I had a difficult time knowing whether I was shooting or not, or if it was possible to switch weapons. The GUI design is really nice.

Interesting idea! I liked the second camera showing what is below you, interesting take when you can't tilt the camera up and down. Shooting was a bit wonky, but did manage to take down a drone. Some feedback on when you're going out of bounds would be nice. But the game looked pretty good, good work!

Thank you guys for your feedback! It is indeed hard to shoot, I coded that in the last 15 minutes before the jam finished. I'll show my mates your feedback <3

This game was pretty good, although some parts were kind of weird.

So much to love here! The UI design, the city layout, and the consistent color pallet gave a very strong aesthetic.

The map reminds me of 'Big City' from GMOD - if anyone is familiar. I had good fun just zipping through the buildings and exploring the limits of my range.

I very much enjoyed the quick battle I had with the illegal delivery drone - I wish there were more! Perhaps an indicator to chase them around.

Very well done! I love seeing games like this with a unique approach to movement, and a clear visual style. Great work!

The aesthetic and atmosphere was both serene and a little creepy, making everything through the lens of a camera gave it a really unique vibe. Loved the static effect when you go too far from the city too.

Not sure if I did anything wrong but I could barely see/find drones and I just shot one and everything was empty. Other than that I like the moody music and atmosphere I just wasnt sure what to do

These drones are fast and sneaky. Thanks for your feedback! ❤️

The drone movement is done really well, maybe having CTRL/Space for up and down as well would have been nice. I wish there were more drones to shoot unless I just suck at finding them

Game seemed to play over wine with no problems.

Controlling the drone felt really great! But the motion blur started to make me sick after a little bit.

Idea is very neat, but in my case enemies drones won't spawn, and I can't shoot. Btw, flying on the city is so melancholic. =) And GUI really nice

I really love the eerie mood of this game- That ramp was helpful in getting more air, and it made the floor cam much more useful in locating the drones. This is like if Subnautica took place in the sky haha xD Awesome work!

I have to admit that I got attracted by the cover image and the eye-opening animation. Game control in probably not in the best tier, but the overall art and music deliver the mood very well.

There is something oddly captivating with this calming, yet eerie game. Don't know if it's because of the frequent swooshing of the propellers or the regular announcement from that echoing voice. I did however really struggle to find drones even when taking several laps around the city. I couldn't really figure out if they were even spawning or if I was just bad at searching. Might not be necessary to make them more eye-catching but could at least be worth considering if they should maybe spawn more frequently. Overall, the game really set the mood and the dual camera perspective of the drone was pretty neat. Good job on the game and the really cool cover art!

Liminal mood. Q/E to ascend decend - is not comfortable. Spacebar and shift would be better. Mouse aim was to sensitive and shooting lacks any feedack. Great main menu! Was promising. Flying feels good (except Q/E)

Interesting game, the experience was a bit lessened by the lack of feedback whenever I, for example, was shooting.

patatenouille 2023-05-05 18:29

That was a strange experience. I feel like the delivery side really isn't present in the game, I'm guessing you ran out of time to make a win/lose condition involving deliveries.

The map boundaries are a bit hard to avoid at first as when the "losing signal" effect appears you don't have time to stop and go back the other way if you already had a good amount of speed.

I laughed when I saw the street going off in the distant village that's just a triangle as I used a similar perspective trick in my own game too haha :joy:

I think the drones are quite hard to see, though it only took me a couple minutes to find all 5.

For an improved version, I think it could be interesting to have the drones actually going somewhere instead of aimlessly flying around, so you actually have to stop them. Maybe add a way to highlight drones so you're not pixel hunting. And maybe have both good and bad drones, so you'd have to maybe get close and scan to determine if they are transporting legal goods and take the appropriate action.

As a drone enthusiast myself, I think the vertical controls could be a bit more responsive, could be interesting to be able to completely cut the motors and fall rapidly, or boost upward. Usually the throttle is linked to how much the drone leans when moving, the higher it is, the more you can lean and still go horizontal, maybe that could make for an interesting movement scheme ? As in when strafing increasing the throttle would make you go faster, but when stationary the throttle makes you go up/down.

It's lacking a goal, better feedback (like a vfx when shooting) and some polish, but overall I liked the concept. Cool game.

Love the title screen! I think the 'standard' controls for ascending/descending are Ctrl/Space so I had to look back at the page to figure that out. I couldn't really tell if I was shooting... I thought the audio sound was an 'error' until I found a drone and gunned it down apparently haha. Some kind of visual effect on the shooting and some hit sound or effect would make that more clear what's happening.

I think it'd be more motivating to play if there was some indication of progression like how many drones are left or how many I have to destroy.

Having a separate viewport to locate drones was a cool idea, I really liked that :)
