rich-machines Ayy thanks for playing! Yes that seems to be the most common point that people point out, will definitely keep that in mind- thanks for the feedback!
@mr-sun Fair point, really appreciate the feedback! Thank you for playing our game! ^~^
@ghpxi That's totally understandable! While it is possible to toggle the effects when pausing the game, it was not obvious to me either until after I beat the game haha xD Thank you for playing!
@teddyreid You beat it on your first try! Yes the boss caught me off guard too- I didn't even know about it until my second playthrough I believe xD
@nick-saulnier Thank you! Having an enemy reanimate right before you harvest it can really throw a wrench into gameplay for the unsuspecting player xD
@blurdeblah Heheh, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks! ^~^
@tukisboolukis Ayy thank you! That was all no-whone's idea, I really liked it too!
@maymay Thank you! Aye that's a good idea! We'll definitely remember that for next time! ^~^
@100th-coin Heheh......heheheh... Ahh... So this is what it feels like to watch someone play your game..! Quick! @no-whone ! We gotta join the next available jam today!!!
Jokes aside, I really appreciate you taking the time to make a recording- it really puts into perspective various aspects of the game I overlooked in my own playthrough. It's been very insightful. Thank you! ^~^
@nick-hayashi Aye! Thank you for the kind words! ^~^
@xeke-death Haha thanks! The bunnies were pretty much last minute, and someone earlier mentioned the bunnies having some sort of surprise attack- which is an awesome idea xD
@socksngames Haha thanks man, I'm glad you enjoyed playing our game! ^ㅅ^
@paulsams Ayy thanks for the review! I totally see what you mean! We kinda have a history (mostly no-whone) making games too difficult- so we made a conscious decision to make it easier, for better or for worse xD
@jeffsobel Haha thanks, I'm glad you had fun! Aye, that glitch effect is really fun to watch, though there is an option to turn it off for those who prefer it otherwise ^~^
@cody1712 Aye thanks for playing! Our last game was neigh unbeatable, so we decided to try to make it more balanced this time around xD
@metzkermeister I love that anime! I was a fan even before the anime was announced haha! Funnily enough, I was considering using "That time I got reincarnated as a slime" for something, but decided there was no time haha- and yes, sleep was not our friend xD
@leoteiknar Ayy thank you! Glad you liked it ^~^
@antoniothereis Yess! I did encounter that too! It seems to happen when there are many enemies spawning- thanks for pointing it out!
@kinggurke Thanks for the kind words! Aye the ending is bittersweet haha xD
@yaen Ayy thanks for playing 'till the end! The stomping ability doesn't proc every step, but has a chance to damage mobs standing next to you as you move around! ^~^
@ghastlymicrowave Thank you! It's an honor to be compared to such an awesome game heheh ^~^
@alex-de-la-cour Ayy thanks! I was surprised too just how good no-whone put everything together ehehe ^~^
@mad-rabbit Haha thank m8 xD
@langotriel Thank you for playing, and for the kind words! ^~^
@dacs Ehehe thank you for the kind words ^~^
@quinn Thank you, that's very encouraging to hear! ^~^
@machino Thanks for the review! Yes I feel you, I ran across that bug too when playing it myself- it seems to only happen near the end of the run too =___=
@parker-nalch Thank you, that means so much to hear! I'm glad you were addi- err... really enjoyed the game! ^~^
@renneberg Ayy, thank you! It was super fun to work on haha xD
@yaen By the way, just so you know, your game- "Let The Oink Out" is what introduced me to Ludum Dare, and I just so happened to see this jam and joined with my friend haha xD
@joker15277 Ayy thanks for playing haha ^~^
@poboy haha thank you! The glitch idea was fun to work around- I’m glad you stuck it out ‘till the boss! xD
@nomersol thank you! Even I was surprised- no-whone did a really good job of creating variations of each mob xD
@copito Ayy thanks, I have no idea haha >w<
@yaen Aye! That video was epic! It left me with goosebumps, as I watched you guys explain the reason and process that went into making it! xD
@profan Haha thank you! It's really no-whone who came up with the idea and feel of the game! It was super fun working on the sprites too ^~^
