Really cool game! I like the pixel art a lot, and you really nailed the atmosphere of the game. The ship took a bit of time to get used to controlling, but once I got the hang of it it was pretty fun. Good job on the entry!
Love the graphics and mood, the controls are hard, but that's probably intentional. A lot more feedback when drilling, collecting and getting hurt would be nice.
Drilling was fine . enjoyed the music ., control of vehicle was very hard good entry though
Cool game. Parts of it really reminded me of Starbound which is my favorite game :)
You have to be mindful of how you control the ship to avoid bumping into stuff. The controls are a bit different than usual but probably more realistic. If I remember correctly that's how Starbound does it with mech walks.
Something to think about is the permadeath, maybe go back to the level start instead of a full game restart?
The parallax backgrounds are cool!
Very difficult to control the ship unfortunately. Way too easy to go absurdly fast lol.
Good atmosphere and concept though!
Wow. This is incredibly well-made. The visuals, the music/audio, and the narrative and gameplay really come together to create an immersive world- I actually want more of this! I really hope you guys continue to expand this game. This has that Crying Suns aesthetic, except the detailed portrait animation/narration really takes it to the next level.... I love this game. Great work! ^~^
@pazzi Thank you for this nice comment!
The controls took a while to get used to but they became a really fun challenge when you learned to go slow and position youself appropriately! Navigating closely around the station was a little bit problematic at times, since it opened the upgrading menu when you got too close. I think it would have been better if you had to reach the station at a specific point in order to open the menu, then you wouldn't enter it unintentionally as often. Overall I think it's a really nicely designed game!
Extremely impressive for a jam game! The art is really effective and polished, and the tense mining and maneuvering around debris really makes you pay attention to every small detail in the environment. The drilling/collecting mechanic is fun and requires you to move carefully and methodically at all times. It's very nice having so much control over your ship and being able to thrust in any direction, in addition to strafing.
Eventually getting the upgraded collector and long-range mining laser was a very nice change of pace. It was also really cool that the vessel actually changes appearance gradually as you upgrade each element. Excellent work on this game - you guys are amazing!
I am impressed that you managed to make such a good game in such a short time! It is great! It took me some time to get used to the controls and I had a lot of fun when I finally managed not to die
You've made something pretty complex and big here and your audio-visuals craft a wonderful atmosphere. I would have loved to play more but when I died from the second time ind the second level to the drones because there was just no way I could get enough resources in time to create even just a single turret, I gave up. It's especially sad that it throws you back to the main menu so you have to do level 1 again... Why not just reload the current level as when you entered it?
In my opinion the game is balanced in a way that makes it too hard to achieve the objectives for a new player. It's fine that the ship controls are really difficult. It feels like you're in outer space and I imagine that to be hard to control. However, the player health, the time when the drones start coming in, the station health, the amount of resources needed. Pretty much all of these could be tweaked in order to make the game a lot more accessible.
Chill entry! I really enjoyed the art and atmosphere you've created here. Keep on making games!
I think some sort of UI graphic to visualize the direction of your momentum would help with maneuvering and breaking
The upgrades feel way too expensive compared to the amount of resources you get per harvest, I could never afford a single one before dying
Those things aside the game looks great and has a lot of promise
Cool visual and atmosphere.
Especially liked the control of spaceship. It's really challenging.
Thanks for game =)
i really loved the art (sprites, parallax…) and sound design in this game! it gives a strong a nice art direction!
however, controls were a bit tricky to me (they look like some other no gravity controls, but were a bit weird compared to what i was used to know), and i ended up destroying my ship when i thought i was mining oops
Very nice graphics, although controlling the ship was a bit tricky. It was also sometimes hard to get off the station without hitting the buy screen again, although usually strafing would work. Additionally, it would have been nice to have some kind of checkpoint system.
