To be honest I don't understand how I can avoid dying... do I need to kill the plants? Anyways, love the sounds and art style!

Really fun, but very stressful
@mola0404 WE DID IT! WELCOME TO MINIMUM WAGE
@lukas-boersma Your goal is to harvest the plants! If they are grown enough to have fruit, you can walk up to them and press E to pick them. If they are grown enough to have more than fruit, you may have to press it multiple times or hold it. The indicator above the plant lets you know what to do (mashing or holding)
Great looking game. It would need some more feedback on the user actions but appart from that it was quite fun.
Really fun, I just wish it was slightly clearer what the end goal was. The humor was really good as well
Nice work. Beautiful plants art style
Great job on this one! The art is excellent and the music fits well. The difficulty curve is just about right, but takes a few tries before you get the hang of things. I really like how the actions/minigames to harvest each overripe plant is a bit different. Great sense of humor, too, on the "Notice of Termination -- Reason: DEATH", haha! :)
As someone who has worked in a produce department, I can confirm that this is accurate company behavior. Sorry you died we are now firing you. Great game. Had fun not sure what happiness does I'm guessing nothing? is expensive though.
Pretty fun little game. The controls feel a little sloggy with not much feedback, so that could be an improvement!
Those are some lovely plants, if only they didn't want to eat me. The company culture was wonderful and I didn't expect it to be so difficult for me, which is wonderful as I love suffering. Also love the description over here, Splendid work!
Needing to smash E for some plants was super unclear. I'd have preferred nothing requiring that but if you're going to have it, some way to make it obvious that's what you have to do would be nice.
This will be nutrition in 2014
Great entry. It's really cohesive, has clear direction and is a nice little package. I think the melee plants are weird though. I understand they change color to telegraph their attack, and going by the description I think I'm supposed to mash E on them? Picking plants in general is pretty fiddly because of the tiny distance you need to keep, but I think that was intentional to make it feel scrambly. I avoided the melee plants on my winning run though. Pretty funny, too!
@peringo Ideally, we could have had some way of telegraphing their remaining health. In retrospect, I could have given them a bar showing the number of taps remaining. You can hit E on them a few times, run away, and then return and finish them off. The idea was that they would cover an area and pressure you away from it, keeping players constantly moving. I wanted both plants to mildlypunish their own uprooting style, so that it always felt a little on edge and risky: The melee plants are a race between you and the plant and can often be hit and run, while the hold plants promote standing still which ideally makes you think "oh man i hope that pineapple doesn't land before this finishes." I'm glad you enjoyed!
Game looks great and is fun to play. Main feedback is to help movement around the level would be great if the game helped you slide around the tables as I often got stuck if I ran into a collision area of the table.
Fun spin on the theme and adding the lunch break is an interesting and well implemented mechanic, well done!
This felt like a very polished game and I lved the art!
This one was cool! Took a little while to find out I needed to hold E, but other than that it was a nice challenge. Music and sound was good, and I like the dark humor xD
Good job! I loved the art style and the humor. The hitbox for the thrown corn was a little confusing, but a really fun game nonetheless.
I liked the visuals and the sound design in your game. I think the time window for harvesting the plants was too short and my runs ended up really fast because of that.
Interesting idea and nice artwork. Constantly getting stuck on corners was annoying, it may have been better with circular collision shapes make navigation a bit more forgiving.
I didn't realise you had to hold E on the throwing plants until reading the comments. I assumed you were are supposed to mash E to win on all of them. On replaying I see the clues were there, I just missed them in the chaos. It wasn't very clear where the projectiles were to dodge them.
Great concept lol it was quite fun, although the collisions were getting frustrating at some point. Nice work :)
"Bingo Blammo Boppo" is quite the powerful legal spell! I imagine only level 8 lawyers and higher can pull that one off.
I feel like the plants grew a bit too fast. In the early stage, you can the first one easy, maybe the second one early as well, but after that it feels impossible to get any of them before they fully grow. Cool game, but I think it gets too difficult too fast.
Very nice and polished =)
Great art, humour, and an original take on the theme. As a few other folk have mentioned there's some frustration with movement and knowing what inputs are required. It also took me a while to figure out when it was safe to walk through a midair pineapple. a shadow or some visual indication of height other than the size might convey this a little better - or some kind of splash on impact so you can see and get a feel for the danger zone. A Pac-man style 'leave one side of the screen and re-enter in the other side' mechanic could be nice here too - it often felt a bit hopeless to get to anything but the closest few pots before they monsterize which limited tactics. Overall a pretty solid entry that feels just a few tweaks away from being addictive. Well done!
Visually beautiful game. I really liked the graphics. The gameplay is simple but good. I had some trouble initially figuring out how I should use the E button on different plant types. Overall it was a good job!
Nice and funny game. Lorem ipsum in the notice of termination made me really laugh.
Kept getting stuck on the planting beds, ree! Love the smooth animation and feel of the character though, nice work :).
Very funny game! Plant objects overlaps hero. But overall very cool game!
Nice job! This one feels like it's on the *edge* of greatness. Gameplay loop was promising, art was good, and it had nice variety.
The thing that held it back for me was that the character movement didn't "feel" good, so it was often more frustrating than anything to play.
I liked it. I loved the art-style. But I died really really often :-) Maybe I am too slow
Quality art and some good dark humour, I thought the gameplay loop was pretty addictive - all too easy to go back for one more game when I died - but the hitboxes were a bit tough all around. Often I got hit by a pineapple when I felt like I dodged it, got stuck running against a pot or pressed E next to a plant and didn't harvest it. Despite that, still a fun experience!
The game is quite hard, and can be improved, but i like the concept. One major thing that i disliked was the grow speed of plants being too fast. I think you can slow it down to make the game more interesting. But overall it's still a cool game, good job!