@kikiriki367 Haha thank you, this was fun to read! Thats a super interesting idea for a different playstyle! I’m gonna have to try that out myself! Given the time constraints this was all we could fit sadly Q-Q
@yaen Ooh it was GMTK! My bad- I got the names confused! I’m so glad we joined this one though xD
@alchemic Ooh, that never came across my mind, but I suppose mapping the harvest to right-click, or even spacebar would be more ergonomic- thanks for the review! It was fun watching your commentary ^~^
@yaen Aye, thank you! (>ㅅ<)b
@caldane Hey, thank you for playing our game! I'm glad you had fun xD
@orhu Ooh that's an awesome idea! Thanks for the feedback! xD
@phillip-scott Thanks! Ikr?! the boss at the end is pretty hard to fight imo too xD
@mysticaldev Thank you! I totally agree with you! It's no problem when it's just one-on-one, but near the end in all the chaos it's much harder to see them! =~=
@zach-hsu Ayy glad you played to the end! Me too! I would have liked to add some more enemies if we had a little more time haha ^~^
@lookleftstudio Holy moly, a respawning boss as a result of waiting too long, would be the biggest back-handed slap a survivor could experience....glorious heheh..... Thanks for playing 'till the end! ^~^
@zub Thank you, I'm glad you liked our game! Our last game was unbeatable, so we decided to make one that is possible to beat haha xD
@sciman101 Woah, that's an awesome idea!? That would have been amazing! \(ㅁOㅁ)/
@ategon Ayy thank you! Honestly, no-whone deserves all the credit for the game-design, as he thought that up all on the spot haha! Also, "bullet heaven", I like that >~<
@stone-pacifier Thank you for the kind words! I recently discovered Jummbox, and became obsessed with making little tunes haha! Its very encouraging to see people enjoy it xD
@the3rdhunter Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the game! I was surprised by the balance as well haha xD
@chybby thanks for the feedback! The proc rate for the healing! Got it xD
@feliza Thank you! I love cute things, and I'm glad you do too haha ^~^
@senso Ayy that means a lot to us! Thanks for the encouraging words!!
@no-whone To this day, I don't think anyone beat that game except me...? Did I even beat it? I don't remember lol xD
@seviaru haha thank you! Glad you had fun xD
@minjutin very very interesting, that's pretty creative!
@blockybear Thank you haha ^~^
@nikolaj I'm glad you liked it! Aye, when I played the completed jam game for the first time, the end really caught me off guard! The movement does require some getting used to as well ^~^
@nicekot Thanks for the review! Aye, No-Whone did a great job with the balancing of the game's mechanics xD
@minjutin @frogman Thanks for the awesome idea! I'm probably not gonna work on it anymore, but here's a lil fan-art as thanks haha ^~^
buni.PNG
@pedro-d-almeida Ayy thanks for playing- and for the review! Sure I'll play your game xD
@minjutin He is Bob, and he wants you to leave his friends alone xD
@skosnowich Aye that was a bug! We actually posted a fixed version on itch.io (the link is in the description above)
@no-whone What!? That's so cool! Why didn't you tell me!?!?
@rargrave Ayy thanks! We destroyed our sleep schedule xD
@tweekstudios Thank you for playing, and for the feedback! Aye it is pretty brutal especially in the earlier stages without the max eating upgrade! xD
@rjerez192 I'm glad you had fun playing, thanks for the encouraging feedback! ^~^
@bloodbane Ayy thanks! Yes! Leveling is the lifeblood! It feels more intense especially if you don't have the max eating speed - eating could mean death xD
Ayy thanks @kr0k ! Thanks for the generous compliment ^~^
@mharring Thank you! Aye, especially if you get slightly worse rng, the slow harvesting speed is a real run killer xD
@hayricakir nice! I wish we had a global scoreboard- with so many people playing, it would have been fun to see Q~Q
@chompdev Thank you! Aye all credits for the juice/fx/gamedesign go to (no-whone)- he's insane! Also that shooting on the move upgrade would have been cool/useful for a hidden/bunny-boss if we had an extra day or two for the jam xDxD
@bloodycoin that makes it sound way more fun- thanks for playing! XD
Thank you so much! This was an awesome learning experience!
I'll definitely steal your scoreboard idea if I get the chance next time xD
@m2tias Ayy thank you! I appreciate you attempting it again even after the event finished haha ^~^
I love the vibe/atmosphere with the snow and music! The unlimited mode is also a nice option for people like me who enjoy more casual gameplay. Also, there's something satisfying about developing a loop where I never stop moving, while keeping up with the orders. The dialogue is really well-written, and childhood-dreams-ending xD Awesome game!
I'm the best, and nobody can dispute it unless they show proof- Really cool game ^~^
bestest.PNG
Holy cow, the pixel art is so good! and it's adorable how the hog ducks with you- innovative and smooth mechanics. Awesome work!
That was pretty adorable- almost reminds me of toy Christmas trains for some reason ^~^ sticker.png
While it's pretty straight forward, this is the first game I saw with character customization! The animations are also adorable, and the general aesthetics of the game is very appealing! The movement controls were slightly clunky, but it still felt good- I definitely see potential in this game! Awesome work! ^~^
I was able to reach the end! It's intuitive, challenging and yet not frustrating. Beautiful Title screen and awesome music throughout- soothing, and not fatiguing over a long period. Overall, very satisfying game!
This was hillarious haha xDimage.png
I loved this challenge- Awesome game!
I had to stop myself, this game is insanely addicting. I really wish there was more! Awesome game! Capture.PNG
This is pretty fun despite the slow progression, being able to see more as I get bigger is a nice reward, and adding a couple more of the big ones would really be satisfying- All in all, a fun game!
This game's crafting-like system is super nostalgic! As a huge fan of Etho'sLab I absolutely loved the moded minecraft scene and this reminds me of that haha xD I'm not super good with puzzles, but I could definitely see this being an awesome game if given enough time- Great work!
Heya, I really wanna try out this game, but it only shows up as a notepad file. Am I missing something? Q-Q
This game has a lot of potential, and I absolutely love the vibe and aesthetic! I'm guessing the robot/cyborg chips would have been used for something as well- maybe upgrades for my car? From what I could see, I'm sure you had some more mechanics planned but just ran out of time, which is expected. However, a global scoreboard would would really add to the feeling of progress, and would provide bragging rights! All in all, awesome entry! ^~^
I spent a long time playing this (3 tanks, 3 freezers, and all tools except brain) Fun. Just insanely fun. Hate the eye goblins tho. Only thing I would point out is that the freezers sprites stack, preventing me from accesing them. Other than that, this is insanely...
Fun.
Wow! The art is adorable, and the music/sounds helped to create a very serene atmosphere. The dialogue was charming and heartwarming! I really enjoyed playing this one ^~^
This was really cool! I like how I can either decide to try for a higher score or speedrun it! Only thing I might add is some sort of difficulty increase the longer you wait in the bush (woodcutter speed increase perhaps) Awesome entry ^~^
score.png
Seriously, I was blown away by this entry- I feel warm and fuzzy inside =~=
Insanely fun, and insanely addicting! I the difficulty increase is perfect, and on top of that you have a scoreboard! There's no way in heck I'm catchin up to first and second, but heck man! Music and sound perfectly sets the mood, and the visuals are amazing! All this in 3 days!? This is a game I'd buy on steam if you put it up!
Such a relaxing game- this is a nice one to play with a hot coffee and some snacks ^~^ I love the cozy atmosphere, and the sprite art is adorable! I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but aftera while I couldn't pick up tomatoes or the new plant here. image (1).png I really enjoyed this one!
This was really well made considering it was your first jam, and compo to boot! What's more it reminds me of a Maplestory minigame called Moonbunny that I loved back in the day...Ah....This was nice. Awesome game!
This was one of the best I've played so far, out of over 50 games. Really polished, hard yet balanced, fun. You absolutely nailed it xD
This is creepy and amazing! Having the sunflowers sprinting across the screen is the most uncanny thing I've ever seen... Absolutely amazing entry! I couldn't figure out how to get ammo for the other weapons, but my peashooter did wonders so no problems there haha xD
12 backhand slaps.PNG Need I say more? This is the most fun game I've played out of over 30 games so far...hands-down funniest game.
In a way, this could be considered the ultimate game xD
This was pretty cool! The music is also super chill ^~^
The store owners staring at my crops as we wait for them to grow xD
wait.PNG
Ahh this game feels very nostalgic (portal x overcooked x single-player)! A really fun resource management game, and my only complaint is that I wish I could play longer! Seriously it's very polished considering you had only 3 days! Awesome work!
Capture.PNG Finally beat it... only by switching over do my drawing screen, which is cheating I know. I would never have beaten this otherwise (Even Osu is easier for me) That said, this was satisfying after practicing about a dozen or so times haha xD
Brilliant game design! I saw a giant school and I couldn't resist. Adorable. This is the most adorable thing I've ever seen in any game jam.... yap-yip! xD
This is an interesting take on the farm/harvesting theme! The meteors forces me to space the plants apart, but that also increases the time it takes to harvest them as well as increasing the surface they cover, increasing the risk of them being hit. I found my paranoia had me leaving at least one of each kind unplanted in case they got demolished- That is, until i discovered I could plant one safely under the floating portal xD Music was relaxing, the 3d movement was a nice change of pace, and overall it was fun! Awesome game!
This is so adorable!! I love this take on the harvest theme- I've set up an auto-harvesting factory in the entrance xD Awesome game!
Woah, you kept with it! I’ll definitely try it when I get the chance and leave a review!
I loved your corn one, and I love this one even more! smallest speaker for shortest song got me haha! Brilliant as expected xDAyy.PNG PS: The fact that this is compo as well blows me away
Just wow, the aesthetics and all the characters, the music, everything is amazing! It was super hard, but at the same time rewarding when I got the right customer.... well.... except her. We don't like her. Hitlist.PNG I'm putting extra ice in her drink.
Love the music/vibes! This is something that I would have loved to play instead of coolmath games haha! one jam.PNG
PS: I had one jam left xD
Truly a tragedy...but it must be done... doosie is right.PNG
image.png
I really enjoyed this one! It was daunting at first, but it quickly became addictive haha xD
This is one of my favorite entries thus far! The difficulty is extremely well-balanced and allows for different playstyles....I'm blown away with how perfect the balance is! It took me 3-4 playthroughs, each progressively easier as I figure out patterns and optimize my route/strategy... This is by far the best-designed game I've played in this Jam (I've still a ways to go though haha)! Not to mention I really enjoy the vibe and aesthetics- the dude really looks like furious Pete xD Awesome entry! yay.PNG
This was insanely fun and equal parts challenging! I wasn't destined to complete it, but- no.PNG
The drifting is so satisfying when I'm actually able to pull it off, and I initially forgot this was a delivery game and not Tony Hawks haha -awesome entry xD Tony Stonks.PNG
I want more! This is so fun haha xD brilliant.PNG
Yet another fun project! Thanks NoWhone!
Also, FIRST! Huehue ^~^
I think it may have been too easy once you figure it out xD HS.PNG
@LorenzoCgt Ayy thank you! haha xD
@perryseity Much thanks, they're quite adorable aren't they- especially the little mice in their little tanks xD
@peterfiftyfour Thank you, it is quite hectic now that you mention it! It is something we'll consider if we get to expand on this idea in a future project :D
@Triangle Point Yes! Robots! Mechs are something I've always loved and want to do more of! Thank you haha ^~^
@Fersyvanderzee Ayy glad you liked it! [NoWhone] really did an awesome job as usual, tying everything together so nicely haha xD
@awr Thank youu, I totally agree heheh =~=
@Simeon Radivoev Thank you, I agree it does get quite hectic xD
@Sarry Ayy I'm happy you enjoyed it! Honestly I kept switching up our plan throughout, but [NoWhone] managed to make a cohesive game despite my shenanigans (sorry bro haha) xD
@weirdbitgames Thank you, I totally agree! [NoWhone] did an amazing job with the game-feel and transitions xD
@wadlo I gotta agree with you on that one. (As the non-coder) I also jumped right in and was pleasantly surprised at the intuitive controls! Thank you for playing ^~^
@drainkid Yes, two of some of my favorite things, cats and mechs! Glad we're on the same page xD
@divi Ayy thanks for playing! Definitely is a bit slow at first, but gets hectic once you have multiple groups to keep track of (I tried this too haha)
@akuirako Aww thanks for the high compliment, I also fell in love with the sprites somewhere along the way! ^~^
@fuse-in-a-bowl I agree with you, the difference isn't very obvious besides the green (they threw me off at first too haha). Difficulty modes sounds exiting honestly, I'd love to have a chance to revisit this game/concept in the future!
@0x-void-x0 Thank you! [NoWhone] did an amazing job with the code on such short notice, (I kept switching up on him midway too). Thank you for playing!
@jp-design Absolutely! This is something I would love to expand upon sometime in the future! xD
@str8griz Aye I'm glad you had fun with it! There definitely are some really fun ideas I wanna try with this moving forward to future jams ^~^
@roalinn Heheh much thanks!!
@bqq Thanks for the insight! The lack of water crates can be pretty brutal, especially in the split-defense strat haha Q-Q
@wiredoverload Thanks for playing! I agree that there definitely is room for adjustments (I've noticed that in my gameplay as well for the most part). I find myself quite intrigued with this game haha- hopefully I can revisit it sometime xD Thank you for your insight!
@7331 I actually experienced a similar issue with music/sound cutting as I progressed past a certain point- I'm sure there's a way to lessen the load, however this technically isn't a bullet hell with projectile collisions, so it kinda goes over my head haha.. That said, now I'm curious- thanks for the feedback!
@aloya Thanks Brodder heheh xD
@alks Haha I agree, NoWhone is really good at them juicy mechanics! I'll keep the sound in mind for the next one!
@hcs-hades IKR! That *MEOW* really shook me to my core- I have 2 cats (Bobo and Leo), and they never make such a gut-wrenching sound like that... R.I.P. little robo-cattos Q-Q
@agudar Much thanks friend! ^~^
@alchemic Wow thank you, I'm happy you liked it! This project was quite endearing, and I definitely plan to expand on some stuff for future projects xD
@ttu-hasan Aye glad you enjoyed it!
@fireslash Yes, yes! I agree- this is one of those projects that would be really fun to expand upon (I personally want a cute little story haha). Thank you for playing!
@enra Thank you! I do plan to mess around with some of the ideas/vibes from this entry, a proper update, however, would depend on [NoWhone], the mastermind behind the overall game design and development =P
@cinterre Thank you! The tower defence + redeployment was quite fun, and I want to try it again sometime!
@alexascher Definitely, this is the greatest takeaway from our entry for LD53, it's a really fun idea to work around!
@alexsolonnikovp4 Much appreciated! When our dev [NoWhone] showed me the gameplay I was quite taken aback (in a good way), it was nothing I've seen before haha! xD Thank you for playing!
@bartalomew You know what, I think that would be pretty fun- If it's fun enough, I'll keep mobile ports in mind for future stuff xD
@skleembof I totally agree with you, If NoWhone wants to develop it further I don't mind making some new assets for him to play around with haha xD
Gotta say... The music is a bop! The game was actually quite challenging but rewarding haha xD Awesome work! BoxMeister.PNG
This game requires real strategy to get consistent scores, which is awesome! The trick is to linger in positions with a good fallback as well as side grab options (I tend to straddle quite a bit). I wasn't able to figure out the dash grab mechanic, maybe there is a delay before I can grab once dashing.
-Only gripe is, in the blizzard level if something fell on top it was instant death with low recovery chance. I think reducing stamina drain for single grab would allow more leeway for recovery, and feel less rng.
All-in-all, really well thought out game! Made it.PNG
This was a very well executed idea with adorable aesthetic and satisfying game-feel! I did notice a recurring bug where I get stuck, but it's so minor that my score is virtually unaffected (I just needed to click off screen and back). All-in-all, Awesome entry ^~^ Dash.PNG
For the grappling alone I love this game. What I did not expect was to be shot outa the sky by a train- nearly gave me a heartattack! That was fun haha xD
Incredible level of polish, and (even more important) incredibly fun! This game has very pleasant sound and visuals, and I can play this for a long time! Nice work ^~^
This was really fun haha! Also, I couldn't help myself xD no package smh.PNG
As a fan of Divinity 2 Original sin, Shadowrun Dragonfall, The Delight Game stories, and Day R survival, I absolutely loved reading through this immersive story! Ahh.... now I wanna find another one to enjoy with a nice hot coffee.... Awesome game!
I really love the eerie mood of this game- That ramp was helpful in getting more air, and it made the floor cam much more useful in locating the drones. This is like if Subnautica took place in the sky haha xD Awesome work!
